Ameris sweeps back into the temple, apparently just in time to deal with this latest crisis. He is kept quite busy with the matter, and his usual apologies for absence are briefer than usual!

The next time Alexandra visits the temple to scribe a copy of Mi-Le's journal (if she does so again), she would find a thin slip of paper poking out from between the book's pages. The slip of paper bookmarks
one journal entry.

The appearance of the scribe at the temple is regular and punctual. She offers a cordial smile and her usual greeting towards the man and his animal companion: "Fair day to you."

When the latest youths are given succor within the confines of the humble building, the blonde wordlessly relocates as needed so that her presence does not interfere with their recovery.

On this particular day, the scholar makes a copy of the referenced entry not only for Candlekeep, but for herself. The leather-bound notebook that serves as her personal journal comes into view, and the words of Mi-Le are added to its pages.

Two elves walked into the temple, known by the names of Elyssa and Laitae. The golden haired elf inquired if brother Ameris was present, to return certain items.

*Fox, ever present in the temple of late would greet both elves, nodding and smiling especially to Laitae before introducing himself in full to Elyssa. As usual, he is all grins and chuckles, full of exuberance.*
"Ahh, greetings ladies, greetings. Welcome to my humble abode! It is good to see you again, Madame Lafreth. Or should I say Guide, as I hear it these days. What, you are looking for Ameris? I do believe he is hereabouts, undoubtedly hiding from his duties as usual."
*The Fox would stomp off, all exaggerated bluster, yelling for Ameris that he has guests.*

The elf would introduce herself. "Elyssa Symbaern, it is a pleasure to meet." As the fox stomped off to look for Ameris, her hand raised to no avail. "I wished but to retu- ...." Pursing her lips, she sighed slightly with an amused smile to Laitae. Reine was seen entering the temple, where the three exchanged words for a time. Elyssa left a handful of wands for the sister, to be returned to Brother Ameris.

*The Fox appears restless as the tenday nears its end. A caged animal held too long, perhaps. He paces through the temple, his brow furrowed as if musing over some unknown decision. He moves to the door and opens it, leaning on the door frame and looking out into merely a larger prison. He sighs, wistful rather than upset but slowly closes the door. He lowers his head, eyes closed nose and hat brim nearly resting on the closed portal. Finally he turns, returning to his cloistered abode, searching for something to occupy his restless hands, mind...soul?*

*The Fox, engages Ameris immediately in playful banter as he performs his duties, ever at hand with a quip or jest, seeking to lighten his foreboding mood. He remains close at hand, offering the priest his presence and rudimentary abilities in treating minor injuries, all the while whistling some sea shanty or other. When not with the priest, he spends his free moments with Mathilda, as she permits. He sets Cinder to sit outside her door when he is not present, a meaningful glance between himself and his companion ensuring that she knows her task. No one is to enter but him. No one.*

Without a doubt Ameris is grateful for the aid, and it seems to lift his worry. There is certainly plenty to do, and Ameris would suggest that even the lifting of spirits is a welcome thing for the needy in the infirmary.

*The Fox remains at the priest's side the entire day, until bidden otherwise. After, he remains in the temple, receiving perhaps some odd looks from the staff that are used to seeing his wanderlust drag him outside for at least an hour or two each day. He seems...determined and focused.

A man dressed in red dragon scale armor walks through the front door. Removing his hood he looks around slowly as if he were remembering the past. He approaches sister Adolina and smiles.
"I have a donation for the temple."
He pulls a sack of coin from his side and sets it upon the counter. The sack is heavy and bursting at the seams.
"Please let Brother Ameris know that Jarresh Stillwater is back upon the Coast. Let him know that if he needs anything, he can reach me at the Helm and Cloak. My sword and shield are his to command, if need be."
He smiles to her and turns for the door.
"It was good to see this temple again... So many memories..."
He lets the last fall from his lips in a whisper as he heads out.

When Ameris hears of Jarresh's visit, and donation, he smiles brightly.
"Well, that is good news! Vigilance is needed, most certainly! I will draft a letter of thanks."
And sure enough, he does.

*Late in the night Fox could be seen leaving the temple, a bundle on his back likely containing his belongings. He slips out whilst the temple sleeps, somber and solemn as he strides quickly through the city, his pace quickening as he moves almost as if something is at his heels spurring him on. He reaches the dock, fumbling through his belongings and holding up a missive to the ferryman, bidding him to take him to the ship where he makes berth. He casts one look back over his shoulder toward the city proper before stepping on to the ferry and nodding to the ferryman for departure.*

With Alexandra Keenan's permission, Tarina would arrive at the Church of Ilmater to take the seeker's place for several days in scribing entries from Mi-Le's journal. Lacking Alexandra's practiced skill as a scribe, Tarina's efforts are slower and her handwriting a good deal worse. With luck, however, the time Alexandra saves to catch up with her other duties is worth the loss in writing quality.
