Sigh.
The sentence in bold text sorta implies that you're treating game and reality as being equivalent things (Whether it is true or not is not my problem.). Hence you got this kind of question.
No it implies specifically that I don't agree with people supporting racism, classism, and many other things in real life OR a game. Both being two VERY different things. Just as well many people don't enjoy rape, slavery and abuse of children in games OR in real life.

My personal preference is to not participate in such things. To each their own. Luckily this servers content prohibits the later examples. Just as easily as you can post a rhetorical slop about the need to increase racism, and classism on the server. I can post my opinion stating that I don't enjoy such things, and don't think its right you're trying to convince others to do so.

My opinion was made clear. There is no need to defend yourself or attempt to dilute my opinion with misinformation or toss some red-herring in the air about me having "problem distinguishing reality from fantasy".

This time I'll apply the bold. You say it, but it seems that you don't understand it.

No I perfectly, >9000% understand it. I'm saying I don't enjoy the concepts nor support them in ether scenario. Its not funny, cute or cool to even emulate racism and classism.

OK... So the server rules also state to respect the lore of forgotten realms and the server... There was a war with orcs in server lore, thus grey orcs should be treated with distrust. FR lore indicates that tieflings are predisposed to the evil ways of devils/demons as they are progeny of such. FR and server lore says Warlock powers are evil so... it's not racism or classism, it's reacting correctly based on lore, dependent upon your character concept.

Now if you want to play all your characters as being above this, that's cool...Though I wonder how you reconcile ever going to sharpteeth and fighting orcs...or going xvart or giant hunting...Technically if you kill anything with a language/anything that can communicate then you are slaying a member of a sentient race...racist! J/k of course, but I hope we can all agree that treating some races differently is a completely in character normal thing to do and should in no way reflect the very different RL racism (especially since there is a very big difference since we are all human/the same race...except chambordini, he's a gnome...and MrM3ntalist, he's clearly a real life elf)

What about mass murder? This server is rife with murder, slaughter of animals, village raiding (poor xvarts and kobbolds!). Steal "goods" hundreds of bandits killed, (and thier loot taken to, but not returned to owner...)

Speaking of which some racists(vs tieflings, orcs, elves) would be nice too.

I'm not taking your point... Being racist toward those races (even elf if your a dwarf or a certain psychotic human...Or otherwise have an in character reason) is perfectly fine...I think Ivan had it right, you're just trolling.

No, it appears that you 100% do not understand.

This text:

Due to the wording means complete opposite of what it is supposed to say. It screams "I don't see the difference".

And acting agressively defensive:
AstralisAdept wrote: attempt to dilute my opinion with misinformation or toss some red-herring in the air about me having "problem distinguishing reality from fantasy".
Only strengthes the effect.

You're quite obviously mixing real-world issues with fantasy world issues that happen to be named in similar fashsion. You do not understand the difference.

I regret that you cannot enjoy conflicting roleplay. You're missing out.

The most likely reason is that you're projecting yourself into the world, and treating your character as being "yourself". Try playing in 3rd person ("I watch my character from distance and see how story unfolds"). It greatly increases number of available options and opportunities.

P.S. I wonder how the heck do you even watch movies and read books.

Real life and fiction are not the same thing. In real life, bigotry and racism is wrong and causes very real hurt for very real people. But fiction is not real life. Fiction is about exploring a world and situations that are different from the real one. Some of that might be good, or even better than the real world. Others might be darker and more evil than in real life. It doesn't matter which, because the point of fiction is to explore these differences. A person who does not face discrimination in real life might want to write a character who is discriminated against in fiction, because this allows them to explore feelings they would not have the opportunity to in real life. The same thing goes for anyone that writes a character who has been involved in serious trauma. Fiction is a safe environment, but it's not safe because of being treated with kiddy gloves and ignoring dark ideas. It's a safe environment because those dark ideas can be explored in a place where they do not actually cause real life hurt.

For that reason I dislike the censorship of other dark or intimate concepts as any kind of OOC restriction inherently limits the level of immersion possible in a setting.

IRL, I'm a member of the LGBT community. In-game, I play a character who can be quite bigoted. I do this because the character is in a universe where that sort of thing exists and she is from a background that encourages the development of that kind of mindset. It's a matter of immersion. Whether the situations and environments are good or bad, if I don't get immersed in the fictional world I am playing in then there isn't really much point in engaging in it.

Though, most people don't notice Tari's bigotry since it isn't always vocal. She's the sort of bigot who develops a quiet resentment and is more likely to talk behind people's backs. She smiles to people's faces, but in truth she dislikes elves, orcs, tieflings, genasi, gnomes, halflings, druids, Amnians, peasants (because of being one), same-sex relations, nobles, and even mages (which includes warlocks). But most people aren't aware of it, because it's usually left quiet and unsaid. People often forget that kind of bigotry, even though it is often the more common form of it. Calling out people in public is not the only way that hatred gets expressed. Thus, one should keep in mind when making threads like this that just because you haven't directly witnessed it that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

I don't see a problem with this statement.

I play tieflings, by the way. And warlocks. And evil aligned toons.

The hatred is necessary part of this race/class, and I WANT the world to do its worst.
Throw stuff at my character and see how it reacts. Hate the character, hunt warlocks, you'll be met with hellfire, your act may trigger domino effect that may eventually shape the world. It can be glorious! Even if my character dies permanently in the process.

Yet here you are, killing endless story opportunity with your "I'll ignore the lore, because racism in real world (that has nothing to do with the game) is bad" opinion.

Sigh. What a buzzkill.

The "puppy land of hugs and rainbows" is boring place to live in. A story needs a conflict.

I never posted to troll or debate the ethics of video games. I made my point simple. If you disagree that is great.

You say one thing and do the opposite.

I want fun. I want stories. And I don't want a "land of hugs and puppies". Because that one isn't fun.

This.

Also, don't read the Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Narnia, The Rift War Saga, (Enter any other fantasy book in existence), or watch any of the movies, as there is racism in them.

It's okay to not want to participate in any of these topics IG, though players and PCs may avoid RPing with you as it breaks immersion for people who have a concept of how the character would react to different races and then RP it. Just sayin'. But, you cannot tell someone else "you should not encourage people to RP these things", when they are RPing their PC appropriately for the setting and the server.

There is a difference between real life and the game. And portraying their character (within the PG 13 and the many rules of the server) does not mean that they are a terrible human player and will be warped by their RP IG. Players are not their character. And the characters do not represent real life.

"I'll set fai on fire, because I'm a tiefling warlock" is as silly as the "land of hugs and puppies".

Roleplaying requires cooperation of two sides. So the other side should also be able to start a conflict too. I can start the interaction, if necessary. They'll get plenty of rp hooks and opportunities.

If nobody but me ever starts conflicting situation, things will get boring very fast.

When you throw 50 RP hooks at someone and they ignore every single opportunity, things get frustrating.
