*roxy is frequently seen asking if any messages have been left for her there and just as often seen leaving shaking her head a annoyance at the fruition to her quest to join the fist never seems to come*

They cannot even send me a decline or a answer....*she grumbles to herself as yet again there is no message*

OOC- I finally figured it would be more appropriate to put this here, I think
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A woman identifying herself as Kadri Saar recently made a report of an assault on her along the Trade way by a hafling mercenary, or assassin, who called himself Seril Thickfoot. She had showed one of the guards the exact location of the conflict. She stated she was stabbed once, and managed to get away with an invisibilty spell. The motive, she says, was her refusal of his services.

Later, Kadri returned, handing a letter to the guard, claiming it to be a death threat from who she believes, and insists, is the same offender.

The letter contains a broken burgundy wax emblem depicting two crossed blades and a large "S."

The penmenship is ragged and barely legible. It reads:

"You stupid harlot. I look forward to seeing you bleed on my blades. Informing the Fist was a terrible mistake. Unfortunately for you, I have an alibi and the favor of Lady Luck. Watch the shadows, tramp; I'd hate to kill you without first drinking in your fear.

S."

(There are some drops of what appears to be blood just under the signature)

She insists that it is no coincidence that the seal and signature 'S' is the same character as the first one in Seril's name, assuming it isn't actually spelled 'Ceril'.

Two letters are delivered to the Flaming Fist headquarters. One of them is addressed to Captain Justin Crownsilver, and the other is addressed to Lieutenant Myhun Kren. Neither letter bears an official seal or signet, but they are signed. The handwriting is very neat and formal.

Apart from who they are individually addressed to, both letters (essentially) read the same:

Hello, old friend. I hope that you are doing well. I know how difficult it can be to keep order in this lawless land, and I applaud you on all of your efforts so far.

I am pleased to write that this letter is neither a complaint nor a warning; rather, I write to commend two of your officers: a Trooper Sharp and a new recruit who introduced himself to me as Jerrick.

Today I learned, to my surprise, that I am still remembered as an outlaw by the Flaming Fist. This does me no insult -- it has been only two years, and I was banished from your fair city for five. But I was caught off guard by the fact that, after naming myself before the guards at your checkpoint over the River Chionthar, I was remembered at all.

Fortunately, I had no business in Baldur's Gate, and only sought passage across the bridge and further north with a friend of mine, whom you may know as Arivain; a man who has been formally decorated by Duke Eltan. Nevertheless, your guards thought it prudent that I be escorted to the so-called Fields of the Dead, so as to ensure that I did not try to sneak into the city.

I just wanted to write to say that I was pleased with the courtesy and politeness with which I was treated by your men during this escort, and I hope that you will remember their names during your annual review.

Other than that, I do hope that you are well, and encourage you to keep in touch. As always, I can be reached at Candlekeep, should you require anything of me.

Most sincerely,
Valerius of Candlekeep

Justin Crownsilver's letter contains an additional line or two about "how long it's been;" about "I heard about the incident from Myhun;" and about how "we will have to catch up on things sometime; it really has been too long."

Myhun Kren's letter contains an additional line or two informing him that Valerius has heard about Selah's condition, and is doing everything in his power to see to it that those working for her at the Church of Ilmater have access to Candlekeep's writings on the subject of divine curses.

Letter addressed to Suvania reaches the Flaming Fist head quartors.

To my dearest Suvania.

It has been many moons since we last saw each other. I often wonder if my constant drinking, and visits to the local brothals had any thing to do with your vanishing. For now I seek help to quit my addiction to burly dwarven women, it is truly a exhausting test of my will. With business being slow for me I'm making progress.

Few sun rises ago I saw that man who's name escapes me, who tried to come between us. He was as basturdly looking as ever. Striding down the trade way like he owned the road, I wanted to hurt him so bad. I would of completely killed him with one punch, you know I can. Then I realized he is probably incapable of knowing what true love is like. With his long pony tail and clean cut look.

*paper has a hole in it like some one took a stab at it with a quill multiple times.*

They already tell me lies about you being in Cult. I looked it up on a map, some place in the jungle. Fist must think I'm stupid to go trekking through a jungle, we both know they got you locked away inside their head quarters.

Stay strong, and lots of love your number one Fan.

No return address is given.

Flaming Fist soldiers may or may not have been surprised by their Commander Crownsilver giving a beautiful maiden a late-night tour of their fortress after the Williams-Seline wedding ceremony. Some noted that she clung to him as they passed through various areas of the Keep.

They left the Keep to walk in the city. About two hours later the smiling Captain returned alone with what appeared to be a lip print on his cheek.

There may or may not be discussions amongst the soldiers as to who is this woman. But those who provided guard support during the recent Masquarade show at the White Mask theater theorized she is the foriegn girl who performed the bawdy axe-dance song.

A letter is addressed to the office of the Flaming Fist:

To the lead investigator of the White Mask Theater arson case:

I am a private investigator who has taken up the White Mask Theater arson case as a matter of public interest. I believe that our goals run parallel with each other. I would like to meet with the Fist to discuss the possibility of cooperation on this matter.
Please leave a sealed message with Lady Alyth of the Elfsong Tavern. Please include in the message a meeting place and time of your convenience, and address the message to "C, of N."
I hope to speak with you soon.
Best,

-C

Geriard can be seen attending various burials around the city speaking at length to families or simply being there helping with arranges moving and various things. He tells stories of their loved one's last moments if they wish to hear it, or says nothing if not prompted. There is no announcement very little introductions, he shows he does what needs to be done, doesn't overstay his welcome and then departs. His usual black band has with the fist insignia has a black line through it and his usual jovial manner is grim.

A hastily scrawled letter is left at Flaming Fist headquarters:

This past night a swarm of insectoid monsters infested the mines in the Cloakwoods. They numbered in the thousands, and included umber hulks, bone spiders, fire beetles, stag beetles, queen spiders, and others. My companions and I ventured down to try to slay the Queen of this swarm. We failed. The Queen gloated that we would never be able to find her.
There was a rescue party that later descended into the mines. This party included two Ironfaar dwarves and about a dozen other warriors and mages. Even with all of this might, the Queen stopped us cold with powerful magics. Walls of fire and acid, petrifaction spells, and collapsing tunnels confounded our efforts to reach the Queen. At this point, I began to believe that the Queen was right; we would not be able to find her. With the mines collapsing all around us, we barely escaped with our lives. Indeed, some of us fell to the Queen's forces in those tunnels.
I am writing to let you know about this threat in the mines. I do not know if the Queen died in the mine's collapse, but I seriously doubt it. The surrounding villages are in danger as long as she lives.
Please take appropriate action. Let me know how I can help.
