I believe what you are saying here is in regards to a want for more avenues and mechanical structures to be provided for playing more mundane character arch types, that were never really the emphasis or focus of the game that this game draws inspiration from as a video game simulator/emulator/modular campaign for making DnD Game Words.
My most known character is Jand Auren, and so I can see where your assumption comes from, but it is not the case.
What the server needs is quests and more sandbox feel, so that PLAYERS can initiate quests, with REAL mechanical rewards. Not Rp rewards, not drag the enemy to the fist and hope a DM is around, but REAL mechanical rewards. I am especially thinking usables related to alignment restricted quests.
I am also talking about players feeling like they can impact the server. And I don't mean a statue for big DM events, with names on it. I mean like items in the loot table, etc. And I don't mean via DM reward, I mean via some kind of acclimation quest or other such things. Things to give players a reason to explore dungeons, etc... ...especially if you level restrict them to make them difficult, or impossible to solo.
I also think things like "high scores" for wolf hides turned in, rewards for minotaur horns etc. I like that right now there is a merchant in soubar that pays different prices for hides, etc. That is pretty neat.
Right now, fist of the forest is about impossible..... ...but I see food sometimes sold to merchants, so I know there is a food/cooking system coming.
There are no Indians to play token roles and flesh out the setting.
I have about 60 indians. My characters are all mostly side characters, because none of them have a presence. Maybe they will once my grand scheme is in place, which is probably never, because it is too much work......and frankly, most people, IMHO, don't even understand roleplay, even if they say they do.
