Clouds had covered the sky and rain had been frequent for many weeks already on the Coast, but on this particular night the sky was clear. The moon shed her light unhindered over the village.

Elves had gathered together and they were waiting for something. Finally a column of elves headed along a path up to the platform next to the new temple. They were first greeted by pillars of blue light and near the wooden altar waited a row of fallen elves. Five they were, dressed in fine garments and prepared as well as one could under the circumstance but the faith of them was still evident, ever present. Victims of a cruel act, found from the bottom of the sea. Their hands had been crossed across their chest and a single candle shed flickering light on their faces behind their heads.

The elves assembled to the sides so that there was a free path in the middle to the fallen. Only one figure stood on the middle isle. Dressed in ceremonial gown, a simple silver diadem adorned with a single moonstone on her brow, the moon elven priestess, addressed the gathered. Anyone who had something to say, fitting to the occasion, was allowed to speak. Several of the gathered did and even an ancient funeral rite was given by one of the council as a gesture of honor to the dead.

Finally the rite of passage of the soul and the guidance of the dead was performed. It began with a prayer to the Daughter of the Night Skies.

"...Moonlit Mystery, hear my plea. Cast your shrouded gaze upon us and fill us with dreams of hope.
Lend us strength so that we can carry on. Hold our hand when we step astray.
Be our guiding star in the dark, shining brighter than no other.
Hold us in your arms like a mother cradles a child and spread warmth to weary bones.
Give us your Blessing, Lady of Dreams."

After the prayer was finished, the priestess approached the altar and the calmly resting dead. At the foot of each she murmured softly, gathering light between her hands as if the light of the moon itself formed into a ball. She placed the ball of light at the foot of the first one and spoke softly.

"May the moonlight preserve your memory and never be forgotten."

The same act was repeated four more times, one for each deceased. Lastly she placed a single clear diamond on the floor. A moment of reverent silence followed, gaze cast somewhere into the distance. After a moment of silence, she spoke with a soft, melodic voice. The tone ethereal.

"...In the shadow of our sorrow, past the whispers of goodbye, the journey to the beyond has only just begun...
...The hourglass is spent, this is the final goodbye."

When the final word was said, the diamond shattered, turning into dust glowing in the moonlight. The priestess returned to her previous spot and the all stood in silence for a while. Though the funeral rites had come to an end, a new dawn greeted them then and the first rays of a new day danced over the village.

Some still remained to pay their respects, others parted to attend to their chores or find rest. One remained behind, a red-maned councilor, to see that the bodies removed with respect and prepared for the pyres on the following night, the last step on the earthly journey of the dead.

After meeting with Yashe, Rain Te'Vill and Lord Vale, Grobb writes up a letter for the attention of Councillor Feleron and the rest of the council of Doron Amar, in the hopes that now his trials, set out by Dame Yashe, have been complete, that a meeting between the elves of Doron Amar and Grobb can be arranged, with the hope that his atonement can be put to the judgement of the council, to redeem himself. Lady Rain and Lord Vale have agreed to attend the meeting to help proceedings.

For a few moments, Atria breaks her habit of sticking to the outskirts and only attending to children and whoever cares to listen to the occasional astronomy lesson. She does so to try and catch Elyssa.

The moon elf would not linger for long, merely taking a moment to deliver something before insisting she had to hurry. Soon, the short woman would return to her usual attempts at laying low./i]

Elyssa had taken it into acceptance, and would offer well wishes on Atria's departure.

A travel notice was hung for the elves and visitors coming to the Jest.
For those that travel to Baldurs Gate frequently, pray be warned that there have been werewolf attacks within the city. Two of the People have been harmed, and one of them may be hunted. They were not the only ones attacked, but if the creature indeed follows the Beastlord, then we would be a target most enticing. Make appropriate arrangements, so you are not caught off guard in the event of an attack.

For those who brave their way to Roaringshores for which reason you deemed suiting, Priestess Fierlith had given a warning:

Be warned! If you are an elf, stay away from the Shore.
You risk your life and freedom by going and getting shipped to Calimshan as a slave
for there are those who are eager to spend the coins they get from your hide.

As previously - the white haired elf that resides in the outskirts, only spending time of significance with a few that had shown interest in her tales of sea, moon and mathematics - shows herself in more of a public setting, seeking our Elyssa! She'd deliver her a small pharmplet before returning to her usual activities.

Elyssa Symbaern when returning to the village today, would ask the elves about the village that frequently travel from the northern end of the Woods of Sharp Teeth, if they saw any of the yellow lights near the orcish territories? And if they were seen elsewhere? The sun elf made note that the same lights had appeared in the Cloakwoods not long ago when there was a difficult battle fought there.

Oh so serious?

While others took care of the important and serious things, someone was put to a forced break without a task for the people lately. A male Sunelf with golden blonde hair and a famle Moonelf with blue hait could have been oberheard talking about a challenge moons ago. A small conetst, that obviuosuly was still not forgotten. So the time for frolicing about joyful things has come, the challenge was accepted!

A while later, posters and flyers could be found by each elf and those non-elves with a friends token of Doron Amar. They invite them all to hold their breath for a moment and enjoy life. An event at Spring Equinox was to come, in order to lift the spirits.

((OOC Note: The location of Doron Amar was picked for RP reasons, otherwise this event may not have taken place at all. But there may be other events in the future in more public places. Promiseed!

Attention, Attention! I had to make little Time adjustments, given the USA had their daylight savinigs already. So for our US friends it will be an hour later. Thanks for the understandng.

This little event will happen on Sunday 19th March at 19.00 GMT/ 20.00 GMt+1/ 12 PM PST/ 2 PM CST/ 3 PM EST.. There will be two hours planned for the two with the contest. But people are of course invited to join in the entertainment after as well. :) ))

The depiction of feathered steel-gray wings behind an eye rested upon pendants of sisters that moved quickly through the village bathed in the soft melody of nocturnal creatures; a stay made brief after reverence before Steelheart and Corellon iconography, meeting and visitation with very few, behavior not unlike previous visit over the past half year. Their departure through the gates always under the cloak of night, garb adjusted to withdraw their identity from prying eyes, if such eyes were able to do so.

Every once in a while the a small figure makes its way to the village. Often times the sun is already setting by the time the light steps cross the bridge. The destination is always the same – the temple platform looking over the village. A few words are exchanged with those that are still out and about at the late candlemark but when the moon is high the priestess withdraws to the platform.

...Moonlit Mystery, hear my plea.
Cast your shrouded gaze upon this settlement and fill them with dreams of hope.
Lend them strength so that they can carry on.
Be their guiding star in the dark, shining brighter than no other.
Hold them in your embrace like a mother cradles a child and spread warmth to weary bones.
Give them your Blessing, Lady of Dreams.
Healing under the blessed night and may the night bring wonders.
As the silver moonlight washes over,
with it comes the soothing touch of the Lady of Dreams....

Once the first rays of the morning sun are cast through the canopy, the figure heads out again, either towards the Greenest or going deeper into the woods.

During her periodic visit of the village, after changing from her road-intended unremarkable brown coat into a practical dress or gown of mostly silver with golden accents and the occasional feather motif, Lafali'Atria made an attempt to seek out Elyssa to deliver a letter.
