If we are taking a vote I'm in for opening up ranger deity selection! However, it should probably go in the selection forum...
From what i remember from another thread where the same issue was raised, there is no intention to open up rangers for other deities.
That was one of the reasons the hunter class was implemented - to allow ranger-type characters with any deity
