Sure thing, Thibble here is the list:
-
BGSCC (obviously)
-
Sigil - City of Doors (reported lag spikes recently, see my screenshot below, but have a good anti-DDOS system in place; as a result their servers seem very lag-free. I tried to contact DM about the system they use but non were online.
-
Myths of Atalan high ping, no server responce (tried 3 times to connect, both servers)
-
Kingdom of Silversun has also recently been under heavy DDOS attacks (see screenshot)
SOURCES:
Sigil City Of Doors (have had a few small attacks, but have DDOS protection which seems to work)
Kingdom Of Heaven remain safe, no recent attacks
Kingdom Of Silversun have had DDOS attacks in the past (1 year ago) and seem to be getting a few now - from their ping tests; however I need to confirm this with their DM team.

I appreciate the concern but I'm a long time player on this server coming back. Just offering my assistance.

I would like to make a suggestion to the DM staff to help to combat the difficulties of this situation on an in game level.
I have DM'd in the past and have done so on servers where at times we had lag issues. I have found that in times such as those because players start to get very frustrated losing gold and experience adventuring during unstable times. That you could run some purely RP events. Like a festival or a dance. . . Or anything that is purely RP based. This gives the players a chance to gain some experience and RP and find joy on the server in these turbulent times. Without HIGH risk of losing xp and such.
I hope I do not overstep here. I am only trying to help.

I have tried this, but the lag can be so bad you are waiting upto 10 mins for the reply to come through; it can get really crazy and just as annoying - Me and a few friends were RPing at the friendly arms and I was litteraly waiting 5 mins for their reply to get through.

I am fairly sure that the Kingdom of Silversun moved to a new server within the last year that offered DDOS protection and I am also pretty sure that it has been at the least minimalized but you can ask. One thing I find interesting about the whole thing is that Haven is unscathed. But there is one person that comes to mind knowing the targets. If the DM team would like they need only contact me as the fact remains I do not know for sure that the person is guilty or not so I will not put his name out there. BUT this is right up his alley. And the targetted servers make sense as to it possibly being him.

I was just curious to know how much such protection would cost? On a monthly basis.
The reason essentially is, I have always been paying 5-10 quid for the game I use to play a lot per month, whether it was world of warcraft or ESO membership, and I would be happy to personally pay that in if it helped protect the server.
However of course if we are talking £100+ per month that is a completely different story.

I would gladly contribute to this effort as well.

The attack started early this time....and it seems like the pattern is much more erratic than the last time they attacked.

It doesn't really work when lag goes over 30 seconds (like yesterday). If you try to walk, you'll just be randomly teleporting over the map and it will be very hard to keep track of any conversation.

I think it would be a better idea if DM/Admin team offiicially contacted silversun to ask how they handled their DDOS.
Starting a witch hunt might not be a good idea, because it is always possible to get a wrong guy.
Another thing that comes to mind that in the past someone was ddosing Neverwinter MMO servers. Or so I heard. Makes me wonder if attacker is a kid with a grudge against Nwn MMO and just got wrong server list.

The attack that were occurring about six months ago usually stopped after a certain time. Usually it was about 19-20:00 GMT. These seems to be almost any time I try to log in.

Is the server down again? Its not even appearing on the list for me and direct connect is not working.
edit: just got in, but it appears the server did go down (it had only been up about an hour and a half so definitely wasn't a reset).
