Re: Rumors & Events of the Sword Coast, North...of Baldur's
Increased acitivty might be noticed at the Ebon Blade fort in Soubar as a call for quarrymen, woodcutters, carpenters, masons and laborers is put out by the Mercenary Company.
Scaffolding goes up around the edifice, and work crews can be seen busily coming and going. Among the din of cosntant work, rumors begin to spread of the excellent pay offered by the mercenaries; twice what Baldurians are known to make for such work.

Re: Rumors & Events of the Sword Coast, North...of Baldur's
Recently heard some travelers discussing a dead body they came across near the northern area of Thunder Ride heading towards the bridge. The body had been tortured, was still bound, and had his throat slit. The culprit had even left their calling card stuffed in the dead man's mouth.

With a flash of light; a Crimson figure, followed by another hooded figure, appeared in Soubar, moving swiftly through the streets. On looker might have noticed the two figures meeting with a group of other mercenaries.

A blue hooded figure delivers a parcel late in the night to the Ebon Blade Fort in Soubar.

A similar letter is tacked up in Mag's tavern.

The contents of the inner scrolls are as follows:

Michael Dunn
“There is more than one sort of prison, Captain," Chirrut said. "I sense that you carry yours wherever you go.”

Flyers are speading again. They invite everyone who wants to bid their farewells to Adelaide van de Saer. They are hung out by Freya and also given to Ronja and helpers who want to support. It seems, this is no usual furneral service, it is more of a last celebration with the paladin of Sune.

*Small bands of drow are seen traveling around the Soubar area, moving in small yet effective teams. The drow would avoid contact with any adventurers, but they seem set on a purpose to the south of Soubar, rapidly moving in that region and vanishing in groups, yet the groups just seem to keep coming.*

While hunting in the lands surrounding Soubar, Korgak notices multiple tracks heading to the south. He leans down to get a closer look while carefully sniffing the air, trying to pick up on a scent. After a few moments of studying the tracks, he stands up and quickly heads off in the direction of Uruk Lurra.

A black clad figure who just so happened to be in the vicinity carefully and quietly observed some of the passing drow, taking note of their attire and any insignia. Under the cover of darkness, vegetation and invisibility, standing very still until there was an opening to remove himself from the area.Israe wrote:*Small bands of drow are seen traveling around the Soubar area, moving in small yet effective teams. Re: Rumors & Events of the Sword Coast, North...of Baldur's
Rumors quickly spread of a tense scene in front of the Ebon Blade fort.
Representatives of Baldur's Gate had apparently come to Soubar to negotiate for the handing over of a prisoner.
This prisoner was none other than the notorious 'Golden Wolf', apprehended by members of the Ebon Blade with the aid of a few others in Ulgoth's Beard.
Lieutenant Blackwolf, Sergeant Drogo and Recruit Zhaven met with the dignitaries, who demanded the return of 'their' prisoner. The response was perhaps less than diplomatic, as they were plainly told that the prisoner was never theirs to begin with. Tense moments passed as both sides wondered what repercussions this might have....
The diplomats then offered a substantial sum for turning over the prisoner, which the Lieutenant agreed to... after the Blades had done their questioning, of course.
The tensions dissipated as the prisoner was brought forth and sold to Baldur's Gate, and things quickly returned to what is considered normal in Soubar.

The Magus Zahven Thruel may have been overheard within Soubar, hiring green adventurers for tasks unknown. He was, in particular, looking for someone capable of handling locks and traps, as well as several hired blades. He has taken small bands of adventuring types out into the wilds.. most of which have returned.
For now the rumors have it that adventurers eager for work may do well in Soubar.

Thunder's Ride

Stripped bare of it's leaves by an unholy storm, a huge oak along Thunder's Ride trail now wears the dismembered remains of hundreds of bugbears. While the pinkskins put on costumes for a ball, Kro'gi No'Dyer and A'Dez Dakagog gave a new face to the huge tree. Blood drips like rain under the gruesome totem leaving the ground beneath it a smelly mud and blood soup that can be smelled from across the hills.
Was this a warning to the bugbears? No. This is another totem of violence in the growing new worship of the orc gods.
Bring the Violence, Deliver the Fear!

Bad Omens wrote: Orc warriors begin to gather around the meteor impact site. The angry, disaffected youth of the village at first begin to meander about, snorting and grunting amongst each other. Then the storm shaman and blood caster step forward to address the gathering. Those held back by years of neglect, angry at their status hiding within the barren hills of the north while others traverse the borders they once held as their right to conquer now listen to the vehement and inflammatory words of the clerics. Suddenly cries go out and the crowd begins to beat, circle and frenzy. A portal is opened, and a tree opened for the beasts to enter and disappear into the night. Where this host of blood raged orcs is to go and what is to transpire is beyond reckoning, the only thing known is that destruction is meant to follow. May the Gods help those whom are in the path of the Uruk this night!
((Event to be held this Wednesday, 24:00 GMT and 8pm EST for all *evil and chaotic* Orc characters, meeting at Uruk Lurra to start))
