I'd like to think we can find cooperative competition within the storytelling, on BGTSCC.

If that does not exist, then it is a railroad we simply choo choo down like a happy Thomas.

So could we get more of it, please?

D&D isn't mechanically fair, it's not designed to be, and not meant to be. So is NWN2.

Nor is life for that matter........ but well said. This is what many people are just not getting. I like to look at it like Rock, Paper, Scissors. Every build has a weakness and can be beat by some other build. So in reality no one is really more OP or less OP than another as their build may be the bane of another.

However Steve is very correct when he says the RIG is FUBAR!!!!
That damned thing is ridiculous. Since when is a effing dragon going to drop a empty whiskey bottle with a spoon? Like where is the bowl? How about the fact the dragon was not even drunk while I fought it?

About palemaster:

I don't see how you can clear a lot of content on your palemaster when you can't even get your summon through most of the doors.
Of course I can cast invisibility and run to the place with goodies but that would be against the server rules.

Though if you found a way in doing so please share.

Chests:

About two weeks ago I went to Nashkel mines with a group and after some one looted a chest it was empty, I checked that myself.
They respawn after a while but this is not a party sharing loot.

Power builds:

I'm not talking about 1 level of SD, there are many builds you could optimize with picking a class after 20 or by simply picking 1 or 2 levels.
That aside there are some builds/class that are exceptionally good in MVP.

Not taking pvp into account since pvp in nwn2 on this server is simply a mess.

Loot:

Naturally it is about luck since the high level chests have low level drops in their loot table.
Though I've been around for a while and I've always been earning quite some gold in the lowbee level areas.
Yet once I hit the higher levels the loot from the chest becomes quite poor/worse.

D&D isn't mechanically fair, it's not designed to be, and not meant to be. So is NWN2.
If we can agree on that than why do we have 'power build rules' and 'class balances' here?

Please try again, screen shot and post in the issues. chest should relock and get new loot once the first person in the party closes it. been this way for about a month or so now.

I'll check the chests I've ran into once I go there with a few people.
I've seen the relock mechanic on a few chests though (but that was almost instantly))

That was probably a crate (bones,skullpile,.....) they don't respawn immediately.

Yeah, I get that a lot. People tend to claim things are impossible whenever they can't do them. It's what I was saying before about few people actually bothering to learn to play the game, since this aspect's importance is objectively marginal.

Not the right thread. That would be T&T

Someone already answered to you here. Bottom line is, chests are lootable by everyone in the party since several weeks now.

I agree. Weak and strong builds in equal measure. That was my point.

You're weighing the wrong things. Building rules and class balance aren't to keep characters balanced with respect to each other, but with respect to the environment. The comparison across characters is useful to experienced players in order to foresee the effects of certain changes before even seeing them in game.
