Well, Gray Orcs and Half-Orcs are not forbidden to play Bards—I've played one myself. Oh, Moala...what a tease she was!!!

So yeah, have both an Orc Bard and a OWD in your Party. Not a bad beginning to a Horde....

orc str bard is a good build. the weakness of an orc (i know there is not much, but anyway) are made up for in heaps by the bonuses of the bard class. and the strengths of the race make the str bard even better with the only penalty being the daylight adaptation feat.

its an awkward combo to rp though. you would have to try and make it work without looking like a power gamer stretching the RP out real thin.

im not talking about you FvSs out there. don't get your divine panties in a bunch

luckily bards aren't overly feat dependent. As to the rp, there's nothing to say you have to rp an orc bard as a dandy, could rp the same as an orc war drummer. Bard26/WD4 for evasion or Bard 26/BG4 for EDM and aura to synergy with the OWD in the party. I would say either is within reason and mixed with the Cleric/ Hierophant/ OWD I posted earlier would give a solid melee and caster duo.

Can a fighter/frenzied berserker rp the same as a barbarian? Seems about the same to me.

Is it a later edition that specifies that a common tavern minstrel, for instance, is not the same as a PC bard, as playing an instrument is not the same as discerning the unique magic of music?

I'd say the same applies for the drummer in an orc horde- the rhythm of his drumbeats inspires his comrades through mundane means rather than magical, even if the drum is totally made of elf-skin and dwarf-bones.

You also cannot make a Dread Pirate/Howling War Drummer. This is not the first topic this PRC has been discussed on.

The OP has the "official" description by the developer, and as well, the "cannot multi-class with Bard" limitation isn't on the Wiki, either.

Thanks Val. I know that I could have made that change myself, but because the OWD has a giant disclaimer at the top that it was still in development, it would seem best that those who actually can see the changes or know what the changes will be—in future updates—keep those pages up-to-date.

Does this mean you can get OWD and Dread Pirate levels together now? Will their abilities stack?

To the best of my knowledge there is no rule against taking Dread Pirate levels, but the OWD and Dread Pirate abilities do not stack. Valefort could answer for certain.

While you can take dread pirate the inspirations do not stack. They are from what I understand built of the same data

The Dread Pirate description on the new wiki lists that it doesn't. I guess +5 Damage for the class combination might be a bit too much, however, perhaps the class combination could use the higher of the two damage sources? Thus a Dread Pirate 10/Orc Drummer 5 would get +3 Damage and AB.

And we are at the coast... So... More pirates I suppose. Orcish sea horde? Based out of Roaringshore? You know, RP opportunities... right there. It would be easier to raid and pillage ships in some DM event than a village or something.

Edit: And basically get involved as a group of raiders that can be hired...

Edit II: Because lets face it... the history of orc-rp on this server can be summed up as: 'Us' against everyone else, and 'us' lost.
