Re: Rumours and RP of Thundars Ride

It is rumored that the Order of the Blackrose has started to dismantle the outpost and Lumber camp in Thundars ride and is pulling out of the Area. Most of its Mercenary and Militia troops raised during the Bugbear Campaign are disbanded and much gold is handed over in payment of their services. They would then leave to go their separate ways.

Morning Prayers.

A multitude of arrows is pinning a little wood elf to a Thundar's Ride oak.
The elf is profusely bleeding, it is unclear whether she still lives.

Even bugbears avoid this sacrificial site. The oak reeks of negative
energy and malevolence, but to what god did the blood go?

In the Forest of Wyrms, Whitewood Vanguard squad clashed with
the notorious duo — the orc hunter and the drow warrior.

It is rumored that the defeated side was released
alive, but what was the price?

A gathering of the Gray Ones?

A sign has been constructed on the Fields of the Dead by an unseen presence, inviting all followers and Clergy of Myrkul to a gathering at the town of Soubar, to take place two days before the 'Day the Dead are most With Us.' A gathering meant to allow the followers of the Lord of Bones to discuss how best the disparate faithful could organize to enact Myrkul's will within the sword coast. In addition the sign offered fresh converts and newly ordained clergy assistance, should they come to Soubar to seek out it's maker.

In place of a signature was a glyph of a skeletal hand, reaching out of a well.

(//Because I forgot that reboots wipe in-game props... unless I messed up with my counting, the date referenced would be next Saturday.)

In the last moons, there remained no signs of the notorious activity in the woods.
The orcish hunter disappeared from the scene. Whether he was outmatched
or found a new hunting ground — nobody knows.

The woods became safer to trespass.

...For now.

Soft lights gleamed deep within the forest, a strange mimicry of full moonlight captured between the trees. One of the caretakers of the Shrine to Eldath was present, keeping vigil that night and partaking of some strange ritual.

Two travellers sporting silver badges wind their way up the cliffside of a northern road, visiting a shrine built to catch the sound of the wind. Prayer was given, an offering was left, and a little wisdom of the shrine's intent was shared.

Out along an eastern road, a man appeared through some foliage and onto a cold, hard pack road rutted low by wagon wheels. Further along, he made his way through a tiny but well defended village, and off the beaten path still.

Pilgrimage was made to a small shrine of a stone chair, a well cared for banner flapping in the chill winter's breeze.

As before a few vials and trinkets were left for the next traveller. Along with a lady's blue hair ribbon set before the feet of the chair. Because yes, the wind will take that too.

DM SummerBreeze wrote: Mon Jan 03, 2022 2:15 am Rumour spreads of a trade festival, including local and distant traders, as well as an in person auction will be held in three weeks time in the vicinity of Boareskyr Bridge just outside of Soubar.

No attendees will be barred from entry, but a close watch will be held by forces consisting of mercenary guard, Zhentarim, Blackrose, and the Soubar Millitias to prevent any violence from breaking out. All trade of items and physical goods will be allowed with the exception of slavery.

(( January 23rd at 5:00pm PST this will be ramping up. Anyone can attend regardless of faction, alignment or race. It is an open trade, feel free to set up your own stalls or have a DM help set up one for you to sell your goods. We will also hold a live auction for those that wish to auction of specific rare or valuables items. This event will have DM oversight but the general trade will go on until players decide otherwise or the server resets. ))
As the rumors of a Trade festival spread Blackrose laborers arrive in the area accompanied by a few soldiers and begin surveying the area before a wagon of supplies from the Bridge fort is delivered and construction of Small defensible emplacement's and a series of short palisade walls begins. Rumors have it they seek to fortify the area to ensure the events safety after all this is the sword coast and anything is possible. They estimate that the preparation would be finished a few days before the actual event.

A black armored warrior wielding her trusty scythe was seen in Soubar offering warm meat and food to the locals, she would do so for about three days rationing as best she can to be fair with the locals. No noble will see the food.

The same was done in greenest a short while after.

As for the gates, the ilmaterian got an unexpected gift of supplies as well.

Never say Tempus shows no care for his future to be warriors.

Much movement was seen in the Boareskyr Bridge, the famous drow raider Urfindir and the tiefling Shadow engaged in battle resulting in the latter's victory. The fight appears to have been caused by the attempted kidnapping of a woman named Ashenie.

The drow was promptly brought to Fort Prominence by the High Mashal Galliard Hallowdant, teleporting along with the three and a woman named Marietta.

The rumors are running short, some say that he has already been executed, that he is imprisoned and others that he will be publicly executed after the numerous crimes committed in the north, causing multiple problems for the safety of travelers and merchants.

The truth does not seem to be long in coming, a missive in fact reaches Mag and the Zentharim, informing them of the capture of Urfindir and of a subsequent process to deliberate its life or death.

Some rumors seem to be rushing in the northern areas, many members of the Northern Barony gathered at Fort Prominence to issue the verdict on the life of the well known drow raider Urfindir.

There seems to have been a fairly long interrogation, where the drow has not lost his arrogance and sharp tongue.

During the process there were:

- Lord of Fort Prominence Amos Thistle, the High Marshal Galliard Hallowdant and the soldier Nicola Thistle of the Order of the Blackrose

- Vigilator Barristan Schulltze and the Darksister Marietta Thairo of the Black Abbey

- The Witch Tarina, representative of the Zentharim and Darkhold

- Hanner Blackrose, although no longer a member of the Order of the Blackrose

- The hunter Shadow, the one who fought Urfindir at Boareskyr Bridge

- Sister Ashenie of Ilmater, the one who, the drow Urfindir, tried to kidnap

The Northern Barony members: Amos Thistle, Barristan Schulltze, Tarina and Hanner Blackrose expressed an unanimous vote, death.

The notorious Urfindir guilty of:
banditry, murder, kidnapping, disruption of trade,
murder of some Order of the Blackrose and Zentharim patrols, threats to Tarina member of Northern Barony.

The execution was issued the same day by Hanner Blackrose, inside the cell where the drow was imprisoned and the drow's body was buried outside Fort Prominence by Ashenie.

Across the rivers of the winding waters, a Druidess can be seen humming happily to herself and harvesting selective boughs of holly with a golden sickle. Odd for the nature folk to be so active in the dead of winter, but this one seems in a good mood. Around the tree beneath her, a very fat she-bear prowls protectively
