I have a couple fine points to sand down and/or to obtain clarification on. I apologize if this is to detailed or too much all at once. I tend to overthink things- its fun for me but not always for others who have to listen to me! :geek:

RP Outs:
-The first period, Jan-Mar period, we will allow RP outs. Any objections?
-Also, perhaps allow for the whole year, RP outs based on skill checks- bluff, intimidate, diplomacy?
It probably will complicate things a bit too much- as in how do you agree on penalties to skill checks and such. Perhaps if we had a DM. I don't mean to muddy the water but it would be nice to include these kind of skills a bit more.
So, let's not play with fire and just keep it the way now it is unless you have ideas- objections?

Mechanical Deaths:
-This means, basically if you get fugued for any reason...npc, pvp...if you die as per the mechanics of the game?
-Any PVP death is a strike (out of 3) - among our three factions or by other players.
We can use good faith with each other that we are not going to get out ooc buddies to help out it should be no problem. We may be working with other factions so why restrict their involvement. But they should be made clear they will not get any of the coin reward, whatever that is.
But, what about bounty hunters and assassins?
They would still have to obey current PVP rules. If I convince the Order of the Silver Rose to gang up on Israe's toon then Israe can still opt out.
We should allow pvp from outsiders following server pvp rules.objections?

Those of us who leveled some already:
So since the first period of leveling 1-10 is Jan to March and since January already started it should be no problem for those of us who have already jumped the gun and leveled a bit to stay that way. Its a technicality but Im assuming its not a huge deal to you all. It may be a problem if you hit level 10 and are still collecting RP exp for the next two months- just keep that in mind. Not a biggy imo but still... Objections?

The rest of this ginormous wall of text is just spit balling. A lot of the ideas were already mentioned in this post- Reply if you like these ideas or don't like them or can add to them:

DA COINS:
-So we incorporate the coins into our individual story lines regarding how we obtain them. Thats Great.
-Is it the team or the individual with all the coins, wins?
Its up to each team I suppose.
-What is that reward?
Perhaps we each donate a 100k - 200k gold and a donation of a magic item or more if you are filthy rich and feeling generous. The coins are all needed to be inserted into a slot - to open a treasure, basically working as a key.
-Basically I would like to find ways without godmoding, for us all to easily interact. If we had a DM- we could do dm events. But since we do not as of yet, we should facilitate things so that regular interaction is possible.
-I suppose we always need to be in possession of the coin or coins we possess...part of the curse/blessing of the item maybe.
-Maybe, each coin has a permanent detect coin spell on it. It will glow if anyone else who is blessed/cursed with another coin is nearby. Maybe you still have to examine the coin first to see if it glows, and it wont point out who also has the coin. If your team is all assembled your coins would be glowing anyway. It will help int confirming who possesses them opening the doors for much easier RP. We could even put something like "coin" in the scry tool when our toon is logged on.

Final Goal:
-Also any idea on what the final goal should be?
A DM event would be perfect.
But I thought of an idea that could work really well. The last coin in in possession of an epic boss like the white dragon (okay maybe something a bit weaker- frost giant king maybe). It becomes a race to see who get to the giant first. Or maybe we know the giant will receive it at a future date from say the white wyrm and its up to the goods and evils to convince the neutrals to side with them, in order to both beat the king and prevent the other team from getting it first.. We can compete to all obtain the means of find this info regarding the last coin ahead of time. The sooner we figure it out the sooner we can cajole the other teams to aid your faction....something like that.

Questions:
-How do we meet, or become aware of each other?
-Why are we all at this moment gathered around BG?
-What are some ways we can interact with each other- how do we form our teams?
-Should we create ways to meet up or just let things fall into place holistically?

Sorry I haven't been up with this, because it appears that a campaign of hostility has arisen between my guild and just about every other guild on the server. If it continues I may not be able to participate since this is taking a vast majority of my time when online.

Yes. And, we must allow RP outs to any/all characters not in our Campaign ALWAYS (as per Server Rules).

I think that this should be on a case-by-case basis, RP'd out. For example, if Evils are threatening a Goods, and the Goods Player wants to make an RP action of bluffing that their Faction is "...just over that hill..." and if the Evils do not leave now, they'll be in for a world of hurt, and the Players of Evil wish to allow a skill check/DC for the persuasiveness of the Goods based on Bluff skill or Diplomacy, I personally would LOVE to see that happen...but should be requested between us OOC at the moment (ie, not forced or demanded).

I think though that during the latter half of the year when we're all really in full CvC mode, it will be tense and one had better be sure they have the means to back up RP options to withdraw from a conflict. But remember: I think we're all in agreement that running to a transition, fleeing!!!, is allowed as an "RP out". Run you little chickens, run....

As per our Permadeath "rules," mechanical PvP deaths are the only ones that count against 3 strikes you're out. Fuguing from mobs doesn't count, unless you as the Player wish to play even more hard core.

I wasn't assuming that a PvP mechanical death from another PC outside our little group would count, but again, if you the Player wish it to count, that is your prerogative.

Whenever there is a question, lets just say to Default to General Server Rules, on the issue, then work it out OOC friendly like.
Those of us who leveled some already:
Yeah, just realize that if you power-level to 10 by yesterday, you're in a certain position that could abuse mechanics over Role-play. Be a good sportsman/woman about it, really. The point here is that some Players could get to Level 30 by Wednesday, and that would really screw up those that like to take there time (or are not in a hurry at any level). I think it is also typical that groups have varying power levels and skills, so with cap limits based on month schedules, we'll do just fine.

Yes to the former, and both to the latter. If 1 PC of a Faction had more coins, then by default the Faction would benefit...but if that 1 PC wanted to kill the Faction and take even more coins, well...try it buddy and see what happens!!! lol.
What is that reward?

But seriously, something to consider as time goes on. We actually need to get to the end, first...which I'm a bit concerned over!!! lol

Yes, so that if you DO GET KILLED by either mechanics or RP means, then you have a chance Dice Roll in which your Coin must be given up.

For sake of ease, one can take an OOC agreement of "for cosmic reasons, are Faction all ended up at the tavern, coins in hand, realizing that together, we could acquire more Coins and rid our enemies of any chance of gaining them back." etc etc. But yes, either we need to make an OOC List of our PCs created for this, or we need a SCRY-based clue.
Also any idea on what the final goal should be?
STAYING ALIVE!!!

If we make it to the end, then I think by that time we would be in a good position to request an epic Event from the DM Team.

- Again, OOC List or SCRY-based tag.

- The Sword Coast is perhaps were our Characters already were, or the "coin" came into their possession when arriving there, or they were given a Coin and told by their masters to search the Sword Coast for more of them. etc etc.

- One idea is make a Rumor about your Character being in an appropriate Location, having/searching/inquiring about these "coins" origin, or location. BOOM. Reason to "randomly" come into contact.

- Create ways to meet up. Starting off early with each other, will help make this Campaign get on two legs.

Yeah there is a book on this....I am looking to ramp up my involvement as a Admin. of HOV and it looks like I will not have the time I want for this all. Thanks. Go ahead and remove me from the list. Too much to do on another PC.

Everything looks good to me, I'm still in. I just might be a little slow in starting, took a fall at work and landed on my tail bone. Now sitting for long periods of time is pure agony. The Doc says it should heal up in a few weeks. :/

Are we going to create a RP and OOC thread for this or should we put all RP and stuff here?

There has been an unfortunate dropout of Players to this Campaign, for various reasons, thus we are missing the mark of 5 per Faction, as well, uneven Factions.

I do believe we can continue forward with a Campaign of high stakes CvC, but we might have to get more personal, meaning smaller scale but direct weaving of our Character’s background an stories.

Besides Mac, Aaron and Tekill, if you are still interested in being a part of this Campaign, please send me a PM. Cheers.

I still seeking the total interest Players—so thanks for PMing me as well!

It is hovering at 6 Players still interested in this. 6 is much less than the 15 I had hoped for to make this an Epic Campaign, but...I think with 6 we can tailor this Storyline down to something much finer and particular to the Characters we've all (secretly) thought-up.

That said, considering the "rules" of this Campaign, you can roll out your PC and begin playing him/her, as long as you do not exceed Level 10 (until April).

Well was hoping to roll out with you and izzul my neutral buddies! I think members of same factions should meet together before starting. After all those guys meet, at least one member from each faction should meet to "officially start the story" or something. Just a suggestion.
