The lack of any damage increase from gloves/weapons/arrows on these forms makes them very very weak.
The pixie really should have epic precision. If that can be scripted to be only active in that one form.
Yep. The bows should have a lot of mighty. I want to avoid things like Epic Precision, Shifter has other shapes to rely on when his enemy is sneak immune. 9d9 SA is quite a lot when fighting in a party for example.

I think I fixed this but you might need to gain a level to re-gain darkvision.

Also, Shifter form Owlbear is not granting the Scent feat either.
Weird. It definetely gets it in code in the same way other forms do.

I only have Owlbear at the moment to choose from, so in the future I can see if another form works or not.

But I would assume that, like Darkvision gets placed on the list of Feats in the Character Sheet, so would Scent. Right?

If i want to RP a pixie i don't want to shift into another form at all. 9d6 sneak isn't that great at all, if i cannot increase its damage much or against sneak immunes, not to talk against bosses.

Is WEREWOLFs damage resistance (5 + SHIFTER_LVL/4) DR / SILVER the same as Alchemical Silver or is there a difference ?

Does anyone else have the problem that the attack animations in the shifted forms are not getting displayed?

I already asked someone else and he could see my attack animations while at the same time I could not.

Many large monster forms have issues of attack animation cycles getting screwy. Werewolf especially can have its animations just stop and the model slides across the ground.

It's pretty annoying.

Why does NH work in shape, but Athkatlan Triparite not?

I've been testing the Speed Increase on the Shifter forms, and I'm experiencing issues.

For example, I have Items that grant Fast Movement and Dash (15% speed increase), but when I shape to Pixie (50% increase) I experience an actual SLOWER land speed, and when shaped to Wyvern (30% increase), I do not see an doubling of speed at all.

Would there be any issue with Items granting Character Sheet feats for speed increase(s) causing "blockage" of the Shifter bonuses?

Generally, yes, I think there would be, for the same reason monks have trouble with such.

However, you were never going to get double speed from a wyvern:

You might have doubled your speed boost (15% to 30%), but not your total speed (115% to 130% is distinctly less than a +100% increase).

Yeah, was a poorly written attempt to say doubling of 15% speed.

I’ll test this out more. But what I’ve seen is that once one logs in on a PC with a Fast Movement granting item equipped, even if one de-equips the item, the Fast Movement bonus stays active though the Feat disappears from the Sheet.

Theodore01 wrote: Wed Aug 11, 2021 7:56 amWhy does NH work in shape, but Athkatlan Triparite not?
Athkatlan Triparite deactivates upon equipping/unequipping an item, which means that when you polymorph, your weapon gets changed to a creature weapon.

Northlander Hewing used to do the same thing, but it was changed to remain in effect.

All of these home brewed custom combat modes, styles, and attacks were intended to make playing a melee character a little bit more interesting, so that melee characters would have something other to use than IPA or ICE on their Frenzied Weapon Master, or EDM on their Paladin/Blackguard/Warlock. The server used to have quests that adjusted character alignment. Thus today, you can find some really fun flexibility with these custom combat feats. A Fighter 30 could probably make use of them all. Even some Rogue build could find use for them.

So, if you want to use Athkatlan Triparite as a Shifter, in Shifter form, you got to make a request for a feat change... But having +4 AC on some of the tankier forms, with DR, and Regeneration will most likely result in a simple no answer. All you need to do is not get hit, and it doesn't really matter if you just land one or so hit per round back at the enemy because you will win that fight. For example, the Cursed Dragon in the Underdark, with its highest AB of 23 AB can be quite brutal to any level 13~ or so character -- but once you got enough AC to meet and overcome that AB, the Cursed Dragon no longer poses a considerable threat.

I tested an armor that gives you the dash feat and can confirm that the dash feet works properly in werewolf form.
Two tests without and two tests with the armor on before shifted.

Times for certain distance with dash : 8.3s, 8.27s
Time without dash : 8.82s, 8.80s

Thanks for testing. Good to know. I'm waiting for a Server reset to see if my PC "unbugs" from having permanent Fast Movement so I can test the actual speeds of the Shifter forms.

FYI, the polymorph/shapechange spells that Shifter gets is NOT taking into account Valefort's fix for reduced CON removing XP points, and when returning to Original Form, recalculating the percentage of Hit Points.

I just tried polymorphing to a Cat, and then a Rat, and both times going down from PC CON of 24 to CON of 10 from each form, my PC lost over 210 hp, and did not receive that HP back when shifting back to Original Form. Luckily, my PC has over 420 hp else I would have experienced DEATH BY POLYMORPHING!

An experience that burns the Ego of every Shifter on Faerun, for sure.

Re: Coming Soon: Domains Rework and New Domains (Split 1.2)

In line with Luck being returned to avoid creating illegal characters (especially post RCR period), other removed ones are also being added back. The only ones that will remain removed after the next patch will be wrong alignment domains (eg, Law for gods that are not Lawful) and wrong element domains for the four pure elemental gods (eg, Air for Istishia, because Istishia is the god of water, not the god of air).

As part of this change, removed-now-returned domains, along with other lore-inappropriate domains, are being split off in the deity description and explicitly said to be uncommon domains. Some lore fluff on them will be added on the wiki and perhaps in-game at some point, reflecting that they are independent interpretations of that god's doctrine - heresies and heterodoxies and such. The excel document has been updated to list all these domains, with the uncommon ones in italics. The wiki is being updated but needs some more work to reflect these coming changes as well as the full spell lists.

As part of this change, the 100% RCR will likely be extended one more week.

Futhermore, some clarification on illegal characters. Many characters are currently being flagged illegal even when they have the appropriate set of domains. This is because, prior to the rework, several domains did not include epithet history feat versions of the domain. Due to the new flagging script specifically checking these feats, these domains give a false positive. If you are missing the history feat for a domain you have and everything else looks like it should be legal, ask a DM to give you the missing domain feat.

As an aside, next patch will also see all domain spell descriptions accurately list the domains they are received from.
