Ameris would heal the battering each time, while the man rested. He would release the gag when Herran seemed most like his old self and explain the need for it; about how a woman was harmed yesterday by the power of his voice.

Of course, should the signs of the madness manifest, Ameris would put the gag back on, frowning deeply as he does so.

A small girl, meek and without voice, appears on the doorstep of the Church of Ilmater. She is dressed in rags, clutching a bag of coin to her chest with one hand, as the other stretches out towards whomever addresses her. In her outstretched hand is a piece of paper, a letter, and as soon as it leaves her hand the girl scampers away towards the Docks, both hands now clutching the bag.

The letter states it is private, and is addressed (in very poor common) to: 'Shaytesa Umbrenthal'; with a description added for clarification: 'raven hair, glasses'.

It matters not whether Herran is lucid or not, if he is left alone in the upstairs rooms, he somehow manages to end up on the floor, where he seems quite content.

There is the sound of singing and a brief explosion of noise upstairs as the bound bard is ungagged and, after a while, has a relapse.

Shortly afterwards an upset Telia is seen departing the temple. Ameris follows soon after.

At some point, Shaytessa's Umbrynthal disappeared from the Temple of Ilmater, leaving nothing behind except a broken wooden spoon.

The bard is cured? ... The bard is beyond hope?

Music might be heard by any visiting the temple yesterday, from the upstairs rooms. A mandolin?

While it is not the prettiest or most well played, odd sounding chords and wrong notes to be sure, there is a laughter heard in accompaniment.

By the end of it all though, only Telia is seen leaving the upstairs. The bard apparently tied up again for yet another long eve.

Ameris circulates a letter to regular temple users.

Herran receives two new visitors today Narasida, offering her help and resources for anything that might be needed and a young Bardess, by the name of Rose. A nurse of Ilmater checks Herran for any signs of .... abnormality? before removing his gag to allow him to talk, but his hands and legs remain bound.

Their conversations were kept light and for the most part cheerful, Herran warning them both that should he be pressed too hard for answers, he would likely relapse. An Ilmateri nurse stood near to Herran the entire time with the gag at the ready should Herran show -any- signs of a relapse.

There was a moment when Herran stared long and hard at Rose, finally remarking that she looked very much like his mother, a tiny petite woman with silky red hair and eyes of emerald green.

As they leave Herran once again opens his mouth and accepts the gag from a very apologetic nurse.

After hearing of these visits from the Ilmateri, Ameris, with some urgency, blesses himself with true seeing. He casts detect magic throughout the upper area of temple, looking for signs of any spells cast. He then consecrates and blesses Herran's room.

It might seem a little disproportionate. He would indeed tell Herran not to worry.

Heran is once again visited by Lady Narasida. This time ,however, while being lucid, Herran is obviously living in a time long past.

He still knew who the sweet Lady was, as they have been friends for a very long time. Narasida brought flowers to lighten the fragrance and color of Herrans room. The two spent much time talking even convincing Herran to sing a song he had written to a lass he was attempting to court.

Lady Narasida finally left Herran with her best wishes and while saddened by his condition, she was happy to see Herran in such a joyous mood.

Again the priest Ameris can be going through the same ritual, blessing himself with true seeing, casting detect magic throughout the upper floor of the temple, and consecrating and blessing Herran's room.

If asked he would state he says that he is concerned about the curse on Herran, and how it might interact with others, so is ensuring the Broken God has his eyes on the temple.

the day after her last visit, again, Lady Narasida could be seen looking after the bedridden Herran Hymn.
with her she brought a nice bouquet of flowers of various colours sporting a handwritten "get well soon" card, as well as bringing a small iron kettle with her.

after replacing the flower arrangement she had brought just the day before with the current one and having some light-hearted banter, lifting Narasidas mood seeing Herran more healthy and clear of thought than just the day before, she started feeding herran some of her home made chicken soup from the small iron kettle (according to her servants the best attempt out of her 10 tries, actually passing as an average meal) before being interrupted already after feeding the first spoon by the local priest and entourage and send away.

leaving the temple she could be heared muttering about Herran being treated like a dog being send out for walksies.

Herran would not have returned to the Temple of Ilmater. Where he has been taken to, is not quite known... but it seems to have to be in an attempt to try and seek out a cure for him.

A letter is delivered to the Ilmater temple from a well-dressed courier. He boasts colors of red and gold and his smile is warm as he hands a letter over to one of the Sisters within.

"For a Sister Telia," he states as he points to the seal of the Song of the Morning on the back of the envelope to let them know the origin.
