A costumed crowd attended a charity gala auction near the city fairgrounds.

Some revelers stayed for music and dancing until the event concluded.

For some, the festivities were a family affair!

After the majority of items being auctioned, the young Sailor, known to some as Mick, masked, was seen left muttering after losing in a game of bidding.

What none could see, however, was the widest smirk underneath the cowl he had wrapped around his head...

For some week now a priest of Ilmater had been staying in the town center preaching of the dangers that necromancers, witches and vampries presented to the city underneath it. Each day he would take the pulpit and promise to bring a end to these fiends. Perhaps some would heed his call to be careful at night and others would just pass him off. Yet no one seemed to notice much when he stopped being there at the pulpit preaching......

Image

On the day he was to disappear Leoroar Swordhand cleric of Ilmater was last seen headed into the Eastern sewers with a silver gleaming mace in hand. His cloak of Ilmater bright white and emblazoned with the symbol of his god in full view as he stepped into the dark corridors beneath. He would work his way under invisible spell deeper past the thieves as they were not his target. Let the Fist handle them. Upon finding a altar deep in the sewers he breaks the spell and challenges the vampire and other necromancers to mortal combat. The fight was swift for poor Leoroar had overstepped even his gods granted power to him. The world for him went dark and only to wake up hungry...so very hungry the lifeless husk of the once proud Leoroar shambled on deeper into the sewers feasting on thieves.......

While the two ladies handed out the flyers, a thrid passes by. Armed with a bunch of big scrolls she waves to them and smiles:
"Great work, girls. Thank you for the help."

Then Freya unrolls and hangs out the posters she carries around. There will be heard rumours of another donation event, that was planned. Now the theatre makes it happen.
This event is to be connected with the bake sale even, they say. Two charirty events in a row this tenday, an open stage night is planned to follow the first bake sale. Though donations might be collected, still some nice coins for the winner will be waving at the same time.

A woman in salt-caked peasant's garb has been frequenting the Docks, haranguing passers by loudly with tales of watery doom.

"All should fear the Queen of the Deeps! No place is far enough inland to escape Her wrath! Tithe! Tithe and tithe again, seafarers, lest you face one of Her glorious Reapings!

My Nadim was lax in his prayers! Too mean with his offerings! Now he joins the ranks of the Drowned, he and our boy and every other hand onboard!

Allow Her almighty terror to wash over the blasphemer! The infidel! Those who would rather pray to a Northlander or place their faith in the distant moon when the waves roil beneath their quaking feet!

Tithe, my friends! Tithe to the Water Queen! Tithe! Tithe generously and often, or be doomed!"

A note is hung up on the board in the East Gate district.

[parchment]Seeking Unlikely People

- A scribe of druidic spells.
- A scribe of divine spells.
- A reader of minds.
- Mages who wish to engage in mageduels for practice.

I encourage any who match either of these descriptions and wish to know more, to leave a message at the Phoenix Company lodge south of the bridge by Wyrm's Crossing.

The Selunite Songmaiden would be seen frequently assisting Sister Rachel out in the Temple of Ilmater clinic. It would not matter what the task she is asked to perform; be it lancing a boil, cleaning bed pans, or aiding in the crafting of tinctures and salves. She does all of these with a peaceful smile upon her lips and a steady, determined pace and only leaves when the good Sister has no need of her help for the day.

Jeb Grimm returns to the temple of Tyr in BG, from his first visit as a Paladin, to The Friendly Arms Inn. He is commended by the clergy for his attention to detail when he reports that he discovered a popular merchant was in possession and attempting to sell a magic item of terrible evil.
The commotion turns quickly turns to recriminations when it was discovered that Jeb purchased a different item from this same merchant and potentially supporting a possible evil enterprise.
To attone, Jeb has been ordered to patrol the trade way at night and offer his services to everyone he meets as a means of learning who he should aid and who he should not.

Patrons of the Helm and Cloak were treated to a curious spectacle last night as a boisterous many scarred dwarf "blessed" the establishment with his patronage. Some say that he smelled like the road, others who were less kind say that he smelled like he rolled through the ditches on his way in. The stout one devoured a very large platter of nothing but various meat, and downed enough ale to kill a horse. After declaring that everyone looked like they'd never seen a hungry dwarf before, the noisy one retired to his rented room for the night with his beard full of ale and grease. Occupants in the neighboring rooms could hear the dwarf mumbling to himself and stumbling around before passing out.

The half elf Wren Di'Corvi could be spotted briefly speaking to an anxious gentleman near the Pathfinder's Hall in quiet soothing tones. Any who passed near enough to overhear the conversation would note the silver-haired woman give regular reassurances that "the vampire had been destroyed", and that the man's "brother's spirit was now at rest, his debts as that monster paid in full." She would then speak to a nearby Flaming Fist investigator- who seemed to be securing what appeared to be a crime scene just outside the Pathfinders. Brief words are exchanged, and the half elf makes her way toward the Harbor District, and the Flaming Fist headquarters.

Four have been marked as potental locations, but I would like to speak with all those interested in joining this project for their thoughts and suggestions. Of course, the Dukes would have to approve.

Sponsors: These are the generous merchants who provide goods or services at a free or reduced cost to help keep the clinic running.

Liason: This person or persons will be the one handling the offical paperwork and attending meetings with the Dukes and other dignitaries that might be required. A knowledge of political protocal is required.

Architect (temporary): Someone to actually design the interior on paper before the construction can begin.

I'm not sure if it should be warded or not. These are the ideas so far that I've come up with. Please, by all means share yours. I've received a good bit of interest from others in establishing this, and will shortly be getting a survey drafted up to see about the number and types of injuries out in the dock area, to validate the need for this. I'm also volunteering a bit more at the Ilmater clinic with Sister Rachel to get more hands on experience. I look forward to hearing from everyone!

If anyone wishes to sign up for a position or obtain more information, please leave word at the Halls of Inner Light.
