Ya I did.

Like when I click on the first one it opens to a folder BG then I click on that and it opens to a file. I try to click on that but nothing happens. If I right click on it to "save as" it wants to save it as a web page not a file *pout*

Do I need to sign in to a google account to download them?

You just wanna click the download button at the top of the page. It looks like a down arrow above the file name, you might have to move your mouse cursor to the top of the webpage for it to display.

OK I got all those and am putting them in, but like I said before the VERSION i was talking about is on the MENU screen. It doesn't matter that my game version number is lower than what the server is at?

The server is at 1.23.1765. I'm in a 1.22 version of my game. ****** NEver mind I ran the patcher just a couple more times and somehow it picked up the version.****


And the gamespy thingie doesn't load at ALL anymore.

You should download the Client Extender and load the game with it, if you aren't doing so already, Kitty. It fixes a lot of bugs and brings back the Gamespy system's utility.

Gamespy stopped supporting NWN1 and NWN2 two or three years ago, I believe, and this program was a workaround provided by one of the members of the community.

If needed, I could upload a fully patched NWN2 + MotN + SoZ without serials.

But most people can also find this via Torrent sites (of which I also share a Wineskin version of NWN2 for Macintosh players).

New player, downloading updates. I get this error.

Verification of download file bg misc v4.hak failed.

An error has occured.

I tried to log out and retry. Same result.

Kaosfury, try this.

Trying to log in today, getting the error:

"Verification of downloaded file 'bg_soz_tools.hak' failed, retrying the download.

bg_soz_tools.hak was downloaded successfully, but it can't be verified.

Please contact the server administrator at [email protected]"

Then the popup:

"An error has occurred that prevents you from proceeding. Please refer to the error message above the loading bar."

I was up-to-date with everything but haven't logged in for about a week, so I assume there was an update in there somewhere that my autodownloader is having trouble with.

Hello, i am experiencing the same issue as Avowed.
What do you mean with "can you put the bg-soz-tools.hak file for download" ?
Is there a procedure i should follow?

Count me in as having issues with the BG-soz-tools.hak File

It downloads the file as .LZMA but i can't change it by renaming or turning in .hak .rar and then extract manually as .hak becuase when i try to connect to the server it downloads again the file as .lzma and replace the manually changed one.
I don't know if this will be of some help but i tried something with my really low informatic knowledge

Where do we get this file from?

Someone whose game is working can upload that file to a file sharing site and then we affected users can download the working hak and place it in the correct location.
Seems that all the people who are unaffected are playing the game and not reading this section of the forums
