My dwarven toon Rugnar's bio states that hes originally from Citadel Fellbar which we all know was overrun and ruled over by King Obould Manny Arrows. Rugnar is in his 260 th year but as been away since he was a young dwarf. Is the Citadel still controlled by the orcs during this time line or as he been driven out at this time. It would be nice to know as Rugnar plans a trip up north to his homeland and i have been roleplaying him has getting ready for his trek. What say you all.

I dont have any sources with me at work.. but this sounds correct:

http://forgottenrealms.wikia.com/wiki/Citadel_Felbarr

Citadel Felbarr was originally a dwarven citadel of over 25,000 dwarves.[1] In around 1054 DR the dwarves abandonded Citadel Felbarr. The humans of Silverymoon quickly took advantage of this masive citadel and garrisoned it with over 3,000 troops[1] However after a battle lasting many months the citadel was captured in 1104 DR by orcs and renamed Citadel of Many Arrows.[2] It was recaptured by a force of Dwarves in 1367 DR. It is located near to the Spine of the World. It often trades with Beorunna's Well, Quaervarr, Silverymoon and Sundabar.[3]

Thanks mate, that was my understanding of it as well. My info came from the many many Drizzt books i've read over the years but sometimes i get the years of the events mixed up, his adventures do span a long time frame.

King Obould had the citadel, lost it in 1367 and then later the true rise of King Many Arrows and subsequently him taking on some of the one eyed god's powers occurred whereby he created the Kingdom of Many Arrows and later became an exarch of Gruumsh.

But as you stated the dwarves taking back the citadel is around 20 years from our current time in BGTSCC. So sadly, my Dwarven Defender doesn't have a home to go back to at this time. Dirty orc's. Guess he'll have to take a pilgrimage there and collect some skulls instead of drinking with the boys. Either way, good ol' fun fer a dwarf.

Here's one: What's all the lore on half-drow everyone can find? Instead of spamming the rules forum with a discussion about whether to hate or hug a half drow, why not post the info here?

Whats the ethnicity of most humans in Baldurs Gate; Illuskan, calishite, or Thethyrian?

(#2) = Cal1sh1te, for some reason it wont post that word.

In short, the Wearers of Purple are the elite clergy in the Cult of the Dragon (those guys who want to make all dragons into dracoliches to rule the world 'cause Sammaster says so). In PnP it's a prestige class, but I'm sure those who wish to play one can simply be a cleric and wear lots of purple and rile people up with speeches about "Dead dragons shall rule the world entire!" ;)

Its heavily Tethyran, with Calish1te.and Chondatan in a minority(though the former gets greater the closer the further south you go. There is a very small percentage of Illuskan and Gur culture here as well, but they are further north, and probably not within the realm of the server(doesn't mean you can't use them though).

#2 = feces, as there is a profanity in Calish1te that the forum censor picks up.

They have a lot of lore in the Shining South accessory and the race is described in Races of Faerun.

Half-drow are almost exclusive to Dambrath and are very cruel.

Timeline: Spellplague

Unread post by talon »

Not much of a lore person, but wondering if Spellplague would be enacted on the server?

Seems to me, it would be occurring in about 312 real life days if my calculations are correct (please correct me if I'm wrong), of course this assumes this server would still be up and running in 312 days :)

It would be interesting to say the least, if most, if not all arcanists, lost their abilities to cast spells and with a high percentage of them becoming insane

I did some searches on the subject of Timelines and Spellplague on the server and although FR lore seems to be somewhat followed, it is not a given that it is law and that it is modified by:

1. The players
2. The development staff
3. DMs
4. Changes made to the FR rulebook aka edition rulebooks

It seems we are following the FR timeline somewhat but are slightly modified alternate reality on the server. The timeline would seem hard to follow or enforce as it itself is being changed with game editions.

I have a warlock question. Well, a couple actually, but I'll start with this one. I'm a little bit short on knowledge about how warlocks gain their powers. I know that one way is to make a pact with a devil. In exchange for offering to do certain services for him, he will grant you your warlock powers.

But is that the only way? I've heard mention about some people being born with their powers, but nothing in detail about how that's possible.

And a more specific question: Would it be possible for someone to not know how they gained their powers? For instance someone made a pact with a devil, but then through some tramatic event (or because of the terms of the pact itself) can't recall the specific events anymore.
