The message had already been sent. If he could predict that dragons were on the way, then it's safe to assume he could also foresee Queen D's lack of clairvoyance.

The dragons would have come within javelin range whether the group was dead or not, either to save them or get revenge upon seeing their skewered corpses.

Going to buy the Night King a copy of Sun Tzu's 'The Art of War'.
What a scrub.

::edit:: It's possible that he only had a few of the special javelins, and thus had to save them for WMD gettin'

Seems like there is a sadistic side to the Night King. He seems as much interested in breaking the will of his victims, as he does their physical bodies. Perhaps his power his fed by terror and terrorism his real aim. From the very first episode, the Walker left the one Night Watch witness alive to flee, after terrorizing him through the brutality of slaughtering his companions. I always wondered why? Then, the Night King did not pursue John Snow and the Wildlings after Hardhomme.....

I think there is a reoccurring theme here....

I also am beginning to wonder if it was the Red Lady that raised John truly, or if it had something to do with Longclaw as well

Personally I wished Bronn would've killed the dragon in episode 4.

Bronn Dragonslayer, would've been awesome for this great character. :)

Epic guy.

I can still only say, the pacing is quite rushed lately. Do not get me starting on the travelling time, the pointlessness of greyscale etc.
And for quite a while it also really shows, that book material (aka really good dialogue) is somewhat missing.

I agree. I get budget constraints and what-not, and the plot they inherited probably had lots of dangly bits. The main thing that bugs me is ravens being treated like messenger app. I feel like Bran's greenseering ability is being neglected, he's just sitting in Winterfell staring.

It's already Thursday and there's been no episode leak.

:(

I'm starting to think it won't happen at all.

And oddly enough not even telling the other Starks (alright, he is the TER now) about Littlefinger...

Perhaps because he see's a part left for LF to play...

Yes--I can only think he knows that he needs to let it play out. However, we still don't really know the extent of what he sees or what he can do. He pulled that "chaos is a ladder" bit out, but it was unclear whether he was indicating omnipresence, or if it was just something he sort of remembered in the moment. I wish I could get inside his head like the novels.

It's also possible he's planned this with Arya and Sansa, and they're playing LF, but I think it would be hugely unfair and cheesy for that to happen out of shot.

Yeah as much as I enjoy the shows I really can't wait until the next book comes out (finally)...

In a way I'm glad the show's diverged so much from what the books will probably be. I know I shouldn't grumble despite my reservations about S7 overall. I mean, mainstream TV with a dracolich, c'mon. :)

How can you be all mysterious if you just go telling everyone their true history and other stuff they don't know? Part of being the most knowledgeable guy in the room is not imparting your knowledge to the other people in the room! :P

Or perhaps more likely it's some stuff about not accepting the truth when it is told to you and instead needing to come to the conclusion yourself.

Bran knows J and D won't get together if they know they're aunt and nephew.

I think this should be shared here:

To cut it short, everything in Westeros in twice as big to make passage of time make sense...

Instead of just saying that their measurement units are twice as short. You know, instead of measuring a feet as the length from toes to heel, it is the width from little toe to big toe.
