According to Neela, Aeili passed away from excessive injuries she sustained while maintaining a Shield Other spell upon one of the Lathanderite warriors who had gone in to battle against The General.

Rumours also spread about the bizarre petrification of Aeili's partner and fellow Mystran adherent, one Charraj Cain of the Sword Coast Commercial Exchange. His statue seemed to have been found by Priestess Neela, frozen in a stooping pose over Aeili's fallen body as she lay in situ before the Mystran altar in her temple. It is not known how he ended up in this state, although Neela probably suspects it may have been an attempt at suicide.

Aeili's remains have since been consecrated and interred in the Temple of Ilmater until it can be decided who now, if anyone, would be willing to supply diamonds for a resurrection ritual for her. Inquiries are being made amongst the city's arcanists about sourcing a Stone to Flesh spell to restore Charraj to flesh and bone, if indeed anyone in the SCCE or otherwise is willing to pay for that as well. His tone form remains before the Mystran altar.
Upon Hearing this the Paladin of Sune, Lady Erza Aldren would donate the required ten thousand in diamonds in payment for the resurrection ritual to the temple of ilmater, As well as a wand of stone to flesh to the temple of Mystra. She would leave the use of both to the respective temple however.

///Dms are free to pick the items out of Erza's bag at their leisure.

Rumors spread that the outlaw Belladonna has not been seen in a few days. Strange because she should be setting up a much advertised weapon test in Roaringshore. Further rumors state that she may have been killed by a lynch mob of rag tag adventures. What was left of her body, Most of which seemed to melt away under the effects of some dark magic was unceremoniously dumped at a unknown location along the trades road. There it was left to be eaten by scavenger birds and insects.

Anonymous pirate, asked on the gallows if he repented.
"Yes, I do heartily repent. I repent I had not done more mischief; and that we did not cut the throats of them that took us, and I am extremely sorry that you aren't hanged as well as we."

Word in the Harbor District has it that Dragonwing and Whistling Wanderess are preparing to set sail post haste. They are reportedly about to set off together for a trade mission to Waterdeep. A strong delegation from the Sword Coast Commercial Exchange is rumoured to be on board.

Two cloaked figures may have been spotted running from the Thayan conclave in Balders Gate in seeming haste. Someone watching may have seen them take the back alleys to the sewers and disappear into their depths.

A certain blue cloaked and hooded(or fancy hat wearing) elf that might be familiar to some(and potentially disliked by more than a few) individuals might be seen lingering in The Gate almost exclusively recently. The usually dour elf seems to be even more reclusive than usual, if that were even possible, appearing to casually walk the City streets only once or twice every tenday.

Ship gazing from the Docks district while perusing a small blue tome(or some other variety of book) seems to be the elfs new favorite past-time, and on rare occasions he can be seen standing at his usual perch near the Elfsong Tavern. The elfs solitary meanderings would otherwise see him occasionally, and briefly, visit the Shelf Of Many Books or a table at the Helm and Cloak Inn... albeit while wearing either a distant, pre-occupied, of just plain fatigued expression. Sometimes even a mixture of all three.

Any strangers who approached the blue cloaked elf would likely be met with only the vaguest of bored glances, which is far more than most adventurers he passes might receive... especially those that the elf might have traded barbed words with previously. Those types would not even glean so much as a word, or even a dismissive wave of his gloved hand in their direction as the elf brushed past them with an expression of cool indifference.

The seemingly scant few individuals who the elf is amiable towards would likely receive a greeting from him in the form of a vague tip of the hat or hood before the elf queried them about various ongoings, his curiosity clearly piqued by any conversation that would relate in particular to the War. The elf would otherwise let anyone he had previously fought beside against the undead horde know that, if they required his assistance, the barkeep at the Helm and Cloak had instructions to pass along any messages left for him.

A vague approximation of a wave would likely follow whatever short conversation the elf could muster, his hands then folding behind his back and under his cloak to clasp together as he wandered casually away down the street... and with his hooded gaze peering intently northward.

Some may have seen Jon Smythe exit the Blushing Mermaid tavern, in company of a dwarf in black. They traveled through the city together for some time...eventually heading out the East Gate, and toward the Fields of the Dead.

At a later time, no so long after...a band of recognizable faces—Hoiha, Soora, Vendor of the Wanderess Crew...and a dwarf in black—arrived from the north to the Friendly Arm...with a man dressed in gray-green robes, and a sickly appearance to him. As a matter of fact, they all carried a putrid air about them. They made effort to magically clean themselves both outside and in, with magics and potions.

Two halflings made much debate with them all, for some time.

The one they dragged in...did not seem all to well. He barely managed to accept a potion before collapsing again. This group—by now, without the dwarf in black—were seen teleporting away.

It is said that Bran Emberfist, Grand Master of the Order of the Four Ways was seen entering the Thayan Enclave in the East Gate district. He emerged a short time later bearing a small frown - an unusual display of negative emotion for this normally serene, positive man.

Some along the docks of the Harbor District smile, shake their head in odd reaction, even giggle...at the sight they witnessed, or, simply heard tell.

A half-elf known by few as Jon Smythe was seen being carried away from the docked Whistling Wanderess vessel, upon a beer cart, manned by some merry knights who made every effort to cajole and prod the non-walker.

The half-elf carried, himself, seem to enjoy the ride north through the City to the Palace District, where the cart ended up parked in front of the Helm & Cloak.

One could only assume that the revelry of the small group, continued inside...at least, until the environment of the Gate itself, the mood...turned.

A notice is placed up in the Elfsong and the Blade & Stars, as well as in Sorcerous Sundries.
The Temple of Ilmater seeks the aid of one "Maddz Thunderkeg", a noted alchemist, with regards to a matter pertaining to the safety of the city.

It is requested that message be left with Brother Ameris Santraeger at the temple in this regard.

A great battle fought on the Western walls of the city resulted in the forces of the undead being driven off despite damage to the walls and destruction of the catapults. Word is that among the defenders, monks of the Order of the Four Ways took charge of the Northern section of the wall and fought with distinction its defense.

Bran Emberfist, leader of the Order of the Four Ways is again seen entering the Thayan compound in Baldur's Gate. This time when he exits it is with a look of serenity upon his face. Over the following day, word filters out that the Order of the Four Ways and Thay have come into conflict, and some even say that the Order has been declared an enemy of Thay.

The Thayan Enclave personel is seen gathering supplies and items. Workers are seen modifying the roof slightly, and The Khazark himself is seen atop the roof with apprentices.

A large crystal is installed and heavy works on the roof are constantly made, day and night, as the siege rages on.

Rumor is that a half-elf stood on the porch entry to the Helm & Cloak Feast Hall, an exotic blade in one hand, a wine bottle in another, loudly shouting "Boo...boo..." as an expression of disagreement, as maybe (or not) an undead would pass in front of the Hall encroach upon the tranquility of this section of the Palace District.

It is altogether possible, or not, that a few undead heads rolled from undead shoulders, from contact with that keen exotic blade so deftly wielded by a hardly known Master of the Mindful Blade...should an undead made an attempt to disturb either his shouting, or drinking.

While on the porch entryway, some may have heard, or not, him at times ranting about "...that damn paladin" and about "...she's damn eyeless...EYELESS...yet gets on about all over Faerun...fer hundurd years at least!"
