I'm a new player in BGTSCC as well as a newbie in NWN2 online world, I've only played single player NWN2 before. Players I met in BGTSCC are all very kind, and they offered me much help on my adventure. Currently I only have 1 character, his name is Shi TsunShao, a traveller from ShouLung Empire.

Hello everyone, I'm new here, some of you migth have seen me in-game or in IRC already, just wanted to stop by the forums and salute everyone.

The server looks nice so far even if I'm a bit clueless of what I'm doing (I'll need to read a bit prolly before I go all barbarian), also the community seems pretty nice aswel here, friendly atleast. It the first time I play on a "real" rp server/game and also my first time in a nwn2 open server (or whatever they are called heh).

Hello guys, gals and everyone in between .

The name's Lydia and I'm a computer science student from Greece. I've been lured here by the lovely Eldebryn and I must say that I really enjoy the overall experience so far.

When it comes to rp-ing I'm pretty much a noob but I'm trying to get better at it (doesn't really help that I'm utterly shy). In game everyone I'm met has been super friendly and, from what I've put together by lurking on the forum, the community here is pretty solid.

This is my first time playing nwn2 but I've played and enjoyed Baldur's Gate & the ol' good tabletop D&D.

(P.S. I've noticed that you've been experiencing some server issues that may or may not be ddos related. I'm well verged in netsec so I'll gladly offer you a hand)

Welcome Lydia! I hope you enjoy your time on the server and please don't get too dismayed if the server is offline especially in Eurozone times. The DDoSer has really been hitting that timezone hard.

If you need any help with the game or with RP in our setting, IC or OOC wise, the majority of folks here are happy to answer them in-game or via the forums or IRC channel.

Greetings to both of you, hope you enjoy the overall experience as much as most players here do . Try to have some patience when the server gets down these days because of the net attacks it receives.

Go to Multiplayer in the game menu and enter the IP found at the top of the forum's site in 'Direct Connection'. If you have trouble downloading and receive an error try googling it here.

Client/server is different version, might need to reinstall/get rid of my mods maybe idk, when i try to update it aborts :/

Are you using the GOG version of the game? If not, your game may not be fully patched. Atari is no longer automatically patching the game.

You can get the prepatched game here, with instructions on how to change its CD keys to yours:

Hullo, I'm Travio, new person extraordinaire. *wave* You can just ignore the "k" at the start of the name if you'd like.

Been playing D&D for ages upon ages (since before the Wizards revision of 2E was a thing, though I was fairly young when I started) and an absolute Faerun nut. I've been absolutely enamoured with all the games set in the Realms (even those really old ones, like Pools of Radiance and Eye of the Beholder) since I was just as young and spent a good chunk of my mid-to-late teens playing on some NWN1 PWs (and DMing/building on one)... And recently hopped back into NWN2 as I realized I'd never finished the game and it was on sale.

And now - sigh - here I am, digging myself a hole and getting back into playing on PWs and pretty much absorbing the Realms all over again. I have to compliment you guys on your wonderful rebuild of BG, by the way - it feels enough like the one from original CG that I can find my way around extremely easy. =)

(Oh, unrelated lore nut thing - I found a book in game about the Time of Troubles. That... troubled me a bit but I think I'll have to hold on to this wonderful book of prophecy. )

I go by AG-Sketch, or just Sketch either works, on the internet and I've been playing DnD for quite some time now. I love the stats, and even more than that I LOVE the roleplay that can come out of it. So obviously, when I find out that there's a way I can play alongside others from the comfort of my own computer screen I'm going to jump on that.

I've actually had NWN2 in my Steam library for ages at this point. I just... never realized there were any servers still operating. So needless to say, I'm all kinds of hyped. Barding it up all over the Sword Coast is gonna be a blast I'm sure.

Also, side note, you might see me popping up in the Gallery section with some artwork, because that is, indeed, a thing I do.

Anyways, enough of that guy. I'm Flession. That Travio guy dragged me along. I purchased NWN 2 right when it came out all of those years ago and have now finally decided to start playing it.

...I wish I was joking. <_<;;

I've been playing D&D since I was 18, and now at 33 still keep the habit alive. Now I find myself learning all the joys of Persistent World gaming because it's something I have never tried before. With MMO's specifically, I always found it odd to do because you're all doing the same quests, and you have to find something to do because you're the chosen one of X, Y, or Z group...just like everyone else who took that class. Avoided the subject of everything but the obvious and I never really felt it.

This group, however, seems like its something I can work with and has a pretty fairly active community, and from what I've read, great roleplayers. Plus it allows you to make your own stories, which I am looking forward to seeing.
