Adventurers help to stop muggings, thefts and even volunteer to heal the sick and give people food. The mood is still foul. A street thug lair is assaulted by a huge adventuring party, temporarily halting the thug activities. A lone bandit stumbles outside of the hideout, the only survivor of the fierce struggle. The city is lucky to have people who volunteer their lives like that to save others.

During the day, several posters are put up in noticeable places throughout the city of Baldur's Gate by a priest of Lathander wearing a golden-trimmed white robe.

*A woman in grey, wearing a death mask is routinely seen in the docks gathering the bodies of the dead in one of the warehouses left empty due to the blockade. Uttering soft prayers to consecrate the grounds and warding them from rising as the undead.

Some are left in the pyres blazing, which are keept stoked through divine fires. Though instead of casting them carelessly they are laid down with as much dignity as can be managed.

Before dragging away each body she can be seen planting two white gloved fingers to the lips of her mask and then down on their foreheads. Whispering a soft litany to each of the dead before carrying their earthly remains away.*

A call for aid of able hands

Volunteers are needed for an intrusion into the docks in attempts to suppress the spread of the disease. Those able to administer to the diseased, and those with able strength to move large weights and ensure peace is maintain are necessary for any success to be wrought.

You will be subject to conditions where you will be in contact with those inflicted with the disease, and where humanity is faced with depravity. Provisions will be ensured that volunteers do not fall victim to the disease. I ask only of those of the strong gutted, faltering in commands will undermined any success.

We gather at the Temple of Ilmater hour 21:30 on the 28th of Hammer. It is requested that volunteers dress in nothing heavier than leathers. Manual labour will be expected, and it is not war we bring to the docks.

Rumor spreads that a mob of upset sailors, angry about being stuck in the Docks District of Baldur's Gate due to the plague quarantine in the city, gathered near the docks, and near dead plagued bodies, complaining and moaning, nearing violence, about not being allowed to leave. Some adventurers upon finding out the Fist was not removing all plague taken corpses from the streets of the city district, started doing it themselves, dumping the bodies in a small purchased rowboat and burning and blessing the boat into the bottom of the harbor. Later on, one upset sailor was seen jumping into the harbor, apparently trying to drown himself in the Baldur's Gate harbor out of frustration of being trapped in the quarantined Docks District. It seemed the adventurers were unable to save him from dying of water filled lung after successfully rescuing him from the water.

A man dressed in bardic fashion, wielding a drum...wielding a beat that vibrates the core of those caught in its undulating rhythm, walks the line of quarantine, half-singing a spoken word of resistance....:
  • Again and again
Those will a mind of only themselves, proving to themselves their own worth....
    Do as only they please...intrude!
And as they say in writing....INTRUSION!

And so it is, they enter our home district
Not honoring the House that exists there...
The House that has given cure and shelter to those that give Tribute!

The Docks are of the people that reside there...
Meddling do-goeders...those that BROUGHT the disease to you
    Now walk into our home...

And they do so without Tribute...to the Queen...

But is not only this tribute do they fail to give...
It is failure to ALL the other houses that live from the harbor
Those known...and those that go unknown....

    Words have power, citizens...
Regard the word INTRUSION with suspect!

Seek the House that has served you weeks now, the Queen that rewards Tribute
For this House will remain...when these sycophants fade away...
Once they have fulfilled their selfish needs...

Mark my words! It WILL happen!

A blue-robed woman delivers a letter to the Order of the Radiant Heart compound, instructing them that it is to be given to Paladin Erza of Sune at the earliest available opportunity. She then returns back into the city via the Eastern Gate and returns to her Temple. Later in the day copious amounts of incense may be smelt emanating from the Temple of Mystra along with the muffled sound of chanting.

*entry in Sani's journal, probably OOC to most*
2015-02-13:
After many plague rats emerged on the streets again, I went into the sewers again with a party along with Terri, Cela, and some guy I forgot the name of.

Anyway, we once again found the rats fleeing progressively more dangerious undead rats, terminating in a massive undead rat who seemed to be spreading the plague.

When we killed that massive rat the air did seem to clear up again.

However, the maggots showed up again. I think the maggots are somehow contributing to the larger and more disfigured rats. There presence in the massive rat makes me wonder if there is some final, epic monster lurking somewhere below the city.

The blue-robed priestess makes a quick stop over in the Harbour district looking for Ameris of Ilmater. She finally finds him in the company of the Harbour relief effort lead by one Sveta of Helm and gives him two more wands of Remove Disease with which to aid their efforts. She tarries in the warehouse for a short while before leaving to attend her other temple duties.

Several people of various faiths and backgrounds were seen gathering at the Temple of Ilmater to prepare to venture into the Docks again in a larger number than the last effort made to aid the sick. Supplies were brought by many and then distributed among each other, so everyone was able to either cure disease with spells, healing kits, potions or wands. A mysterious woman joined the group, bringing in a rather large quantity of supplies as well. A Flaming Fist escort was also provided and the group were able to freely move through the Docks, displaying several banners of Ilmater.

They moved to a warehouse, setting down supplies inside and built make-shift altars with signs outside and then relying on the word of those cured to bring news to other citizen. The stream of the sick who needed to be cured was much more controlled at the entrance and with Flaming Fist standing guards. Several cats served as helpers too, in taking care of rats which carried the sickness.

After a long day with many sick, the group managed to cure most but at the end, some had to be turned away as all supplies the group had come with were on end. Donations given to the Temple of Ilmater had been used to gather many of those supplied used. It was estimated that at least 1000 people were cured in the warehouse. A few people who looked as if they were starving, were given an amount of grain - a small relief to get through the day.
