Re: Thundars Ride Logging
the women would follow along with a water skin once she cupped a few handfuls of soil a few hands deep and drop a seed into the hole and covered it sliding the dirt back over it with her hand. Pouring some water over it to dampen the soil. Making an 'around it up' hand gesture she brought some of the men of black rose to surround the cart as they departed for the time being. The other remained behind to watch over the camp protecting the now resting laborers.

Rumor have it that a large wagon load of log was delivered to the Northern Outpost, After the wagon was unloaded and those delivering had taken rest they departed heading towards Thundar's ride in the company of heavily armored man.

As the morning would dawn the camp would slowly become active and after a hearty breakfast the the laborers would get back to work felling the marked tree's.
A small break for lunch would happen as the men and woman would sit around the camp fire and cheerfully talk a while before going back to work.
As the evening would draw near and the day came to a close all work was put aside as a keg or two was taped and the men and woman shared songs and stories well into the night before each would head to there tents to sleep it off to repeat the cycle the next day.
All the while a steady watch would be kept by the Blackrose Soldiers looking out for any signs of trouble.

through out the night maze herself or another soldier she puts in charge make routine patrols around the camp pushing back the goblins or bugbears from the direct area. She puts visible effort into ignoring wildlife and druids. Though come morning she's no where to be seen being reposted else where.

Half a square of approximate five blackrose shoulders plus Makenzie herself are seen within the ruins keeping guard of visitors or trouble makers.

A herculean Banite champion in barbed half-plate and an ox-horned helmet lurks like a great black shark among the umbra of the Temple ruins, sword drawn, policing all pilgrimage to the altar of the Lord Tyrant. He is known as Bueroza. Of co-operative disposition to the presence of Makenzie and the Blackrose soldiers, he seems to be waiting for someone in particular to show their face.

Re: Thundars Ride Logging
Most native creatures of the wood are scarce; some remain, adapting to the situation and taking advantage of the absence of the bugbears and goblins. There are some standouts that still visit; a bear, a dalmatian perhaps. The raven however remains permanently, always watching, and strangely quiet for a corvid. Observing seems its main task, and is disinterested in treats, or those that try and speak with it.
However... should a logger misjudge a tree for felling, it would flutter into the boughs and caw loudly with a brittle voice. And should vampire bats erupt from the watercave and stray too close, it would take flight, cawing and swooping at them. It doesn't seem to do this for the benefit of the camp, but from a natural abhorrence to the undead. It's likely the common-folk who fell the trees and learnt to replace them might learn the meaning of their creepy raven neighbor's actions.

*The blindfolded druid could be seen sometimes, never in the company of the legendary brown bear that was keeping the loggers mostly safe, but often in the company of a smaller, normal looking brown bear. Though she could clearly not see through her blindfold her head seemed to trace the horrizon from hilltops or in the upper limbs of the canopy. If she encountered a ranger from the camp or a logger she said only. . . *
"Do not forget the sacrifice when you go. It must be something of value to you. Something precious in your sight. It must be broken before being laid into the ground to be reclaimed so it may not be taken up again by another."

Winding Waters...
Some time just before the midnight hour, Eleasis 3, the guards might notice a slim-figured elf slipping into the north gates, then move to lean against the wall near the small wharf. The individual in question, hooded and cloaked in blue, would have spent some time scribbling on a piece of parchment with a small sliver of charcoal, glancing up and around somewhat attentively in between...
... and then the elf did, rather wordlessly, tuck his parchment away into the inner folds of his vest, move to the southern exit, and murmur several incantations before vanishing off southward, and into the night.
Around the same hour the following night, on Eleasis 4, the guards stationed at the north wall(assuming they were the same guards) might recognize the same slim individual as they returned from the south. With movement overt and purposeful, the figure glided straight through the settlement and out of the north gates, unslinging a longbow as he went... but this time without the benefits of magical concealment.
With blue cloak fluttering behind him, but still light afoot, the figure strode in plain sight a short ways to the north-east, and then made a slow, counter-clockwise circle around a particular copse of trees before coming to a complete standstill and staring back towards the settlement for thirty heartbeats or so.
Whether or not the crossbowman perched atop the ramparts could even see the lone elf in the woods would be impossible to tell, but they most likely would have noticed the elfs return: a thoughtful expression under-hood as he whispered three words up to the crossbow wielder, and then navigated his way back towards the Fields of the Dead without waiting for reply...

The work and production of lumber would continue on a steady stream as a second load of logs would be loaded and soon depart from the lumber camp headed back towards the Northen Outpost.
The rangers would keep a watchful eye on the surroundings, occasionally they would set out to hunt to complement their current rations with fresh meat.
They would also set traps down in the river that flows through Thundars ride to catch some fish or mud crabs all the while being on the lookout for Bugbears and Goblins.
Any leftover meat or seafood would be buried deep in the ground so that the smell would not attract wild animals into the camp.

Re: Thundars Ride Logging
As the week would go by many transports of lumber would leave the camp headed towards the Northern Outpost. When the transport would return. It would mostly come back empty except for a few new tools here and there, though today it would arrive back stocked with rations and supplies for camp. At first glance it would seem a lot, but for the amount of hard working men and woman it would only last a few weeks.
The worker would stick to the busy routine, not for a moment letting up.
The Sentries would stand ever watchful, as they had done many times before during the devil war's out on the Boareskyr Bridge. Though Bugbears and goblin's seems a boring comparison to devils though a lot easier to manage.
********************************************************************************************************
At the dawn of the next morning a new development Would arise as some of the laborers would begin construction of a palisade wall around the camp.

Re: Thundars Ride Logging
With a week's worth of work behind there backs on the palisade the laborers are now working on a gate for the wall around the camp.
The laborers time is split between construction and logging which has slowed down the wood productions slowing the number of caravans of lumber leaving the camp.

The towering man in plate armor would look over the Palisade over the surrounding area before turning to a few of the soldiers.
"Keep your silver weapons close to you. Not to long ago I fought the Lycan's in the fields of the dead they might stray into Thundar's Ride and we must stay vigilant."
He would look over to the wagon slowly being loaded with lumber and would walk over towards one of the guards and had him a scroll. "See that this makes its way into the Matriarch's hands."
He would then continue to stand watch over the area for a time longer.
