A tiefling was seen entering Elfsong Tavern with a cat in tow. The tiefling briefly talked with tavern's owners and then left.

Re: Rumors & Events of Baldur's Gate
A woman dressed in black has been traveling about Baldur's Gate, asking around and collecting supplies needed for her plans to set out to sea. She seems very unsure of herself and uncomfortable as she speaks with the strangers who may be the most able to help her, but she does what she can to prepare for her trip with as much speed as possible.
It's likely the woman may have been stopped by the guards a few times as she appears to be wearing a white theater mask, however this "mask" is actually her otherworldly face and after proving it, if needed, she would quickly continue on her way.

Re: Rumors & Events of Baldur's Gate
The Inquisition is being framed

Just north of the friendly Arm a caravan was raided. A lone witness claims this as the work of the Inquisition. The Inquisitors went to inspect the site of the raid and discovered many Inquisition banners on the scene. After a rushed blessing over the dead, the Grandmaster Inquisitor attempted to track down the lone wittiness who claimed they were going straight tot he Dukes. Unfortunately, the Inquisitors lost the witness in a crowd. Seeing this to be the work of the Master to discredit the Inquisition the Grandmaster Inquisitor retreated to Beregost to pray

Upon hearing the rumour about numerous spiders being spotted Mealir tried to hire adventurers to harvest spider silk against payment, unsuccessful so far he resorts to posting announces in the most prominent taverns of Baldur's Gate.DM Creo wrote: An unusual number of spiders have been seen along the Swords Coast. Many large forest dwelling species have been spotted close to populated areas. Locals surmise, it is likely the heavy rains driving them from there normal habitats. Except for a few missing chickens and small live stock, the spiders have done no more harm than to give many citizens of the Coast a case of the "Willys"

A particularly uncouth dwarf, bedecked in the hide of a great brown bear pauses to study the notice board in the Gate. After long minutes of squinting and audibly sounding out some of the bigger words he scrunched up his face and heads inside the inn looking for this "Captain." The dwarf asks after the captain to the barkeep and saunters over when pointed out.
"I do be Jarrol Ironhead and if'n I find any silk it do be yours ta buy. Had a long walk south from Ten Towns and could use the coin."

Posters are hung up in the taverns of the city, and on the bulletin board.

Wizards of the coast, sorcerers, alchemists, enchanters, crafters of wands and all who draw on the Weave to work their Arts.
I am laying the foundations to form a guild of mages. If this piques your curiosity, I encourage you to make contact with me for more information and the opportunity to influence its beginnings.
Letters may be left at the Friendly Arm inn or the Elfsong tavern in Baldur's Gate. I can likely be found on a bench near the Friendly Arm.

Re: Rumors & Events of Baldur's Gate
On a bright day in Baldur's Gate, a grey cloaked figure could be seen sitting alone in the outdoor patio of the Elfsong Tavern. He sits for a while, watching the day-to-day happenings of the city, noting as much as he could of it's typical patrons. In front of him, sits the parchment he grabbed previously when he entered the city. It caught his attention for two reasons. One being surprise, as he surely thought a city such as Baldur's Gate would already have such a gathering. And two, another opportunity to develop his Art. He looked around with a sad joy. He had just grown comfortable to the city and was learning his way around and rather liked the Elfsong Tavern. The barmaid said the Friendly Arm Inn is only a few days ride south, and if he were to approach this Sirion fellow, he would much rather do it in person.Pimple wrote:Posters are hung up in the taverns of the city, and on the bulletin board.

He sat contemplating over his meal for most of the afternoon before heading out to the farmlands to inquire on transportation south.

A heavily laden wagon is seen stopped by the Phoenix Company Lodge, a small group of dwarven craftsmen are seen taking tools from the wagon and then disappearing inside.
A few days later they load everything back into the wagon and leave northwards.

Mages of the coast! I thank you for interest shown and ideas shared so far. The time has come for the guild to draw its first breath. As such, I would like to speak individually with all who seek to join us. Those who have already made such intentions known will be contacted.
Before we speak, you may wish to consider in which fields of expertise you wish to make yourself available to the guild. You will also be expected to demonstrate your skill with magic.
