Usstan think usstan found dost flute. Normally usstan can be found in the library of the school of wizzards or in the city running errands for the jabbukul.

Rumours spread through the streets like wildfire, though the voices are mostly subdued.
A fight apparently spilled out of the Gloura's Wings and into the streets near the market. The toll is unknown, though no lasting harm was done. The School of Necromancy intervened, for reasons unknown, and expelled one of the combatants from the city.
Shortly thereafter, one of the bodies was "appropriated" by the School of Necromancy.
Naturally, facts are hard to come by, but that hardly stops the enterprising populace of the city from speculating.

Rumors spread wild around Sshamath and are quickly confirmed.
TRADE HAS CEASED!
Temporarily all merchant caravans have stopped travelling the famous routes in fear of being raided by Alien like bi-pedal creatures. The attackers have claimed numerous caravans normally there are no survivors and the transports are destroyed. Most items are not taken or stolen by these raiders, it is said by some who witnessed the ordeal and hid amongest the dead, that these creatures are seeking something specific in nature and very little of the merchantile wares are taken.
They attack from nowhere, silent and instantly. The raids seem to happen as a flash of light bursts and the beings rush from it destroying the defenses of the caravans mercenary forces, they leave through the same means... too vanish without trace in the tunnels of the deep.
The conclave has mobilized forces to investigate the threat and reassure the routes are safe from attack by these insidious creatures. The Charnag special forces in league with the City garrison are conducting investigations to locate the creatures and gather intelligence to predict their next attack. A spellsword affiliated with the school of necromancy was able to slay a few creatures during the aftermath of a raid, he and a group of simaritans vanquished a few and have brought the corpses in for inspection.
The city is on edge and on high alert, Strict curfews are being enforced and patrols and garrisons are doubled until the threats cease.

(Sorry my internet was down for two days)
The Cunning agents of the charnag waste no time in rounding up the suspects of the Que'llars and a few ofthe local sources. Word has it that a warrior faern from the school of necromancy was attacked by an illithid assassin and his entourage of duegar thralls near the Spider queen's very altar a few cycles back.
More raids have been reported in the empty trade tunnels of the infamous drow merchant passages. Although not against merchantile caravans but against the city's reserve garrisons that were doubled to secure the tunnels. Casualties have been reported as well as several missing in action and thought to be held prisoner by these insipid beings.
The faern's are scrambling for ways to stop the transport system that these creatures seem to use at will to attack and vanish through. Few have suggested ways to extend the mythal surrounding the great city's limits or to develop devices that could prevent or anchor the creatures who step through the warp. A call goes out to all who practice the arcane arts within the city to develop such a device or method to deny the enemy use of these warping abilities.
A workable and proven solution could be extremely lucrative to any inventive faern looking to improve their socio-economic status within the City and even the School of Magic itself....

Rumours of fearns getting together and dwarves coming together to build a device to channel energy straight from the weave to power the mass spell needed to protect the city and trap the raiders. Word is one is needed to stay in the middle of the device to give his own life force to channel this massive energy. Crystals are being placed around the city and tunnels to channel this power. quickly they work on this , so it is rumoured.

Rumors of Ancient Ruins
Amongst the local populace rumors spread that an Illithid excavation has unearthed ancient ruins to the far west. Word spreads that the Conclave is in talks with the Illithids over possible cooperative expeditions into the ruins in search of artifacts.
While there is no evidence to support any of these claims the Illithid have stated that their operations are for nothing more than ore, and have made it quite clear that they will not tolerate anyone trespassing in their mines or interfering with their operations.
Still, stories have surfaced that through these supposed ruins one can reach the surface of Faerun, and many unknown kivvil have been wandering the markets as of late, from where it is not known. Those that have claimed to have seen the ruins first hand say that within there lies heat that feels as if you had been plunged into the plane of fire, and at the same time they claim there are waters there colder than ice where creatures and ghosts of shadow roam. Many of these same story tellers also seem quite mad. That and the stories they tell leads many to believe them to be nothing more than nightmares of the insane.

Recently the patrols in and around Sshamath have been fighting skirmishes with Undead, Duergar, and Illithids. They are rumoured to have "allies" of other creatures as well. Several groups of citizens have helped the patrols fight and investigate these incursions.
