A pair of Guardsmen from Candlekeep, Avowed both, arrive with a missive for the Order of the Silver Rose, from the Office of the Guide.

Three members of the Order of the Silver Rose may have been seen heading North on Patrol with a supply horse, carrying supplies to the troupes in the North.



Commander Seth, Lady Elvina and Lady Ashryn stopped in the Eastern Farmlands at the Refugee Camp for the night after dropping off supplies for the Refugees.

Dear Commander Veslana and Lady Wyann,

I've enjoyed my time doing various duties and especially tending to the horses. It reminded me of home and of days as a child I had more freedom to do what I wished to. I find myself unable to do even the most other tasks ordered to me I am as of yet unable to scribe official reports nor read the history of this chapter as ordered. I can only imagine it is a lack of trust because of my ancestry. Trust goes both ways and there are many on the coast who would have vouched for me if you'd had asked. Nor do I have the freedom to act as I would otherwise as I represent the order and have to follow the orders I've been given. With heaviness, I feel I have no choice but to resign. I wish nothing but success in all your future endeavors.

A missive arrives to the Silver Rose Keep by messenger falcon, bearing the seal of House Vale and addressed to Veslana.

Knight-Commander,

It has been too long. I hope this letter finds you well, though I surmise with all that has happened across the Coast and the Heartlands, it likely does not. Nevertheless, I know you to be a true champion, so it is my hope that your spirits remain high for the coming trials.

Tale of the atrocities being committed just off the trade way have spread to my ear, of mages being targeted by fearful rabble seeking someone to blame for the chaos that unfolds all around us. I need not tell you that there is no justice to this. If you have not done so already, I respectfully petition that the Order increase its patrols along the Trade Way to deter similar crimes in the future. As the Order of the Silver Rose is the closest to the Friendly Arm and the road it borders, I know of no one better from whom to seek aid.

I shall endeavor to visit your keep in the coming days, barring unforeseen circumstances. I look forward to discussing what other joint efforts our houses might make to alleviate the suffering of the masses.

The world felt colder somehow there along the sword coast, as well as in the hearts of many. The gods no longer responded to the prayers of the faithful. More, the gods were rumored to be walking among mortal men, Mystra's demise, it all felt so alien from what the natives had known for as long back as could be remembered by mortal men. But hope still holds true in the hearts of many. Those who want nothing but the best for the common wealth of Baldurian society. But it wasn't just there, there was sure to be a spark of hope held from Moonshae to Damara, from Icewind Dale in the north to Calimport in the south. People who still held a light in their hearts that good deeds could be as powerful as evil ones.

So it was on this day that The Order of the Silver Rose had seen a bit more of that light. Having recruited Squire Xalliana not two weeks prior, they now likewise swore in Squire Declan. Two brave souls willing to join the side of good in it's attempt to balance out the darkness. These were trying times, these were the times when gods were dying, and mages were being murdered by bands of travelers who had no one else to blame for what had befallen the world. Here with Baldur's Gate and it's Meteor storm, Candlekeeps Books becoming chaotic creatures, Beregost and it's red winter, Nashkel and the freak lightning. It was good for Knight Commander Veslana, Knight General Layne, and Lady Gemma to see that brave souls would still take up the mantle in the name of protecting those unable to protect themselves.

The patrols were becoming more regular, travels to the west on behalf of showing solidarity with the Bladestones in their intentions to help travelers. Travels north to En Dharasha Everae to make sure their magical fortifications hold out, and all along the Trade Road to be sure that people were cared for. The Silver Rose would help do what they could. Today was a day built on hope.

During the Time of Troubles the following has occurred:

The Knight Commander has met with the Radiant Heart, Doron Amar, En Dharasha Everae, House Vale, the Everwatch, and the Church of the Triad to discuss concerns and strategies. Specifically our Order will focus primarily on the regions surrounding the Friendly Arms Inn, particularly with regard to escorting mages through the region, and providing safe haven when needed. Lady Gemma has been assigned this as her primary command area. She has also made this the primary assignment for her Squire, Declan. Sir Layne and Squire Xalliana continue to assist with the broader patrols.
