Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

In general, we have always tried to do things based on what the average player can be expected to do or learn to do. If you balance the server on the worst player there is no challenge and thus very little reason to play PvE after the first week. If you balance it on the best players the challenge level is so high that 95% of players will get frustrated and leave. There needs to be enough challenge that MOST players take a very long time to learn how to handle mobs and especially bosses in PvE. By doing it this way the server offers a reasonable challenge that keeps players interested. Likewise, in some ways it encourages RP or at least forging relationships with other players in order to get help with bosses/area's you can't solo.

Unfortunately if you try to balance on the top or bottom you will end up with a game that very few players will enjoy.

Fluff RP... that mess is way OP. So is the OOC'ing.

.... oh, mechanics. Umm, elves? No! Drow. Tieflings too. They're like, everywhere, dressed up like they all have 18+ charisma when we all know damn well they have 8.

Wait.... OHHHH, mechanics. Uhhh... rogues. Definitely OP, need balancing. Yup.

As far as I'm concerned, when any tiefling uses the appearance changer, the only outfits that should be available to them are a burlap sack or mud. Devil-spawns are repulsive!

On that note, the appearance changer is totally OP

No lie! She has levels in Divine Champion, so I felt like her Divine Wrath and Lay on Hands should have at least some support.

That is not a skirt, it is one massive hoofed feet.

The horns have the blood of innocent babies on them.

The cheeks come with fiendish ritual scarring.

The eyes are black void that suck out the souls of the weak willed.

The hair is actually just a wig made out of straws.

The red skin comes with the obnoxious stench of sulphur.

The bottle on the belt is filled with erm... 'male vitality.'

The leather armor she wears is made out of the skin of sentient beings.

The cloak she wears has stars on it, and therefore a sign of absolute lack of fashion sense!

The book comes with fiendish rituals to ruin as all!
