you mean they get some spells that aren't in the Cleric's which is true but some of there Durations are only 6 seconds a level which means level 30 you get 3 minutes, which isn't alot of time for lets say +4 to strength con and charisma, or holy or lawful, i'm just asking for a balance between the two which i think is fair

I guess there will always be an argument that no PC should have access to such powerful weapon enhancement. Personally I like it since the world is low magic already on the gear. However this is a community and if the whole community and QC, DMs and DEVs all agree to nerf some more then I am on board as I love the community more than the mechanics. I can not believe I said that though......Who would of thought?

I sent Duster another package yesterday or the day before. It'll be on the server in a couple of days I think. That's the usual pace. :)
+ Effect duration slightly increased.
+ Visual effects tweaked.
+ Bugfix for targetting others issue.
+ Bugfix for duration issue.
+ Equipping & unequipping will trigger a duration re-evaluation as backup.

Update Take 3 applied. Test again. BTW, the point of this is to resolve some non-PnP/broken/exploitive behaviors.

Damage bonus from a flame weapon spell did multiplied critical damage today :o
The flame damage swaps from one staff to another when switching weapons,
flame vfx appears on the second weapon, but not when switching back to the first one (on which the spell was cast).

Yes we are aware of that.

Its a tradeoff which explains why the damage types are all set to divine now. Originally you would have stacking bless and holy or lawful weapons. Now they dont stack, but you get crit bonus for the one thats active.

If Bless is now divine like it is supposed to be then perhaps Holy Sword should be put back to its original length? With Holy Sword being 1min/CL and Bless being 1min/CL Bless is completely useless like changing the damages so they do not stack actually makes bless a null spell. So IMHO we either make bless a magical damage or Holy should be shorter duration. As it stands if Holy is 1min/CL bless is not needed as they both do the same thing. Yeah Bless works for any PC not LG so there is that........but still I guess it just rubs me wrong that stacking damages is not okay but it is okay that they can do Critical instead? Do you have any idea how much better that is for Kory instead? Holy Sword activated and Flame Weapon Kory will do around 180 - 200 Damage on a critical hit. Which I guess I have no issue with but he is wielding a spear. Then take into account Greatsword WM/FB OMG they will wreck the Criticals!!! Plus does this fix allow Warlocks and archers to enchant their stuff? Cause Warlocks are able to critical around 300........

Bless Length is certainly discussable. Im not aware if its less than it is in pnp?

As Duster said the point of this fix is to seal the exploit with permanent item damage properties, and to do away with forced unequiping-re-equipping which we previously tried as solution. That led to item loss and issues in combat.

Keep in mind that another trade off is that they are dispellable.

The loss of stacking slightly evens out the bonus from criticals, but not entirely. Thats fine. There is other content coming this weekend or next weekend which will alter the balance more. We will review when its gone live.

None of it is 'final'.

I do believe those spells need to be changed back to their original damage types.

Making them all Divine damage where they don't stack, you might as well get rid of the other spells... they are useless.

On the other hand, 4d6 per hit against Chaotic Evil and 6d6 per hit against chaotic evil undead is overpowered. Especially since you don't even need to be a paladin in order to get these bonuses atm.

Well Holy Sword is LG to use. Lawful Sword I have never used so no clue if it can be made into a wand? Bless is the only one that everyone can use as a wand. No matter though...BC it is still broken and will not fire when X number of wards are up. :x
