Rumors began circulating that there was an arrival at Castle Thorne this evening meeting the description of one of the original five of house Blackrose. Word had also spread that not a few hours after the new arrival, a handful of individuals came and just as quickly left the grounds of Fort Prominence with what can only be described as a sense of urgency. Anything outside of this is largely unknown, aside from the fact that a singular light, in a singular window is and has remained lit. "Who is burning the midnight oil...? and Why...?

In the moments before dawn, a strange light gleamed from the ancient Druid's Circle, and faint chanting in an unknown language. Perhaps this is something to do with the fast approaching Spring Equinox.

A hooded rider was spotted along the trade way in the distance avoiding contact with people as they continued on. They were seen disappearing in the distance as the darkness of the night sky loomed overhead.

On the night of the Spring Equinox, a cowled traveler carrying a blue-velvet-wrapped box was seen departing Soubar late in the evening astride a pinto horse, crossing the Boareskyr Bridge and making her way into the hills of the High Moor.

Rumors speak that the current Dreadlady of the Zhentarim, Evania Numah, fell in battle and is dead. There are many half truths and rumors about what really happened, but one thing is for sure, she has not returned after a resurrection was attempted at the Black Abbey.
A funeral procession is held at the temple of Darkhold.

Rumors begin to spread from the north that after a period of much turmoil and instability, Lord Selengil Harkonis appears to have taken up the reins of Rulership
within Darkhold.
He is said to have been displeased at the current state of affairs and vowed to return things to working order.
Ever the pragmatic one he seemed to take up the position with little to no fanfare or celebration, seemingly desiring to begin work in earnest.

An old man wearing a fancy suit and holding a plain black umbrella visits the resting place of Lady Evania Numah in Darkhold. He leaves the umbrella at the site of her burial.

Shortly after the most recent attack on Boreskyer Bridge, a redhaired man would be seen looking over all the wounded men shedding a tear, before going outside to the field helping to dig graves for the fallen. Dragging undead corpses into piles to be burned.
His eye's looking weary and tired motioning over all the men still standing,
"That's it we fall back to Soubar, pack everything up. I want a watchtower built at the end of the bridge should any trouble stir across it send back to town and get to safety, I will send for lumber to be brought to Soubar from our mill we need some kind of gate built should they attack again. Chins up boy's this wont last for ever."
Some hour's later they would return with horses and wagons for the supplies and wounded.

A Message is left on the billboard:
Call to arms:
As you probably all know, the Yuanti are working with The Prince of the Undead. There have been several attacks on the Boerskyr bridge. Balors and many undead have been a pain and have cost the life of many of troops devoted to defend the area.
We cannot continue to only wait for them to attack. We have to join forces and strike them before they raise another army. They will not stop At Soubar, they are a threat to all of the region.
Time is for the offensive. We will accept any that will fight against this common enemy. Join us at Fort Prominence and we will defeat this threat together.
Blake Hightower, Knight of House Blackrose.

The rabble-rouser of an old orcblood adventurer, Rhaeg, sports a number of cranial stitches as he keeps a vigilant watch over the Boareskyr Bridge from a hilltop half a mile back. Apparently he's prepared to be set up here for quite a while, as abyssal fire and walking dead lay waste to the lands just over the Winding Water.

Nondescript muttering like the deep intonation of a chant whispers on the wind around the outskirts of Fort Prominence. The sound is steady, constant, and to anyone willing to listen for more than a few moments, sinister. The same low and steady repetitious droning continues for hours on end. It's almost as if something is calling out... beckoning to something else... that is unwilling or unready to answer.
Among the constant humming and the otherwise unremarkable landscape that surrounds Castle Thorn in the pitch black of night, shines a singular candle in a singular window. The tolling of the mysterious noise rises and falls and with it the flame that is lit. It sways and flickers, the 'music' somehow giving it a life of it's own until sometime in the early morning hours. Until suddenly, the noise stops and the flame goes out.

A missive is hand-carried to the garrison in Soubar by a tall man with magnificently groomed blonde-haired - The sealed missive is addressed to "Blake Hightower, Knight of House Blackrose".
Sir Blackrose,
An agent of Orcus came to Boerskyr’s Bridge, full of hubris and calmly smoking a cigar, and gave us – the guardians of the bridge, a chance to ask one question. Seeking to understand our adversary’s greatest vulnerability, the Fiend explained “the Broodmothers need to die. They are the ones who struck a deal… The only way we get up here is if a bargain is made. You kill the bargain-maker, the soul in question goes poof… and the bargain is finished.” The fiend admonished us for not asking the right question and yet suggested we may figure it out. He also seemed to take pleasure in knowing additional information, here he refers to “the why” he withheld for an unnamed price.
Signed - One of four.

More rumours flooded from the north all the way to the Gate and further south of battles going through hours on end in the north, with guards, adventurers and others being so exhausted that they had to rotate with one another to try and catch their breath and get some food or water between the ongoing clashes.
Talk even went as far to say the fighting was even more vicious the day before, trolls, orcs, demons, undead and the Yuan-ti striking at the beleaguered defenders with portals from behind, trying to trap them constantly, those too exhausted fell whilst others tried to pull those who could not walk back to the relative safety of Soubar.
Whatever rumours and talk are true, all that is know is that the North is constantly under attack, and talks of bringing the war to the enemy are far from any plan as of yet.
