The Moonlady would be seen in the Halls' clinic, working diligently to prepare a large quantity of healing supplies. These would range from simple herbal treatments to the more intricate nuances of divine wand crafting. If asked why, she would not speak much, instead offering a friendly smile and a kind word, never ceasing in her labor.

Adelaide comes by for her daily visit of the temple. This time, she brings a helper from the Darius Holding Company with her, loading him with a crate of some herbal remedies which have been purchased. A note is left for Rania, along with payment.

A few days ago Adelaide could be seen sitting on the floor by the fireplace in the entry hall, speaking quietly with a wild looking elven druidess who some might know as Nai. What was spoken of remains between the two women but it appears to have brought some relief to the druidess.

An Unexpected Guest in the Sanctuary

Following rumors of a violent incident at the Elfsong Tavern, the resident figureheads of the Halls of Inner Light would hear of the late night arrival of Juno Serra - armor sullied by blood and something like ash - with a well-dressed man in tow. The pair could be seen speaking quietly to Priestess Danya, who then ushered the pair into the temple sanctuary.

Visibly uneasy and keeping to himself, the noble would be watched over by the paladin of Sune whenever she is present at the temple, which is more often than not lately. Those who know her would find her markedly more tense and distracted, yet presenting an calm sense of purpose.

The Moonlady would, after hearing news of the two, seek out Juno and inquire as to if any further aid was needed, and ensure both had anything they needed while in the Halls. The Moonlady herself would appear a touch distracted, and when not down tending to prayer would be sequestered in her office behind an enormous stack of parchments.

After a week of the noble's sanctuary within the Halls, he seems to depart without a word. Late, late that night, a stone-faced Juno Serra returns bearing his body.

A few terse words explains the circumstances of his death: that he was killed bravely trying to assist herself and her companions against a devil's cult.

Once his body had been seen to by the priestesses and burial rites arranged, Juno spends the next day in silent vigil in the sanctuary.

Nathan visits the Halls, standing to visit the fallen Noble, saying a few quiet prayers over his body. His face is heartbroken. He gives a knowing nod to Juno as he passes her while she stands in vigil, but does not break the solemn silence.

The Halls would be filled this day with the heavenly scents of various dishes being prepared in the Fest Hall. Anyone wandering in would be invited to fill up a plate and have a seat, as the Moonlady cooks up everything from sweets to main dishes to simple appetizers, humming a lively melody to herself as she does.

On the 13th of Nightal, 1353, a weakened Reineke Ingenium is escorted to the Halls by Moonlady Rania Arowaven. He receives a few visitors, but after a while, Isabella Villame is seen going into the Halls.

While many come and go throughout the course of the evening, Reineke and Isabella do not emerge until the following morning.

The Moonlady herself is seen leaving the Halls shortly after Isabella arrives, fully donned in her armor and with her jaw clenched tightly. She is accompanied by one other, both of whom teleport away from the Halls, though not before any passer by might hear the infuriated woman uttering a few choice unpleasantries against the Beastlord and his followers.

The normal peace of the Halls of Inner Light was shattered this night when two lycans attacked the temple after one assumed the ruse of a mild messenger delivering a package to the Halls. Two in the Halls, Isabella Villame and Reineke Ingenium, were struck down, while Moonlady Rania Arowaven and the two guards by the door, Daven and Jared, were grievously wounded. One of the lycans was killed, while the other escaped into the Harbor district. Found upon the body of the slain lycan...a claw totem to the Beastlord.

So things seemed to happen again, at times when Freya was not around. Also things she already was part of were gladly taken over by others. But why should she fight over it? There was nothing she could do anyway. The winter has come, and was cold and dark itself. She seemed not in the mood to make it even darker.

Freya was rarely seen in the Halls itself. Lately she only came to grab some of her personal things she needed, just to stroll to the theatre again. It seems she chose the peaceful way to go against the servants of Malar. But if anyone accused her to do nothing, they were mistaken. If anyone would want to know what she does, they would have to speak to her in person and in peace...

Halron, after having conversation with Luke Darius over some wine, becomes aware and more informed about the attack in Halls of Inner Light. After Luke leaves to attend other matters the wizard is seen heading down in the temple after a stop in The Church of Mystra. Inside he finds two women, Rania and Alcarin, and offers to aid them in form of arcane magic.

With the first rays of sun touching the temple gardens, Alcarin steps out of the Halls of Inner Light with four of their Ruby Rose guards in tow, leaving the other two at main entrance duty on their positions. They head to an open space as to not damage any flower beds.

"Alright everyone, line up. So it will go like this, first we have a little warm up, by running a round from here to the Palace, then to the East Gate, Harbour and back here. Afterwards I'd like to go through different situations and how to react when for example protecting a ward, giving chase, being surrounded or when you have someone surrounded and so on. So we'll practice different scenarios, tactics and practice cooperating. Think of it as a little improv class. *she chuckles lightly* And we will finish with some sparring. *claps her gloved hands together* And one, two, one, two..."

At which point she runs out of the gardens to make rounds with the guards, upon their return she executes her plan, using her own Bodyguard training to impart anything she could on their Ruby Roses for the next two hours. Such view will become from now on a daily occurence at the Halls.

The Moonlady enters the Halls today, and after requesting any who wish to hear to gather, speaks the following in gentle, quiet tones.

Greetings, beloved Brothers and Sisters. I come before you today to speak of the recent occurrence in the Halls, in the hopes to both clarify what happened as well as to achieve a path towards moving forward in a sense of unity.

As most of you know, there has been a Malarite druid roaming these part, attacking, abducting, and torturing many. Several of whom have been harmed I call friends. The Beastlord, and those who serve him, are one of my goddess' most fierce and merciless enemies. While many valiantly hunt for this druid, he has yet to be captured nor brought to justice for the harm he has committed to so many.

It was due to the actions this cur of the Beastlord that I decided to destroy the altar of Malar. I was not alone in these actions, but I will gladly take the repercussions for it, for I am sure that my faith is why I alone have been targeted for the deed. I live for my faith and I will die for my faith, as I would gladly do to protect any of you here. I went to the altar, used a scroll that allowed me to assume the form of a fire giant, and then I destroyed the altar, with others there having done their own attacks or actions to show disdain for the Beastlord. To me, when you have a boil that grows infected, festering upon the skin, you lance it to cleanse the area for healthy growth to occur. I destroyed it for that reason; to rid the area of something foul, and loathsome and which infects the lands with the taint of Malar and those who kneel to him. Perhaps I even had the foolish notion that such a thing would give notice that people would no longer sit quietly by in fear of reprisal as evil and cruelty strike out. Nothing more, nothing less.

The attacks in our beloved Halls were unexpected and there was no way for the guards to have done any better than they did; they all fought until their lives were at the brink of perishing, ready to die to protect the Halls and those inside. Myself, Reineke, and Isabella were in the fest hall, discussing in fact, this Malar druid when an older, mild acting man came down the stairs with a package, stating it was an order to be delivered to the Halls. I walked over to accept it, and as soon as my hands touched the box he called out, “Here's our quarry, boys!” and then he changed into the unholy form of a lycan lost to the blood lust. At the same time, upstairs, the sounds of battle rang out before the door fell open again and a second werewolf bounded in.

Isabella summoned an omnimental, while Reineke began battling the one attacking him. All of us fought as hard as we could, but sadly both Isabella and Reineke were over powered. I myself was near death, barely able to lift my morningstar and shield. With the aid of the omnimental, I was able to kill one of the beasts, while the other, grievously wounded, ran back upstairs and into the darkness of the night. Without pausing, I turned to Isabella and resurrected her, getting her back on her feet before doing the same for Reineke, then providing both with belladonna to ensure no infection is passed. Isabella gave chase to the second, but it managed to vanish in the bustle and shadows of the harbor area. I followed her up the stairs, though stopped to heal the many wounds of the guards, ensuring they too were in no danger of being infected or dying before returning downstairs to look over the corpse of the first lycan for anything that might provide a clue to where these beast were meeting or the like. I also did a fast sending to the druid Teris, to give warning of the second lycan, so that any others out in the night might be aware of the danger. Shortly after my return downstairs, many came in, armed and ready to aid.

My actions of the destruction of the altar of Malar angered the servants of the Beastlord. Those of us who serve the light know that any of our actions can and often do cause retaliation from those who serve the darkness, and such an attack as this one could have happened at any time, any place. I regret most heartily that it was the Halls that it occurred in, as well as the fact that those within these sacred walls were harmed. For this, I am truly sorry. There is a fact, however, that must be faced, and one I myself am focusing on.

There is still a lycan out there, who was brazen enough to not only walk into the city, but also into the very Halls itself and attack. Furthermore, there are more of these creatures out there, and a single one alone is most powerful enough to take on six Ruby Rose guards without falling, and fearless enough to do so knowing there are the Flaming Fists and other guards around the area that could have come by at any moment. It is so very vital now that we gather together as one to stand against these and all other threats to our community and those who live here. I myself will never allow tyranny, cruelty or oppression to rule, nor will I ever hesitate to take a stand against such. Again, I do deeply regret the fact that many were injured due to this assault and that the Halls was the location they occurred in, and I am now working on ensuring that the matter is dealt with so that there will not be a repeat of such things. If any of you wish to speak of this matter further, please feel free to seek me out directly.

I thank you for listening and may the Moonmaiden bless and keep you all in Her eternal loving embrace.
