After a long, mead-filled night, Fentin Berlance -- Corporal of the Guard of the Flaming Fist -- spent the early hours trying to convince anyone who would listen that the Gastan brothers and that scarecrow of a friend of theirs were responsible for the disappearance of the Lady Ambassador Selah Shartress.

"Don't ye see it all makes sense now." He told some poor weary patron of the Elfsong, before nearly spilling his own mead into his lap. "Now that them murdering bastards 'ave shown their true colors, an' the MVTC or was it the MVCT, eh?" He sat there for a long moment lost in thought before continued on. "No matter, now that one merchant enterprise is floundering. Makes sense another rise up to takes it's place, an' with the Lady Lass a' missing, them lads 'ave the monopoly o' the markets in Nashkel wouldn't ye think?"

Rising to his full height, Fentin strode around the taproom like a scholar from Candlekeep giving a full lecture in one of the great chamber halls. "I was there." He bellowed so his voice could be heard over the dim and chatter of the other patrons. "The Lady she arsked of me to stand watch she did. Secret meeting, discussed in hush tones so none could 'ear, an' now the ambassador has gone ah missing, eh? Wouldn't surprise me if that cabal of cutthroats they 'ave forming twas a front for Zhentarim activities, no sir." He finished shaking his head to no one in particular.

After being seen at the Friendly Arm Inn, the man with the masked tattoo and a scarred man with an eyepatch are seen at Candlekeep asking about Selah Shartess. A day later, the two men are seen in Beregost traveling from the Burning Wizard to Feldepost Inn and every other establishment asking about the Ambassador. A short while later, the men are seen in Nashkel. Every place they visit they ask about her, always leaving the name "Delphinn Veil" for any that have information about her. Finally, the tattooed man is heard speaking to a amnish guard asking for a meeting the mayor of Nashkel.

Theres talk of an odd and crude looking, pair of dwarves asking about in the Gate for the best tavern and any sightings of ore deposits of significant value. The one whom appears to be the talkative of the two is an elderly looking dwarf with a grey beard and battle hardened face. The other wields a large and grim looking axe, he hardly ever says a word and seems extremely grumpy.
Last they were seen heading north, drunk to the boot and loaded with mining equiptment.

Rumour has it that "Tabot's" trademark turban was found washed up on the shore at the Lighthouse near Beregost. It was inundated with blood and smelt suspiciously like brimstone.

Rumours spreads about a cold blooded murder which happened just outside of the Friendly Arms Inn. The body was found still warm, every bone crushed to pieces. His dead eyes full open, filled with fear. Rumours told that this man was still alive when somebody cutted his troat wide open. The murderer hadnt even enough mercy to give his targer fast death... The victim of this cold act died when his lungs filled with his own blood. The guards of the Friendly Arms Inn found a letter under mans a holy symbol of Torm. The runner were sent towards the Baldur's Gate with that letter.

Rumor has it that a rather dashing man in Tormite full plate and a navy blue cloak rode into the Friendly Arm Inn on a dark brown horse. The horse was laden with enough provisions to travel a long distance, though much of it seems to have been used up. The man has not been seen since his arrival to the Inn.

A man in armor and a Weavemaster's cloak is seen riding after the Tormite. He has a dour expression on his face, and is not seen for a little while either.

An elf is seen wandering far and wide through the land, dressed in what appears to be polished leather or even scale mail, where the scales or leather are carved into the shape of down turned oak leaves. Someone who knows would recognize it as the ceremonial armor of Druids of Silvanus. However, his cloak and his armor are blue in color, and not green or brown.

As he travels, from Amn to Baldur's Gate he is seen posting flyers for the Church of Silvanus that read:

The Church of Silvanus

It is time my brothers and sisters
that we create a unity in the Church
as a forest grows together
so should we bring ourselves together
to maintain the Balance that our Lord,
The everlasting Oak Father
has given to our care

I'm personally extending an invitation to all
Druids, Rangers and Clerics who revere Nature
and recognize Silvanus as the Oak Father
to come to me and let us build his Church in the Sword Coast

Signed
A Servant of Silvanus
Faerynn Ara'dhel of the Keepers

///contact "Faerynn" on the forums or in game if you wish to join. All druids of Silvanus should be a part of his church. I have also posted an entry in the Guilds section of the forums that explain further ///

Around the tradeway a sign is posted Reading "REMEMBER ERIC LIGHTBRINGER... FOLLOW THE LIGHT!"

The sign is quickly taken down, and used for kindling, since it refers to a dead traitor, not to mention a necromancer.

Rumours speak of four people dragging a gnome in chains through Baldur's Gate, delivering him in the Fists Headquarters in the Palace district. Some say they overheard a conversation between two people in the Helm and Cloak inn, stating that the gnome was a powerful necromancer of some kind.

A little girl clad in orchid coloured clothes holding an extravagant looking lute, has been sighted in the Friendly Arm Inn south of Baldur’s Gate. One patron in the inn exclaimed in a shocked tone “Tamara? this far from the Gate? The Nine Hells might just freeze over today!”.

Every night, just before darknesscreeps over the inn and everyone is about to go to bed she can be found facing north near a window, singing a soft little song to seemingly none but herself.
~ Worry not, my dearest friend ~
~ I’ll just let the inn my music lend ~
~ but now that you inquire to my fate ~
~ in my heart, my home is still the Gate ~

Rumors speak of an altercation upstairs at the Friendly Arm Inn. Patrons speak of hearing the sound of a door being bashed in. Shortly thereafter, the woman known as "The Beast" was seen carrying a struggling man that regular patrons know as "Captain Kalma". The Jester/Minstrel Alison the Harlequin, a frequent entertainer at the Friendly Arm, was seen helping The Beast get Captain Kalma out of the Inn. Both the Beast and the Harlequin explained that they needed to get the bound and gagged man to Beregost in order to lock him up "To protect himself and others".

The disturbance ended when Barmaid Nessie slung the captive over her shoulder, carried him outside the Inn and threw him onto the trade way, one-handed. After a moment of stunned silence at the Barmaid's impressive strength, the pair carried the still struggling Kalma toward Beregost, followed by a human female warrior and a dwarven Flaming Fist Officer.

Shortly before "Captain Kalma" was taken away by the Beast, he was seen talking with an attractive woman clad in purple robes on a bench outside the Friendly Arm Inn. He gave her a ring of some kind, and they were seen smiling at one another.

The same purple clad woman was later seen following Sir Jonas and Co. as they carried "Captian Kalma", bound and gagged, to the Flaming Fist prison in Baldur's Gate.

Rumors spread of a hastily-arranged lynching of an accused necromancer near the campfire outside the Friendly Arms Inn by members of the Fist First Company. The Fist seemed quite eager to discourage onlookers from loitering near the scene.

// edit and OOC: Not meant to be a knock on the Fist First. This is just the perception of some who happened along the scene.
