At the shrine of Eldath, a lonely elf rests and remembers the things that happened.

She remembers the ugly wild elves with tattoed faces "They do not respect peace, only their agenda" she said to herself, though several animals were around within hearing range.

"How can druids and rangers disturb this peace to assault a harmless and surrendered person?"

She ponders.

"They must be evil."

"Never before and after I saw someone break this peace, it is sad when a dwarven warrior knows more of the peace of nature than a wild elf ranger and druid."

She remains at the shrine for a long time, and leaves before dawn.

Though known to frequent the Shrine to tend it and pray, Iolanna was seen leaving small offerings and healing supplies; it's unclear if this was in exchange for something.

A large band of elves with a cart in tow passed the Northern Tradeway on the way to the Forest of Wyrm. While they appeared intent to avoid notice and thus stuck to the rough countryside over the beaten path, a few might have still spotted them in passing. They appeared armed, with an air of grim obligation about them. One of elves appeared to bear the Order of Radiant Heart's uniform-cloak. Strangely, two humans would have followed little after them, guarding an empty cart.

Days later, they'd have crossed the tradeway once more - this time with a cart filled with bodies. While previously there wasn't much cheer, what little remained would have been completely lost.

Wild rumours circulate from Soubar, that a Great Emerald Dragon "As big as the fabled Raulothim!" had been seen to the north, along with three smaller dragons, and members of the Green Enclave. A strange arcane ritual had taken place, and a short time later, the huge beast had taken to the skies, vanishing into the distance.

Some of the Enclave remained, seen tending to the wildlife in the area, and gathering up corpses of vampiric wolves to be burned and buried.

Rumors abound of a large undead force moving into the Greypeaks
Image

Roars of a Red Dragon could be heard throughout the mountain range as it would fight with the fire giants until it came across the undead force.

It was rumors that the Dragon was slain by unconventional means as its skin disintegrated until there was nothing left but bone as the earth shook from the vile magic channeled into it.
Image

In it's place stood a Dracolich that was seemingly made in a matter of minutes. Shortly after it would take flight though its destination could not be discerned

Image

The force would continue up the mountain slaying the Balor that rested atop before descending the army disappearing as quickly as it rose.

A loud scream could be heard throughout soubar lending why to the new blood that had arisen. Vampires taking people in the night never to be seen again.

The scream would break up the small conversation amongst a gathering in Soubar and soon many would follow a blood trail down into Boarskyre Bridge.

With a few flick of the wrist Morgan would dispatch a few of the new bloods.

The trail would lead up to the fort across the bridge where old vampires loomed.

Morgan didn't seem intent on attacking them though the group with her was more then happy.

She lazily casted a few spells here and there until the vampires fled clearly discontent with the fact she had to fight them instead of speaking with them.

When Oth and Carah appeared on the bridge as the group returned back to Soubar, Morgans ire was raised resulting in her opening two portals to the lower planes.

Though Oth and Carah teleported off before things escalated further.

What and where was this key that was being talked about? But it was not a question that was answered that eve.

The "Northern Outpost" is bustling as usual with traders coming and going along with the builders clearing land and the workers creating pliable planks of wood from the logs from the lumber camp in "Thundars Ride". Today though a squad of soldiers is seen preparing to move out. The ten men or woman seem to be packing up for a long trip. Rumors have it that a campaign against the bugbears and goblins in "Thundars Ride"is under preparation and that "House Blackrose"is enlisting mercenaries and sells-words for the undertaking.

Mazkenzie and the armored figures of black rose are seen packing up some supplies and carting some of the resources dedicated to setting up at boarsky bridge. Once they got there some time is taken to get set up, Maze posting the soldiers on shifts. Setting up a few tents to rest and recover when off shift. Around a campfire of cold evenings cooking meals or general conversation. They seem to be aware of the comings and goings of persons thought they don't seem to interact unless addressed. Those on duty are seen entering Thundars Ride to remove them, before coming back at nightfall.

A party of four Northerners - three fair Ruathyr and one red Reghed - that embarked together from Baldurs Gate with a pony in tow arrived only three at Soubar, and without their beast of burden. They carried with them fresh troll hides, and after dividing gold among themselves at the market, went their own ways.

The Abandoned and fiend-infested temple just north of Winding Waters has a new semi-permanent resident as John William Clarke sets up a makeshift research camp and spends his days transcribing barely visible carvings and glowing runes, sketches statues and maps out the architectural layout, details the style and notes the other quirks of this vast underground complex. In the evenings he also leaves fresh food out front for the oversized Sahuagin, hoping to perhaps if not earn their trust, to at least keep them at bay with his offerings.

The dew still fresh on the grass early in the morning the force of Blackrose Soldiers were seen marching across the bridge to the Old northern watch fort. Several carts laden heavy with supplies and thick canvas tents were pulled by heavy draft horses. Upon arrival, a redhaired man in a wool overcoat was seen tearing down the northern watch banners as soon as they arrived. Soon after several of the Blackrose men began setting up camp one went to set the fire and begin cooking the men meals for the day. Not long after the camp was set up and the men had eaten a force of Ebon Blade Mercenaries arrived to help fortify the encampment.

At Sunset on the 30th of Eleint, the Commander Bueroza of the Zhentarim appeared in the Courtyards of Darkhold where twenty veterans of the Loyal Hammer company, whom he had earlier selected by hand, were assembled ready and waiting. No sooner had Bueroza arrived than his Tyranturan Warhorse, Xenubat, with its mane freshly stained red and decked in the traditional armor barding of a Thayan Knight was led from the stable to the Commander. He mounted the warhorse immediately. Wasting no time, Bueroza reared the M'au bred steed about to the head of the column of soldiers. Given the cry of command, the troop began their march to the rhythm of a war drum.

The black banners of the Zhentarim could be seen towering over Boareskyr the next morning. The soldiers of the Loyal Hammer had joined the warcamp. Commander Bueroza remained personally present in his tent, overseeing co-operative efforts of the Zhentarim veterans with the men-at-arms of House Blackrose and The Ebon Blade mercenary force in fortifying and securing the Bridge.

The training and preparing over the past months at the Blackrose Outpost on the Northern Tradeway had finally come to a end. Soldiers saddled up their mounts and prepared for the campaign that lay ahead. The men and women said farewell to their loved ones before setting out in the towards Thundar's Ride. They arrived at the Blackrose lumber camp in the late afternoon after a long days ride the rain dampening their spirits. The palisade gates opened for them and light cheer could be heard by the men on the ramparts despite the terrible weather; it had been some time since many of the soldiers had seen each other.

Image

Amos looked down from upon the ramparts with a sigh, though he maintained a smile. How many of these men and woman would he lead to their deaths? He never considered that they would do anything but their duty--he had served with them many times during the last year. They stood against devils, among other things. But this was Thundar's Ride, a land filled with disease and and danger around every corner. He shook the thought from his mind--for the moment--before heading down to speak with the soldiers.

The men ate a hearty dinner as night approached. Everyone knew what morning-light would bring: a headlong charge into Thundar's Ride, the campaign to secure the stretch of road from Baldur's Gate to Soubar, with resistance from the goblin and bugbear tribes. The men prayed to their gods in hopes of a blessing and that they would survive the long ordeal ahead.
