Damn....I don't know if the ddos have ever been this relentless. Every morning noon & night all week?
Yep! This is how the troll rust monster rolls! I just log into my Skyrim account and check back daily to see if it has stopped. This person is obviously throwing a tantrum or just likes to do this shite as a pass time. There is absolutely nothing we can do about it if the person wants to DDOS they will.

The server has been playable so far during euro morining. I guess that is when he is sleeping. (I can't imagine a "she" would do such a thing).

Are we being DDos'd now?

Edit: Wanted to quote something from last years attack, I think they have a valid point. ((see bottom bit, in bold)) Taken from:

DOS
The most easily executed type of DoS attack is one that is launched from a single origin. In this attack, a single machine somewhere on the Internet issues a barrage of network requests against a targeted victim machine.

DDOS (IE Bot-Net)
Where does an attacker even get thousands of machines to launch a DDoS? Distributed Denial of Service attacks are executed by a so-called botnet – a collection of computers around the world infected with an attacker's malware.

Malware infections can install silent software on a victim machine which places it under the control of a remote attacker. Successful botnets can be comprised of hundreds of thousands of infected machines, typically without the owners' knowledge. There big money in creating botnets – among other things, botnet creators rent out their creations to criminal enterprises who can use them to launch a DDoS.

Large-scale DDoS attacks are not random. The perpetrators choose their victim deliberately, either due to a grudge, revenge, or an attempt to bully them into meeting some demands – possibly including paying extortion. Renting a botnot to launch a DDoS can cost about $100 per day, so the duration of an attack is partially dependent on how well-funded the attacker.

Can a DDoS be stopped?

Let's start with the bad news: It is very difficult to defend against a sophisticated DDoS attack launched by a determined adversary.

Many organizations struck by a DDoS are left to scramble in an effort to stop the attack once it has already begun. Sometimes this requires coordination with the ISP that provides network access. This is especially true when an ISP is forced to "null route" a victim – meaning that to protect other customers, the ISP routes traffic intended for the victim into the trash. This of course effectively prevents all access, including from legitimate users.

Pretty much, as we sit here lets all think about the last time we updated and scaned our computers (or servers) for maleware. Does you granny have a computer that shes never updated. Are you (like me) one of the people that hates virus protection programs cause it slows down your gaming rig. Basically its like the global warming crisis. A ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

I did not mean litteraly... this is the kind of thing I do to all trolls. If they are going to troll me then I see no reason not to troll them back. If you had the same history with trolls as I do you would understand why I hate them as much as I do. Having these trolls come onto multiplayer games and make fun of groups like the disabled, the mentally ill, and or people who are having emotional issues ticks me off to no end. How many people have trolls caused to commit suicide? I had friends who did just that because of people like Mr. Ddos! I made a oath to treat trolls as the garbage they are. This person is purposely being a troll and I consider troll hunting season open.

It's a form of Trolling, they generally *want* people to get angry at them. Because that's surely a sign of a healthy mind.

Oh im not angry... not at all. I don't really get angry anymore, ive been through so much stuff that I know hardship will come. Mr. Ddos is not the first troll I have dealt with and he wont be the last. Trolls will happen... and when they do I will be there to take them down a notch. Honestly his pathetic attempt at annoying me amuses me more then anything else. There are plenty of other things I can do during his attacks and eventually the server will have protection against them. I am patient... I can wait.
