A man known as Jero has donated several crates of very rare and expensive wine to a Friendly Arm Inn.
Even though, the temptation for Bilbo was very high, he only snatched a bottle or two, while waiting for the rest of them to be checked for poison.
You never know with those Bhaalists, after all!
Jero also has closed his accounts at every single inn on the Coast. Gathered all his belongings and has completely vanished from a glorious city of Baldur's Gate the day after without leaving a single trace behind him.

The two reported followers of Bhaal, one human and one half-Orc were spotted again in Cloakwood sermonizing about the nature of Murder, the natural tendencies of the travelers in the wood towards killing, and the glee it brings their god.
A human was slain this evening near Cloakwood after the Fist was called in to investigate the death of a traveller... Some time later, an Orc was seen dragging the man through the forest.
Some have speculated that the church of Bhaal may be seeing a resurgence. Has the Fist's grasp loosened on the woods?

There are rumors of local children going missing for a few hours only to return with no memory of what happened to them. There is a small incision mid-way down their left inner thigh.

[From what Meri can tell, the children seem fine. She gathers that the incision was where blood was taken, though she suspects it was not a large amount. As to the memory loss, not even the Saint's prayers can restore it. It is as though the time itself, and any events within it are missing entirely from their minds. There are traces of some sort of ill intended magic in the victims of what seems to be some sort of ritual. Of the five children no older than twelve, she offers what prayers she can to cleanse them of the magic... but with little else to go on she can only advise caution.
As a precaution... She does ask the guards about the orphanage to be watchful... and takes better note of the children she sees on her trips to the city, urging them not to be out alone or in unsafe places away from protecting eyes.]

Two persons have been spotted casting foul magic into the orphanage and fleeing the scene in haste. The witness, Casken, explains to the guards that they wore hoods over their heads and that he couldn't make out the faces in the hurry. However he is certain that he correctly identified markings of Bhaal on their robes and that they acted maniacal, one of them cackling uncontrollably as they ran.

//Orphanage is actually heavily heavily warded. Most magics casted at it fizzle and stuff. So yeah...

// Didn't know, but I did spot two PC's in dark robes, doing what I describe (the actual "foul magic" casted was those black tentacles. The bio of one of them clearly stated that his character made no attempts to hide his worship of Bhaal on his body.)

// Knew it was warded, was testing said wards so I would know this IC, then fled (now enough with the OOC).

The town crier runs through Beregost spreading news that travels to the Fist HQ within the grand city of Baldur's Gate, word of additional murders upon the roads of the tradeway. Three in total... Two men and a woman were found stripped of cloth and strangled to death side by side upon the road. Ritualistic runes are carved in their pale.. but oddly, bloodless corpses.
The only clue left behind of the assailant(s) would be the weapon used to end the life of the unidentified commoners.... rouched scarves of Black sheer silk chiffon, measuring a yard long tied heinously around the collapsed airways of each of the victim's throats.. The tensile strength of the fiber and make of the scarf ultimately asphyxiated the victims in a slow but painless death... Under one of the forearms of the female victim is carved the following:
"For every one of ours, three of yours will pay.."

John Roland is seen patrolling around cloakwood and the friendly arm inn, asking various travellers what they know about Bhaalist and if they have seen any.

After a noticeable lack of news about Bhaalist activities, a young male bandit was found on the northern outskirts of Cloakwood with his head removed, hung upside down from a tree by his left leg. A message is carved upon his chest in a rough Common, "My onE oRphan sIn".

An Amnish delegation arrives with unseemly haste, accompanied by enough guards to prompt an immediate protest from the Flaming Fist guards at the bridge.
Some of the Amn contingent have bivouaced just outside Baldurian lands; the rest have entered the city and taken residence in the embassy, setting off a flurry of rumours and speculation.

The swamp preacher in black was seen again in Cloakwood, this time calling to the faithful to join together and act in purpose. His speech was fevered, mentioning "a larger movement", and calls for "unification to deal with the increasing intolerance of the oppressive administration of Baldur's Gate and the Ilmateri". He repeatedly stated, "the blood debt deepens" and that "change will only come through Murder."
