At some point the Elven mage Sirion walks by and lights a candle as well, and spends a pensive moment in silence before he moves on.
"They're just furry and misunderstood."
"Is that why you are killing them?"
"Yes. They will atone in death."
"Ah. That will help them understand."

Koryeneer approaches the candle vigil in full priestly regalia of grey and black robes with a scarlet red sash about his waist as he does his step slows for only a moment as he composes himself fighting back the sadness and anger of his fellow in Hoar and kinsman of Everlund had been slain. As he steps up to the little lights each ablaze like fairies in the night he comes to his knees. A deep breath and he begins to pray. It is not loud or boisterous but those in ear shot would hear it just fine.........
My Lord Hoar. He who commands eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth. The holder of the spirit of true justice and says vengeance is mine. He who tips the scales the right direction for evil deeds. Hear me! Hear my cry to you. Your chosen on this mortal path lord. One of our own has been slain. Taken by vile deed and commanded by foul hand that she be brought out of this world lord. This deserves nothing less than a swift action lord and I pray that you set in motion through my hand the course of true justice for her murderer and those that commanded it!
His prayer finished he gets up looking for a moment at the picture and each candle so many of them.....He lights a candle of his own and places a two headed coin at the base of it then a dark look crosses his features the sadness given way to anger at this point he mutters a few more words and then leaves.
Mother Night...This was you and your vile hand. I know it. You will pay. Hunters is coming for you. I swear it.
As he steps off to put to action his oath and prayer it might be said that far off in the distance a single toll of thunder could be heard.....but this is only a rumor of course and word travels fast and not always completely correct.......

"We should take the army head on!"

"And he just sounds so confident ... he is a favored soul."

The Intense and oft shirtless hooded form, approaches from the exit, he arrived late to the event, while dusk into the evening liked to take on the hue of the sky, eerie red eyes glow with an almost anger to them more then anything that could be considered a gentler emotive. The sea breeze wafts his cloak gently and he looks down over the memorial set up for his friend.
Whether stood alone at the vigil set up or no, he didn't speak for the longest time, his expressionless visage, scowling it's perpetual scowl, Styx shakes his head in protest and splays a hand over the set up in defiance. "What sham is this? Whose idea was it to make remembrance for the early departed? Are they so eager to count her gone? Pah!, This life is no over til we've kissed the dirt and I see no shovelling!"
Styx the Tiefling clenched a fist at his side, as anger, the only real emotion he managed to still remotely show manifest on his whole being. "Time to wake up to the haze, Wren, Vengeance to be had.. This is not over."The closest thing to a Hoarite prayer he could make. With that he spun about, letting his blood cool away his anger, he stalks off into the evening back out the gate he came with a purposeful stride, never once looking back.

On the late evening a man comes by to the memorial. His stern face was emotionless and his clothing simple. Some could recognize him as one of the servants of the enclave. In his hands there was a metal bowl covered with piece of cloth.
Not minding anybody who might have observing him, he slowly placed the bowl between the candles and removed the cloth from it. After that he moved back and returned to the place of his origin.
The bowl was filled with sand, and on it's surface there was resting a chunk of salt.

Posters are spreading over the city. In the most frequented places theey will be found. Freya even put a hand on this herself and helped to hang out the self outlined and painted works of art.
A grey-haired cleric identifying herself as Ollana of the Even-Handed has been sighted around the East Gate and Noble Districts of Baldur's Gate, asking for information on the recent history of legal precedents and proceedings in the city. She has also been petitioning the relevant authorities for visibility of any transcripts relating to trials in the last few years.
If asked if this is about the recently murdered woman, she would express condolences to the questioner, but assure them that the timing of her arrival in the city is unrelated to the death of the late Herald. She appears to be sincere in this regard. She further pleads that justice be left to the correct legal authorities and that no good comes of vengeance.

Active Llengar Hammerstock - A principled thug. Elspeth Dharvoon - A reformed character? (Biography)
Almost two tendays of tireless work within the Halls of Inner Light, by the unified congregation of all seven deities revered therein, finally comes to fruition as the first shipment for the Hellrider encampment is dispatched.
Silken bandages and threads, along with needles and scissors, transformed in to high quality bandages bathed in holy water and ritually blessed by the various priests and priestesses. Daerlunian linen and woolen flax spun in to blankets and sleeping bags, compatible bedrolls and sheet tents, provided with tent poles of duskwood and iron tent pegs. Various potions of healing and restoration have additionally been procured by the clergy members in large quantities, or donated by allies and friends, along with a whole crate full of vials containing holy water. Satchels of various herbs and plants that have been freshly picked within the last tenday, are packed and prepared as well, with the various plants converted to poultices and other easily applied medicament's.
As the busy days and preparations had continued, temple members were seen bringing in large amounts of fresh water in barrels or water-skins, and long-life bread freshly purchased from the city's bakers, along with salted meat and fish processed for longevity.
On the evening of the 21st of Ches the temple halls are buzzing with life, as many volunteers and faithful gather to assist in the final preparations and lending some muscle for the heavy lifting as the wagons are loaded and made ready.
Under cover of first moonlight and with a contingent of knights as escort, the handful of temple members and their benefactors, the Darius Holding Company, make their way out the north gate and east along the farmlands, over the ride and towards Triel.

*Luke, dressed in the typical red and black silks, sporting a large wolf hide over his shoulders and a wide-brimmed hat pulled low towards his face, could be seen moving through the city with his head held high, tacking up a poster on the billboard in the East Gate District over the old notice. A few would be passed out by hand as well, the man smiling warmly as he goes.*

A cold icy visage of a women can be seen walking to the docks with a trail of chilling visible air following her. A pack slung over her shoulder rests adjacent to a glowing icy staff, flaking with small snow flakes. The women can be identified as Nezkreal Sezifear.
Attatched to her wrist is a leash connected to a large pig. She is seen walking to the boat with her pig trotting proudly behind her. The two stop at the docks before boarding the boat and sailing off into the night
Luke makes the rounds again, tacking up a new poster over top the old one, humming a jolly tune as he does.
In many thanks to competitors and their artistic endeavor our standing order for troll hides was filled quite successfully and in short order. Our client was very pleased and has their current need for troll hides satisfied. As such we are not offering any further bounties.
On a completely unrelated point, if anyone seeks to melt down large sums of less valuable foreign gold currency into proper trade bars I do have contacts. From experience, it does work well with the less valuable and more suspect eastern currency.

An older man with slicked back white hair and a long grey beard put up a notice on the board.
Druidic Orc followed by a blood stealing cultist has been sighted murdering the helpless on the tradeway. This orc disguises itself as a mercenary. So far it has killed two elves and speaks about attacking the Friendly Arm inn. It can be seen in dire wolf form scoping out its victims. This orc is not to be trusted, as it is extremely dangerous. A price of 20,000 gold has been raised to remove it from these lands.
