A hooded Elf walks up, making his way to the crowd surrounding a tiefling and dwarf. Quietly, he searches the list of items and his eyes rest upon an ordinary looking Longsword.

"Greetings. Is this longsword still for sale?" He points to the cold iron longsword with +1 vampiric regeneration.

"If so, may I bid 30 bags on it?"
"Are you Thor? God of Hammers?"

From his own belted sheath, he displays for the Goldhands to see, a dagger of exquisite make.

"Goldhands, I would be careful in taking my latest offer...it may very well bring the attention of Abbathor himself upon you...."

A gasp ripples through the crowd as the dwarf unsheaths the dagger and the tiefling shifts his weight from foot to foot as the appraiser analyzes the dagger's dweomers. When the appraiser finishes and announces the properties of the dagger, the tiefling nods slowly in appreciation.

"A fine dagger, to be sure. Let us see which bid the seller values more highly before I make any counter offers."

////I would like to hear how Karond values the two bids before bidding any further.

Raston examines the the Goldhands wagon filled with items.
With an enormous respect he approaches the dwarves.
"Such a selection as you can show here today is simply astonishing.
I must admit I'm awe struck and don't really know where to begin."

He chuckles a bit before sending them a smile.
"I think I will start with an offer on your fine Falchion.
I see you didn't accept an offer of 300.000 made earlier so I will offer a trade instead for you to consider.
It is a pair of worn boots but don't let that fool you.
It's protected with the highest protection imaginable."

He presents them a pair of boots to examine and awaits their response.

The Thayan Khazark frowns, as many days passed since he placed a bid.

"Am I being ignored on purpose, or have you not seen my bid?"

As the Tiefling waits for the auctioneer to reply, the sound of approaching hooves can be heard along the trade road. The sound draws nearer until a rearing hose, covered in lather, canters into the merchants encampment.

"Master Hawthore, I'm looking for a Master Hawthorne!" says the rider as he attempts to quiet his mount.

The tiefling turns to regard the newcomer and says, "I am Ashe Hawthorne. What business do you have with me?"

"A message for you sir," replies the horseman, dismounting. He quickly crosses the encampment and delivers a sealed envelope to the tiefling. Bowing he says, "Forgive me, but the sender begs that you answer immediately. I am not to return without your reply."

The tiefling breaks the seal and reads the letter, his brow furrowing and countenance darkening. He looks back to the auctioneer and the kama before turning to the messenger and saying, "I will ride with you. This is an urgent matter indeed." He turns to the auctioneer and says, "I regret that I must withdraw my bid. A matter of the upmost import has been brought to my attention." Turning to the one eyed dwarf he says, "It appears to be your lucky day, master dwarf."

The tiefling turns, leaps to the drivers seat of the wagon and follows the rider away from the merchant's encampment.

"Bah!" exclaims the dwarf...and this time, the timber of voice seems particular surprised. "What sort of foul tainted-blood devil-child trick this being? Me aint's got the prettiest of mugs—more dan most dwarf, aye, dat be true—but I'd never done scare away a crude trader as dis one, with nothin' but words."

The dwarf ponders, in his momentary confusion of what to do next.

"Me needs to think...me needs to think..."

The one-eyed dwarf takes his stumpy self up to the Friendly Arm Inn tavern proper, and orders a number of ales...and starts thinking. He knows the auction can sit for some time...as it already has.

I must apologize master dwarves. It seems my layout is also getting a decent look at as well give me a moment to move my stuff a bit away to not disturb your fine assortment.

*Kory spends hours moving each piece in fine array to a spot well enough away to give the dwarves their space after finishing he takes a moment to return*

Regarding my prior bid. Well it seems I may have a line on a suit from another person and as such I would change my bidding to this. I will match the lasses bid of a 150 trade bars and also offer the fine jewel collection with the last two pieces of mithral armor I posses for the shield of fine quality that helps to turn back the undead.

////Sorry it seems my goods attracted others fully unintentional. I am offering to match Hidenka in gold for the Heavy Shield +4 with bonus feat extra turning and then give on top of that these items.

The priest notes the valuation with a small nod. He grimaces, pensive.

"Three hundred and eighty thousand is all I got for the sword sold, along with some lesser items sold a while back. I can offer this, plus the boots, if that is acceptable. "

He would await the word of the merchant
