Whispers are heard being shared in small groups..
A voice of surprise cuts in.
"Wait.. she's dead...?"
A second can't hold back his tongue...
"Who... the girl?"
The third voice chimes in excitedly....
"No... the dragon..."

Rumors spread of stolen pricelists of all renowned merchants in and around the Gate. It seems the deed was done by street kids. Two were supposedly caught within Sorcerous Sundries and brought in by the flaming first.

Only hours later reports are made that the pricelists have returned to their owners mysteriously in the protection of the dark night.

A rumor filters through the more learned, scholarly and historically minded lore masters of the Gate, that a Caed Wynter-Rose seeks any true knowledge about the island off Ulgoth's Beard, where the bilberry can be found...as well as the sea-land beasts known as the Sauhaugin.
This youthful Wynter-Rose character, it is said, offers five thousand coins for any grounded, truthful history. As well, if there is a master of language that can speak the tongue of these Sahaugin, he would like to make their acquaintance, possibly employ them for a mission of diplomacy.
All parties wanting to gain this offer of coin are directed to seek Caed Wynter-Rose at the Blade & Stars Inn.

A rumor spread from the Blade & Stars Inn along a path leading to the Shelf of Many Books, that some members of The Windspell guild of adventurers, were either looking for or in possession of, something called the Seven Son.
Strangely, or not...no one who spoke the rumor could say what a Seven Son actually was!

The merchant and retired adventurer Tanithe Harfourt has taken a greater interest in the precious cargo returning to Baldur's Gate from the archipelago of Selune's Bracelet. With rumour spreading of the loss of his business interests in Tethyr due to the Interregnum, he has been speaking to various characters regarding the possibility of a joint venture to capitalise on this new discovery. How he expects to fund this venture is, as yet, a topic he avoids as deftly as he is able.

An Umberlee Priestess arrived in Baldur's Gate not even a tenday ago. Perle Wynn has been seen in several establishments in the Gate, including the Blushing Mermaid, The Minstrel's Muse and is staying at the Helm and Cloak. Other than staying at the Helm, she's spending most of her time in the Harbor District.
Her attempts to extract tribute from people in the city have been somewhat successful, with a follower of Selune even accepting a blessing from the Queen of the Depths. Word on the street is she's waiting for the right time to visit Water Queen's House to make a formal visit to the Umberlant temple.

The Monster

Sailors are tough but also superstitious; because in the inhospitable waters of Umberlee superstition can save lives, superstition is the teaching of those who survived. Teachings that must not be forgotten for those who want to enjoy a new day, a new bottle of rum.
Harpies and sirens are terrible creatures that lure sailors to their doom in the reefs. But, what about in the land? Sailors are sea inhabitants; they feel uncomfortable, dizzy and unprotected in dry land. A good bunch of them find shelter in the inns of the docks, and in the depths of their mugs. And a few have recently encountered a monster they did not know. They affirm that coming out from the inn, during the witching hour, in a dark alley they have seen a buxom beauty calling them, tempting them. Staggering and stumbling they approached the alley. However all of them assure that what they have found in that dark alley was not a stunning beauty but a terrible unknown monster with an evil endless smile, dark eyes with sparkling emeralds on its socket and pointy ears; with glowing wings and sharp fangs and claws.
No one remember what happened that very night, but the terror they felt. And, to those who doubt of their word, they show them the big scratches on their chest.

There was apparently a recent scuffle outside the Order off the Radient Heart near the East Gate. It would appear members of the Order and some allies disagreed with something regarding a man who had safe passage through the chapterhouse granted, then revoked. The hostilities started when It was learned the head of the Order was going to have this man, supposedly a Thayan... , put to death with no trial or formal charges.
The group who disagreed managed to gain entry long enough to spirit the prisoner away from what they called "unjust punishment". It's not clear how 5 managed to survive such an act against the force within the walls, but they did. Somehow.

A flash of magical fire can be spotted atop the Thayan Enclave Tower soon followed by The enclave's personel's shout and heavy footsteps.
The enclave is locked down, a normal procedure after the Enclave is attacked.

In the harbour after two tendays of repair the Wanderess seems almost ready to set sail again and word of mouth travels that new sailors could make some decent coin if they're not afraid of traveling far.
