Remove Archmage Class Restrictions

Steve, you can make a wizard with 11INT. That goes against the common spirit of a wizard as well. The most important thing is the RP supporting your character concept.

Sure...but I thought we were talking about Archmage:

"Most archmages are pure wizards or sorcerers rarely multiclassed, choosing instead to concentrate on perfecting their arcane skills.

As everything with DnD, much is open to interpretation. What does "rarely multiclassed" mean to you?

Honestly i don't see why the restrictions are considered harsh, any mage should end up with the specified requirements by default. Everything mentioned is gotten by 99.99% of mages in general anyway. All my mages certainly meet the requirements even though i have no interest in playing an archmage. IMO the restrictions are perfectly fine as they are. No need to alter them.

Well, since you asked....it means that a single person shouldn't be a Player + DM + QC at the same time—or otherwise multiclassed—because then you become stretched too thin, and you really cannot specialize with skill on any one thing.

what is we get archamge prc to lvl 5 and then you can only cross class with Master alcemist prc or else it is 10 lvl with any other class?

Created a character with 3 levels NOT on the approved Archmage Class restriction list.

Was given the Arch Qualification feat.

Have 7th level casting.

Have Skill Focus: Spellcraft.

Have 2 Spell Focus feats.

Have Spellcraft 20 and Lore: Arcana 20.

Cannot take an Archmage level!!

Has anyone successfully leveled up into Archmage using non-restricted caster classes?

Not yet. It will be implemented soon ( soon as in QC soon ). There are many things in the works and sometimes some fall in the cracks...

I was kinda curious as to whether the current implementation would actually prevent a non-restricted class combo, since I never tried it before.

An update was sent by Rasael to remove the restriction. When Duster is ready to implement the update, the restrictions will be lifted.

That is awesome and horrible at the same time... I spent 80,000 gold to get most of my spells back the last time I RCRd
