A slender Drow male in tightly fitting silks, velvet and dark leathers with an odd, expensive-looking custom-made longsword in a black, rune-engraved scabbard and an exquisitely beautiful female wearing a chainmail snugly modeled on her soft curves and waist-long, pure-white hair hanging loosely over her mantle were seen pleasantly conversing as they traveled towards the Ruins of Oghrann.
Several candlemarks later, they were back in Undrek Valanar without a scratch, and their bags full of loot.

A 7th Circle strategic meeting with no less than 8 members invited was held last cycle at the Consortium Headquarter. It is rumored both Regent Nawiel and Revered Eye Zar'Vyrae were present. Any subject discussed was, understandably, top secret.

A herculean knight baring the emblazoned symbols of the Zhentarim and of Bane had arrived in Sshamath. After securing private lodging for seven cycles at the Spider's Kiss he was seen in the market speaking at length with the Thayan Enclave vendor in her native tongue. He delivered a plain envelope into her hand.

As of recently, the drowess known as Aunrae has been openly frequenting the Tower of the Masked Mage. A few cycles, she was seen bringing in the charred corpse of a male, the female herself having singed ends to her alabaster locks. She left gold at the altar after having paid for the male's resurrection, along with a silent prayer to the god.

This cycle, she has been seen entering the temple with a male masked in black. Shortly afterwards, a second male entered and the three conversed near the holy tomes and among the pillows. At one point, she was oddly jovial; the remnants of a stupid smile were plain in her expression when she finally left for a more heavily warded area of the city. More gold, along with gems from the masked male.

The stench of death and decay would over take the Spiders Kiss as a woman wearing a Skull Mask with the Sigil of a Blackrose on her clothes was seen booking a room. Anyone asking the receptionist would find out she was only booked in for three days.

In a surprise impromptu performance in The Gloura's Wings, Jabress Schezalle treated the gathered audience there to a song of epic proportions. Those familiar with the history of The City would most certainly understand her subject matter, others her witty ending.

It is rumoured she will do another public performance of the song in the coming cycles.

Quiet were the caves and clefts,
Darkness crawled beneath their stones,
Whispers all but forgotten,
A stirring unbeknownst.

Seventh clamoured,
Charnarg unarmoured,
It was not yet time,
But their blood ran red.

They came like a swarm,
Thousands cross the bloodied mists,
A throng across darkened waves,
Plunging down to the depths.

Did you hear the call?
Iron teeth gnashed tight,
“All, to the fray!”
Twin doom the Lake’s first sight.

Breached? Yet not abandoned,
Her walls stood resolute,
All but in vain,
For it was not absolute.

Behold! Upon the waves he comes,
A figurehead of death,
The Circle constricts their prey,
But he has not yet exhaled his final breath.

Fifty to their one,
The march they did not cease,
The Twins had all but fallen down,
But yielding not to death’s caress.

Bursting forth like pains of birth,
She brought forth her children,
Queen of waves spilled forth,
Death’s resolve did not dampen.

He comes! He comes!
Here upon our shore!
Fling spell and blood and bolt,
Now, now! Let him be no more!

The turn short lived,
Time gasped for more.
Blood runs, they flee.
They could not overcome her wall.

Sing now, uplift!
Cry the victor’s song!
“Valanar! Valanar! Valanar! Valanar!”
Thy deeds are not undone.

Unbeknownst was stirring,
In echoes of din and fires,
Powers that mortals ought not,
Z’orr’bauth ceases not her cries.

Shadows long, their tendrils,
Reaching for a distant place,
Maw and Hive, hear!
Serve now the master race.

Seekers go out to hunt,
A secret in a pocket,
Chosen of the Spider, One,
Will they dare unlock it?

“Varalla! Hast thou fallen now?”
Cried voices from below.
“Stonestave, stand forth! Thy time has come!”
“Why are they so slow?”

Blood spilled, she looked and saw.
Upon forgotten altar a battle did ensue,
The One the vessel, Chaos.
Could ever it be true?

Eyes, they held no mirth,
No haunting melody,
Awestruck heretofore,
How deep their felony!

Z’orr’bauth was his claw and fang,
Varalla’s carapace chagrin,
Never such sight e’er here beheld,
The Goddess, would she sing?

She faced the Unbenknownst,
Spiders, Circle, Seventh there.
Reverberate, O scream of pain!
Descending now that cavern stair.

Sshamath’s the victor’s song again,
Taking all their due,
But never, once all saw and feared,
Should they deny the True.

Divine blood upon thy stones, Varalla!
A conquest thou hast forgotten,
Dare thee take thy tongue and say,
“I have not been besotten”?

For dripping down Z’orr’bauth’s spire,
An ichor running under us,
It cries out in single voice to all,
Jal ultrinnan zhah xundus!!

In the last few cycles, visitors of Nau'klar may catch a suspicious scent in the air, a strong mix of fungus spores, animal entrails and sulfur. Something is brewed down there, and those familiar with the local shadow business can certainly tell that this something is either poison or drugs.

A dark armor clad woman enters Glouras, and writes down a note to be placed on the Bulletin Board outside. As she removes her helmet it's clear she is Jys'Ssysynstra Sshamath, formerly a Dev'lin.

"I have chosen my path, and many seem to have issues with it. Let it be known, I will be in the area for a short time and open to any who wish to settle such issues of importance. I've chosen to follow a Rivvil, for I find him worthy. And also let it be known I am calling Lis'Intha, my dear sister for a duel to the death. I leave this short time for any who would see to stop me from my decision to act, but good luck. I don't know mercy."

*A list of names follows*
Tedia Dev'lin
Lis'Intha Dev'lin

Word has it that Nym the Necromancer has returned to Sshamath. One whisper around the bazar is that he was seen dragging a large sword that his brother was known to carry into the School of Necromancy. Another whisper says that he was involved in some sort of argument with the school. Other whispers say that he is back for vengeance on someone.

DM Chant wrote: Wed Jan 23, 2019 3:52 pm In the deep of the night, the crypt wherein the bones of a cursed dragon prowl met first with the clamor of battle against its various undead denizens, including the clatter of draconic bone upon stone floor, then was followed by phenomena of a more curious nature. As the result of some secret catalyst, the atmosphere of the crypt seemed to crystallize with absolute silence; even remnant undead dared not move about within the stillness of the air. This preceded a mighty gust of hot wind that tumbled in force throughout the corridors, angry, unseen but most assuredly felt, seeking the source of some offense...
The next patrol notices the strange activity within the crypt. They finish their patrol ensuring the crypt is clear and establish a watch of the entrance and send their runner to report their findings to the School of Necromancy.

A while later two another groups arrive at the crypt to relieve the patrol and escort in a few Necromancers to investigate the lower levels of the crypt. They put out a notice on the board in the city and warn any who try to enter to stay clear of the crypt until the investigation is completed.

An imp is seen leaving the School of Necromancy, returning after some time... followed later by one of the School's students. After a chat with High Necromancer Beldroin he is seen leaving the School and heading towards the crypts...
