The hin rolled up her sleeping mat and tied it against her pack again, departing as quietly as she came, but with a rather mischevious smirk on her face nonetheless.

A half elf walks upon the crowded stall. Waiting patiently for his turn, he peruses the wares, smiling a bit at two particular pieces.

"Would you accept 40 bags each for these two items?" He points to the

Helm, Wisdom +3, Intelligence +2

and

Robe, AC +4

Noticing the items for trade to his left, he spots a particular ring of interest then makes a quiet offer.

"100 minimum for the helm, 40 for the robes is acceptable. If the bids remain unchanged for two days, then they are yours."

They then talk more privately about the ring.

It glows with the light of Lathander! I feel this amulet was made for just me!
His eyes light up and as he beams a smile.

Draviir looks at the man quietly as he speaks, then looks him up and down. "You say you haven't got much coin and yet your armour would say otherwise. Not only is 22 bags not enough, it is an insult. This isn't a charity and your god holds no weight here. Now you got two options - raise your bid to 400 bags or piss off before I decide to pull this blade out!"

Surely you cannot be serious?.. Even for a protector of the realms?... Well what of this one then..
His hand points to a basic +3 amulet covered in dirt.

Got two pieces of the warrior set I can throw in also. Got a scimtar with toughness. And some really good stats I know its not made anymore (grandfather in)

I'm aware of the Avernus prices as you well know. However the +4 amulets cost 500k+. Unless your paladin has dubious connections or is willing to travel and trade in Hell, he won't likely find cheaper than my 400k. My asking prices will vary per customer as Draviir is on the shady side. Holy types (and also Orc kin) will find it a touch more expensive to deal with him ...

Edit: It also would've been a great opportunity to use Leslie Nielsen's great line of "I am serious, and don't call me Shirley."

After a day or so, the same half elf returns. "It seems the Lord of Spells has blessed me with a ring to serve the purpose I needed your helm for. I will withdraw my bid for the helmet, good merchant, but my bid on the robes still stands if you allow it."

The same half elf returns to check on his bid. After perusing the wares a second time, he points to the +3 dex helm. "And how much for this one?" he says as he eyes the headpiece

Draviir frantically notes down the bids. He looks satisfied with most stating, "The following items can be bought immediately if you are satisfied with the price."
