Rumours of Sshamath

A large group of Dev'lin forces was seen returning from battle. They arrived in Varallas by teleport, being ushered in to a local cavern to tend to their wounded.

The witnesses to such would note not a single one of them was devoid of wounds, but they were all alive. Many of the soldiers were dotted and riddled with arrows, bolts, darts, and spell impacts- whatever happened it was apparently a vicious fight.

The only news gotten out of the Dev'lin at the time is the battle resulted in a draw, as they had 0 deaths and their ranks were not diminished yet they will be spending some time repairing equipment and re-outfitting before striking out again.

*Brokk witnesses their return, and watches, puffing on his pipe in the goaming hallways.*

Daug stands beside Brokk. His beady eyes narrow as he watches the Devlin forces return to recover from the battle.

Rlyd smirks at one of the soldiers and speaks "declaring war on the surface and returning to city in which you declared war on a few cycles past." he then continues "strange times we live in, indeed strange times." He then takes the portal down to the city itself ignoring the others gathered around.

Hear all of SShamath.

To the citizens of Shamath, The crimson skulls that were in procession of dev'lin house are now within our city, safe and sound. The school of enchantment would like to thank all those involved in their recovery.

It took may cycles of persuasion and manipulations of the mind for this to come to pass, and the school of enchantment hopes that those in possession appreciate the efforts of our school in the transfer of said artifacts.

As always the School of enchantment and charm supports and defends the Conclave. The recovery took the work of various schools of magic working together in unison for the greater good of our beloved city.

Though this plot was hatch from the very beginning by the schools of magic, it shows though we may not all agree, we are willing to work together as is the tradition of our most noble people when matters of danger threaten our beloved city.

May our Conclave forever lead us, and let us embrace the wisdom of our leaders.

Amongst the busy streets of Sshamath, Vierna Hun'viir (identified by her blue eyes) can be seen heading toward the School of Elemental Magic. There, she officially registers herself as a wizard of the school.

*Upon hearing Rlyds confirmation, Jys'Ssysynstra simply laughs and speaks to those around her.*

"I wasn't aware that Quel'lar Dev'lin was a school of the conclave or magic? Perhaps Rlyd is terrible at politics, too. Well let's see if this bounty goes away, I'm tired of would-be challengers and the weak trying to collect. And now the Conclave owes me a huge favor, though as usual Rlyds information is weeks late!"

*Laughs as she turns away, heading back out of the city.*

Wirg of Bregan D'aerthe casually reads over Rlyd's updated bounty poster. "Dat weird... Him make it sound like him did aneething. The informayshun iz all wrung, it took ME abut twu cycles to get Jys'Ssysnstra tu turn ovur da skulls to us. Me also told Rlyd abut diz a few weekz agu rite after the bounty postur went up. Guess him want praize for doing nothin'."

Following the bloodbath in Varallas in a battle fought between Dev'lin and Charnag Maelthra, resulting in a Dev'lin loss- the word spreads quickly. To prepare for the potential consequences the Dev'lin compound would be seen being busy, fortifying their position with everything they have. As they have time to prepare they would make sure that if a battle is to be fought- they will do their best to make sure every inch taken is taken with a plethora of blood. Every vicious trick up their sleeve is prepared as the compound door is smeared with blood and wards and doesn't open or close, except the occasional small number moving to keep eyes outside the house.

It is apparent that whatever was going on between the Conclave and Dev'lin, it's hit the fan as some of Dev'lin's best awaits the fate that is coming for them.

Ilharess Lomith was seen enterring the school of mages with a sarg'tlin escort. After very little time, she left the school. Anyone watching could see that she was seemingly happy. Another was seen leaving the school with her, the one the Dev'lins had captured. The trio were seen leaving the city soon after.

Rumours flow around Sshamath of a falling out between House Zau'afin and the Conclave. There are rumours that Lolth bore witness to the execution of the Dev'lin attackers, and the spiders that were burned with them since her cruel laughter could be heard off in the distance at the end. The names Malaggar, Sengo, Urlryn, and Felyndiira flow around the city as the ones responsible for incurring the wrath of Lolth and alienating trade partners and allies alike.

The magical posters around the city...slowly lose ink and picture fades removing any mention of Jys Fearn of House Dev'lin within the city. The posters deteriorate and fall to the ground.
