Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

I ran a test 19 Druid, Dire Bear form, Cast Flame Weapon and transitioned. All good, ran to full.

Second test was with Flame Weapon Extend, Bear form and transitioned. Ran the full limit.


Third Test was with Different Shapes, Fully buffed, transitioned to several different areas and had summons as well. Even saved the character, reapplied wildshape and everything came back online. Flame Weapon lasted to the fullest extent of Extend.

Not sure what the intention for Flame Weapon is, but still cannot cast it on any other creature/summon/PC. Only myself (even without holding a weapon).

It sounds like I forgot to apply part of the fix to Flame Weapon. The other things sound all good so far, unless there are any objections.

There are a few perplexing things going on. This was the situation before the last modifications:

Bless Weapon, Holy Sword and Lawful Sword work ONLY if they are among the first 10 buffs cast on a character. When the 11th buff is cast, they all disappear (GMW is the only spell that remains, but it could be because the bonus sticks even when the spell is removed) IMMEDIATELY.

If any of these spells is cast when the character is ALREADY buffed with 10 or more buffs (say, Circle vs Evil, Bless, Aid, Bull's, RM, Eagle's, RG, Freedom of Movement, Death Ward and Shield of Warding, for instance), then the spells will be cast, the VFX will fire, but THERE WILL BE NO EFFECT WHATSOEVER.

Now, things are a bit different (tested yesterday evening at the Metaplot event vs the Blight):

-) When fully buffed, Bless Weapon fires (VFX and all), but its duration is extremely short (less than 10 mins on a lvl 30 paladin) and does absolutely nothing (no magical dmg vs evil, nor undead...nothing).

-) Holy Sword works "at times" (I couldn't determine this exactly due to rest restrictions. It simply worked roughly 50% of the times, not sure why...I had used my full array of buffs every time, but I might have been more or less stripped by the rain of Mordenkainen's Disjunctions, courtesy of DM Bloodlust ), but with an extremely short duration (possibly the original one, round/lvl, even though it felt even shorter, and certainly not min/lvl).

I'll post again when I have a chance to get something more accurate, but there is definitely something strange going on still.

No, but other people posted that it did work from wands since the latest update. I haven't looked into the remaining issues yet.

They appear to be:

• - Potential duration bug, unless its caused by dispels.
  - Issue with wands?

I don't possess the wands, so I cannot speak of them.

The issues seem to be:

-) Duration bug (not caused by dispels, mathematically impossible. Enemy CL was too low to dispel me, and the spells are not on the Breach list. UNLESS the spell no longer takes into account the Paladin as a full CL class...in that case, yes, it'd definitely getting dispelled).

The dispels were rending OTHER buffs, lowering the "10 buffs amount", and that might have caused the weapon spells to ACTUALLY WORK when they did.

-) Bless weapon does not work when a character has 10 buffs or more on.

-) Holy sword works whenever it wants, and the length also seems like half what it should be (but I can't be sure of this).

-) Lawful sword shares the problems of Holy Sword and Bless Weapon.

All this, while Greater Magic Weapon works just fine.

Flame weapon still not working at all.

Still not working at all from wands. Tried today. Not working.

flame weapon spell duration wears of too fast now.

i'm still struggling with the fact that it was stuck on what pushed for a fixing of it when a paladin only gets up to level 4 spells and yes we get a few that no one else gets but most of the duration are short in comparison. i mean not only for the RP fact of the lock on a Paladin should there not be equal amount of pro's to cons

well Paladin have get some spells there not in the Paladin Spell book right?
