Possible, but this week is off for students in my area as well. Friday is a stat holiday and Monday some companies and schools still give off.

We are currently considering a number of ways to combat the problem. We are also in regular communication with many (probably a majority) of the other NWN2 server administrators.
While the care and effort being shown in here is certainly appreciated, there probably will not be dramatic changes overnight.
Please bear with us regardless, as best as you are able. But as Thids suggests, don't let yourself get frustrated. There are a lot of great games out there that you can enjoy with your gaming time -- and if you really need your NWN2 fix, there are several other great servers that are not currently seeing attacks, and can offer you a more stable gaming experience while we work through the rough patches here.
Just don't forget to come home when you're done exploring.

Now seriously. My apologies for contributing to the madness already created by these attacks. I recognize I was a bit frustated when I wrote my previous post.

*sighs* We are getting attacked on a Tuesday! No Palm Beach for our hacker friend it's all ddos attacks from a tiny dark room. Bring back the investigation, I want to see this guy go down!

...set the server to restart when ever there is a high load DDOS attack?
once the scripting detects that it no longer has a connection to a server wouldn't it break off?
Or maybe setup the router itself to reset? (is that possible)?
