A warband of savage foreign shock troops have taken eagerly to the campaign in Thundar's Ride. Their black worg pelt banners and their blue round shields are easily spotted at the camp on Boareskyre where from they march out with the main body of soldiers on occasion, but mostly move at night.
Rumored to be contracted for the battles several weeks ago by House Blackrose, these Islanders and Northerners distinguish themselves from the more 'civilized' soldiers on the battlefield by their blue painted shields and bodies, their axes and furs, and their camaraderie - often shared in their native dialect at their own fire come the end of the day. It seems they dont like outsiders - or intruders.
Those who may have fought alongside them may find a highly effective team, familiar with one another's strengths and weaknesses. Perhaps concerning for a mainlander, these Northern wolves are a little too organized for mere 'barbarians'.

A short, hairy man wearing little but a fur kilt and a wooden mask has been seen observing the incursions. He might have been mistaken for one of the northern warband were he not keeping his distance and taking little part in the fighting. When seen, he soon retreats to his camp, a cavern at the top of the waterfall upstream of the river, but otherwise makes no effort to hide his presence.

There has not been a day gone by in recent months that the Outpost on the
"Northern Tradeway" has not been abuzz and bustling.
The construction of the Caravan stop and its walls in full motion under the direction of a Dwarven Architect.
In addition all the lumber from
"Thundars ride" see's its way here where it is broken down from log's into a workable ply.
Construction of heavy siege onager's have been seen by traveler's passing through.
New recruits join the ranks of the
"Blackrose Militia" and begin the heavy training regiment.
It is rumored that a group of riders rode in from the North bearing the Standard of the
"Blackrose."
Talk's that important figures of the family have come from
"Waterdeep" to view the state and development of the Outpost.

The names of
"Cynthia and Edmund Blackrose" are spoken around the camp.

Since the most recent offensive by the bugbears in the escalating hostilities at Thundar's Ride, Islander mercenaries of the
Fangs of the Black Worg have had an increased activity in the area - camping the hills and patrolling the trails. They have been scouting the land and surveying it, especially the rivers, to track for movement of enemy warbands.

Stigandr Ravenseye, Utghardt and Hunt Master, ranges the region - leaving bugbear stragglers slain at range or in melee, and no trace of his passing.

Grimhildr Ulvsdottir, under the colors of her own shield, makes good on her vows by the slaughter of bugbear warriors she encounters in Thundar's Ride.
The mercenary warband of the Black Worg continue giving the support of their skill and strength at arms to the campaign they were hired for - contributing to that larger war effort made by Blackrose and their allies.

Those who frequent Thundar's Ride would likely note the increased presence of a large white Winter Wolf. Though the wolf seems to not be interacting with anyone or anything as of yet, just watching and observing.

A trio composed of Wulfrik, Amos and Solang'e fight the bugbears again all across the hills, sparing no one and defeating and routing most of an invading force of bugbears abd goblins, though, too late to stop a dark deed done to the river, after that they are joined by the Dreadlord and Vigilator to dispatch the rest of the bugbears.

A fierce battle would take place within Thundars ride between the united forces of Bugbears and goblins against Blackrose forces and their allies.
Rumors begin to spread that the Bugbears have poisoned the river a contributing source for food and water to the Lumber camp and large garrison stationed within its Palisade walls. How this will affect the war effort within Thundar's ride is yet to be seen.

There was a skirmish at Boareskyr - a scouting party of bugbears and goblins cut down by the Black Worg mercenary Wulfrik and the freelancing adventurer Solang'e who was with him at the time of the attack. Anticipating an assault to follow Wulfrik sent for the Knight-Regent of Blackrose and the three of them pressed into the contested territory of Thundar's Ride.
A heated skirmish ensued with goblin and bugbear warbands.

The small party located crates full of poisons that had been dispensed into the river source by the goblin horde, poisoning the waters of Thundar's Ride.
Days later, Wulfrik walked the river banks. He was disturbed at what he found; dead deer at the undrinkable water, rotting fish, and corrupt stench of decay permeating from the once crystal bends. The barbarian ascended a rocky crag, and from it bellowed a challenge - the booming voice of the Ruathen berserker echoed throughout the wild land with a skaldic lilt;
"Where now are the druids, who came at first with ire! Are you only craven, doomed to watch like quiet owls while the warriors rattle the blood-reeds of battle; as my armor-ogre lays high sided, and cleaves the moons of ship's prows? Come, so-called guardians of nature; delay not to bind the wounded waters and heal the harm - if indeed you are good for anything at all!"

Today wagons would arrive at the Outpost guarding the lumber camp in Thundars Ride. Rumors have it that the cargo is none other then poison antidotes to treat those poisoned by the river water.

The Blackrose Camp is shut up tight due to more then half the stationed force falling ill, the cleric and healers working overtime to take care of the sick.

Reports would come it that the Bugbears were unaffected by the poisoned water due to dumping it downstream from there main stronghold.

Cinnamon, Thok and an obtuse Magus wearing Purple, were seen petrifying Bugbears across Thundar's Ride.
They spent several hours hunting them down, petrifying them, having a Bugbear even carry two of the Statues, the Bugbear in question seemed to quite enjoy carrying his Kin around the Thundar Road, and exhibited little in the ways of fear, except when an encounter took place, he seemed rather scared of the Men later mentioned.
Upon such a day, they had a chance encounter with two Men, after a small passing in talks, they parted ways.
They hunted tirelessly for their final Sixth of Five collected, yet to no avail. The Magus wore out, and departed, his time and service paid for.
Many find themselves curious to Cinnamon's motives, as a known Bugbear Lover, so she has claimed broadly, to what intent would she capture and encase Bugbears in Stone?

Over the past two days oak trees has been specifically selected and felled by the Blackrose laborers only taking the oldest of the trees. They would cut down enough to fill two wagons full and then cease the cutting of oak's returning to the preselection of pine.
The logs would then be loaded and prepped for transport
