Rumors begin to circulate about a possible necromancer around the Hilltop Ruins near the bridge. He was seen in the company of two armed skeletons, a zombie, and a large, vile-looking serpent. He is described as a bald human male with a thick mustache.

[parchment]Greetings unto you,
I would ask that you permit me a boon, as you may have heard Lord Eldarian Al'maire and myself have been seeking donations for a Temple of Lathander to be built near Baldur's Gate. As well we have been preparing an Event to further garner donations. With this I ask if you would give Charitable Service in protection for the Event. The time and place will be the 5th of Eleint 1353 out at the Arena in the Northern Farmlands outside of Baldur's Gate.
Please send word to the Friendly Arm Inn or the Helm and Cloak if you will be able to spare anyone.
Thank you,
Lena[/parchment]

Just the other night in the area north of the Baldur's Gate, there was what seemed to be a series of duels.
A young woman with red hair and chainmail fought a man in black and copper armor with a flaming sword.
They clashed several times, spells flying, elementals being summoned, all focused on the warrior with the flaming sword as he cut through them to defeat the young woman several times. Still she got up and went again.
At the end of three or four of these matches, the warrior winning them all, the pair went off together, talking merrily with each other and a half-elf that had joined them.
With shakes of heads, the farmers and hands that had stopped to watch also dispersed, a couple of comments like "Those Bladestone folks.... so wacky..." heard as everyone returned to their work.

Two ladies saunters through Baldurs Gate small talking. The one with ruffled up red hair, and the other with beautifully blonde flowing locks, silver-white highlights showing. They carry a stack of flyers in their hands. On their way through the city they tack posters up and greets passing strangers with a smile, also offering them one of their flyers, which ends in the occasional small talk.

After several days of being sequestered away, the half elven woman known as Wren can again be seen about the East Gate district of Baldur's Gate. Dark circles rest under her eyes, and her hands wear a plethora of ink stains. She certainly appears to have been burning the midnight oil. Despite the weariness, she seems to bear a determined air.

A large black warhorse with a distinct ruddy mane is being kept at the city stables. The rider, an eastern foreigner, arrived by night, alone, and paid two weeks worth of care for the animal for one week of keeping.
Travel here looks to have been hard on the steed. His ebony coat is unkempt, hooves tender and great ribs visible under green dragon scale barding he is armored with. Several wounds on the horse look to have been healed by magical means within the last six months. On its heaving chest the steed wears the heraldry of House Vyacheslav of Surthay.
Though worse for wear the animal is easily recognised as the warhorse of Boris Vyacheslav; "Xenubat" - a distinct and prize breed of House Ma'u.
