For the past five days the Song of the Morning temple have seen a lot of traffic. As has the Rising Phoenix Inn. Packages and boxes have been moved back and forth a few times each day, usually by the hands of the Morninglord Tolan. Rumors have begun to circulate through the small town that the Morninglord is leaving for Waterdeep, his home.

Early in the day, an apprehensive and timid Morninglord Tolan is seen leaving the Rising Phoenix Inn and heading for the northern gates of town. With him he carries rather large backpack and a satchel. As he approach the guard stationed by the gate, he informs him that he will be travelling for the some time, and ask that the guards keep up their good work of maintaining the peace.

The last anyone from Beregost sees of the Morninglord Tolan is when he makes for the road to the coast south of Candlekeep, no doubt to take a ship north to Baldur's Gate.

With startlingly fast distribution, parchment flyers begin to circulate in the largely populated areas of the Sword Coast. Over the following tenday from Baldur's Gate to Nashkel, they begin to crop up on notice boards, trees, anywhere it might be seen publicly. Couriers are seen knocking on doors of various factions and Orders, rolls of parchment in hand. As the days pass smaller towns, roads and sign posts bare the same news.

A figure moves slowly through the streets of Beregost, each stride measured, but stiff. To the few who recognize the figure and offer their greetings, there is no reply or acknowledgement of their presence as the figure beelines for the Song of the Morning Temple.

It isn't long before rumor start to spread of the return of a well-known Morninglord of the temple, but with every rumor are whispered words of whether or not the Morninglord that returned is the same as the one who left a forthnight earlier.

Later in the same day, the Morninglord Tolan was seen moving from the temple to the Rising Phoenix Inn, following Eleanore, another member of the Song of the Morning Temple. Just as before, his movement was slow and his expression dispassionate and devoid of emotion. They later returned to the temple, making a brief stop at a newly planted garden on the temple grounds. Throughout it all, Eleanore's expression was very troubled and concerned.

In the late hours of the evening following stumbled steps from the Risen Phoenix Inn, a sickening thud echoed in a central alleyway of Beregost's dimly lit streets. At the base of the well a man with gaunt features twitched in a near-comatose state on the cobbled stone, his bearded mouth mostly agape as he mumbled to himself incoherently. Though it drew the eyes of one or two locals, most seemed to come to the conclusion he was simply a drunken fool and sought to distance themselves lest they drew the ire of Guard Captain Antonio.

*Wai Li is likely seen arriving in Beregost after much travel throughout the region with a cargo in tow. There are many tents, provisions, tables, signs, and other miscellaneous items contained within this shipment one would see if they observed closlely.*

*Eleanore is seen leaving the temple in a hurry, a grin on her face as she practically dances her way towards Maltz, in hopes of finding a new dress for the event. Along the way she is sure to stop anyone who would listen to invite them and make sure they are coming, promising sweets if they do.*

Many might overhear about or attended themselves the Year of the Morning Star Northern Amn Exposition and Faire in Beregost that took place today, hosted by the Church of Lathander, Church of Gond, and the Church of Helm and dedicated to Governess Benino and the fallen of the Amn-Gate War. Some of the highlights of the event are dictated or drawn as picture by those attending and given out as flyers throughout the region as highlighted below.

The Exposition Conclusion Speech of Governess Benino of Beregost and Amn
Good evening, all, and welcome to Beregost. I would like to begin by thanking those who have made this exposition and faire a possibility. The Everwatch Knights of Helm, our neighbors from Nashkel, first. Our local clergy of the Song of the Morning Temple. And the Church of Gond, whose wonderbringers have certainly brought us many wonders this evening. I would also like to thank the faithful of Chauntea, the Sword Coast Commercial Exchange, the newly-formed Inner Circle, and the elves of Doron Amar for attending and helping this event be as successful as it has been. The purpose of this exposition faire is to encourage the development of Beregost, our town, and to generate trade. The reason times have been so hard for so many of us are well-remembered: The war between our great nation of Amn and the city of Baldur's Gate. We at this faire honor those, on both sides, who fought and died in that war. Let no soldier rest unremembered or uncelebrated in their final slumber. It is incumbent upon all of you, each of you, to help mend the old war wounds between the north and the south. And through cooperation, bring into this region a new ... dawn. So it is I thank you again, all of you, for attending. And invite you all to feast with us for what remains of the evening.

The Exposition Conclusion Speech of Head Watchknight Wai Li of the Everwatch Knights of Helm in Amn
We wish to echo the remarks of the honorable Governess.
And add one more item of importance. Today truly is a new dawn for peace and Beregost.
Not long ago, corpses lay strewn upon the streets of this great town.
Children cowered at the sounds of swords and the screams of bloodlust
Honorable soldiers and warriors of both sides marched to their doom.
Today, however, is a new day. A new dawn for this town and the region.
And by attending you have ushered it forward. Helm bless you and protect you in doing so. Long live Beregost!

The Exposition Conclusion Speech of Dawnknight Eldarian Al'maire of the Church of Lathander
Let me just add that this town, despite its troubles, has continued to bounce back. And will continue to do so into the foreseeable future. Those of you who help us find strength? Thank you. Those of you who merely watch? Continue to stand, impressed.
Eat and enjoy yourselves, and should any of you ever find yourselves in need of help, he motions to the massive temple in the center of town, We, the faithful of the Morninglord, stand forever ready to aid you. Thank you, that is all.

*Slowly, starting at a sign post here, and a sign post there, fliers begin to appear. Some people may see a human female wearing white robes putting them up. Other fliers appear during the night, and no one remembers even hearing them put up. The distribution is not very quick, but eventually from Soubar to Nashkel the multi-page flier can be seen.*

A hulking dark-armored man, bald with a groomed mustache, rips one of the fliers from its posting in Nashkel, skimming it and cackling wildly in a gravely basso voice.

"Where these idiots get their information. They can't even spell our name correctly."

He throws the flier to the ground, spitting on it and stomping it with his boot.

"By the will of the Black Hand, this one will know pain."
