I'm actually making a point in relation to your function here as QC-Coordinator, and as such you should take these things expressed here very serious and the take it up with the team and discuss, or the very least consider it rather than be dismissive about it and defend the current rules and mechanic.mrm3ntalist wrote:No, noone should be just advocating about what people are expressing concerns for. It is possible, and that will happen when review process is sufficiently transparent.mrm3ntalist wrote: Does each and every player that plays here should be sufficiently sure about any changes? That is impossible.
Basically, it is a matter of trust.
If you start randomly change stuff on scripting side because scripting is fun, this will create impression that that you do not care about the setting at all, or do not care about what people might want or need. This will care distrust and can kill the community.
If you actually listen to feedback you get and respond to it, that will create trust and positive attitude in the community.
Dismissively creating specific mechanical change without asking whehter people actually WANT that, will create distrust.
This is kinda obvious.
Unless you have Kojima caliber lead on your team, you listen to feedback and act on it. It is also important to watch out for situation when somebody's team role get in their head, they star fever, start acting high/mighty about it, and being dismissive/rude towards others. I had a run-in with extreme case of such person in 2014... wasn't pleasant.

Locking this thread. This is not even the role of the QC Coordinator. If you have further questions or concerns about UD/surface travel policies please contact the DM team (or whatever staff group you like the best!), but this is turning into a vaguely hostile seeming argument between players and staff and it's no longer appropriate.Incarnate wrote:I'm actually making a point in relation to your function here as QC-Coordinator, and as such you should take these things expressed here very serious and the take it up with the team and discuss, or the very least consider it rather than be dismissive about it and defend the current rules and mechanic.mrm3ntalist wrote:No, noone should be just advocating about what people are expressing concerns for.
