Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

Veslana Raven, Knight Errant of the Order of the Silver Rose, was on patrol. While on patrol she helped a person clearing the undead from the farmlands just outside the city gates. She gave him blessings of protection and strength, gold, and a number of items to assist him in his battles, or to be sold later for gold. He was grateful.

Well done Knight Raven. Such assistance displays an excellent example of charity.

A hooded ranger hastily approaches the Order of the Silver Rose keep. As he gets closer to the guards, he lowers his hood and bows his head to them. After greeting them he reaches for a sealed letter from his pack and hands it t the guards.

"This letter is for your Commander and is sent by En Dharasha Everae. I will wait here if you want to send back a reply"

*Lady Elvina comes out to greet the respectful hooded ranger, after being notified by the guard. She then writes and sends a reply back with him.*

*Lady Elvina writes sealed private letters, in flowing script, to several individuals and sends them out immediately sealed with the insignia of the Order of the Silver Rose, a shield with crossed swords and a silver rose overlay*

Edmund smiled at the woman behind the gates to the keep of the Order of the Silver Rose.

Thank ya Lady. Bounty of the Earthmother to ya.

As the woman made her way back inside, Ed began to stroll the grounds around the outside of the keep walls. He carefully took his time inspecting every tree and flower bed. His gaze travelled across the lawn, lingering in places, then moving on. His dog Elmer trotted along at heel for a time before settling down beside the wall for a nap.

Rummaging in his pack Edmund pulled out the small metal head of a rake. Attaching it to the end of his walking stick he walked over to the corner of the grounds and set himself to work.

For the next several hours travelers on the Tradeway would see a somewhat stout man in a sun hat methodically raking the grass before the keep, leaving not a single fallen leaf to mar the lawn. He paused often with a small pair of simple shears to clip away at any overgrown areas of grass or the bushes along the way, carefully raking the droppings into his pile. He then moved the clippings to create a small compost pile behind the keep, sprinkling a handful of worms from a damp burlap ball of soil in his pack over the mass of clippings and grass.

When his tending of the lawns, trees and shrubs were complete he produced a hanky from his pack and set himself to polishing the bars of the gate, giving extra focus to the place where a close inspection might have found some tiny gnome sized hand prints. He continued his work until every bit of the metal was polished to a fine state.

Some hours later he and his dog departed the keep heading south. Mopping a bit of sweat from his brow with his faded sun hat there was a well satisfied smile on his round, red face.

Congratulations to our new Gardener and Groundskeeper, Edmund Tellerin !!

*Lady Elvina leaves a note for the new Gardener and Groundskeeper, Edmund, asking him kindly to update the mini nature shrine on the grounds to include a banner of Chauntea.*

*After reading the letter a few times to ensure that he was understanding it correctly, Edmund happily hurries off to gather the necessary supplies*

*Vendor Xon leaves a sealed letter at the chapter house of the Order of the Silver Rose. It is adressed to the Knight Comander and the Knight General of the order.*

To the Council,

Dawn’s warmth and glad greetings; I hope that each of you have been well since I last crossed paths with you.

I write to you today to bring attention to the Ceremony of Devotion that the Song of the Morning is going to host on the ‘morrow. With it we hope to bring the attention of the Most Holy Lathander to the Coast and to the difficult times we must trudge through regarding the wars on all fronts.

I would like to ask each of you who are not already busy to join us in Beregost and bring an offering to give to our Lord. One of our own has seen a vision from the Morninglord himself and we believe that with enough consideration and sacrifice, we may gain the upper hand in the war with the undead.

Hidden: show

A quiet reminder is given to the Coast that those who wish to show their devotion or respect for Lathander should do so at the Song of the Morning in Beregost on the morrow.

A note is also pinned on the bottom of the flyers asking those who attend the devotion to be on their best behavior as lawlessness, rudeness, violence or anything else to cast a cloud of negativity on the ceremony will not be tolerated.
