Rocks, hills, mountains are all very alive ecologies. It's also how drow druids can work as caves are similar.
I agree that "nature" in whatever form is definitely druid stomping grounds - I was picturing a Sahuagin druid tending to her kelp gardens on the sea-bed.
What makes a Dwarven druid cool for me is that it is not a typical class you think of when playing a Dwarf. Pikel went all-in with the green beard I thought - nice touch.

Anyone think of any other race/class pairings that make you go  ?

Im curious if Kaitlin Tindall Bloodhawk is canon on the server and to which extend pre-ToT reverence of the Red Knight takes form or shape. Seeing as most paladins join the Order of the Red Falcon, but is that even established prior to Lady Bloodhawk becoming the avatar for the Red Knight during the ToT?

Many questions about the Red Knight and in particular this NPC character supposedly living on our very server? :D

Thanks for the question. It's been awhile since anyone has poked Old-Ark... :D

I'm going to start by saying that anything I post here is just my opinion, and not a DM ruling. I'd also add that there may be some players who know more about this topic than I because they have had Red Knight characters and may have furthered the RP more than I know (and frankly I haven't read every section of the forums either) so there may well indeed be great server RP out there already that I am (blissfully) unaware of.

In the time I've been on the server, I do remember discussions here and there about the Red Knight, their prominence in BGTSCC and their place in server lore. I had to dig out some of my old Dusty Tomes (read into that what you will) and go hunting for a True Name or two. There isn't much:

"The church of the Red Knight was not a distinct entity from the church of Tempus until the end of the Time of Troubles. At that point, a small organization of priests and monks split off from their parent church, apparently encouraged by Tempus himself. For decades afterward, many still believed the Red Knight to merely be an aspect of Tempus and Tempurans only barely tolerated their god's dissemination of power, ensuring the church remained relatively small. The Red Knight's heroics, however, ensured a dedicated following in southwest Faerûn. The faith began to come into its own in 1361 DR, after the Horde War of the previous year."

Eric L. Boyd (1997). Powers and Pantheons. (TSR, Inc), pp. 44-45 ISBN 0-7869-0657-X

Specifically to your question, I can find no specific references to Kaitlin Tindall Bloodhawk and the Order of the Red Falcon that are date-stamped prior to the ToT. There is mention that, "The Order of the Red Falcon was a group of fighters and paladins dedicated to the service of the Red Knight. From their base just north of Baldur's Gate, the Citadel of Strategic Militancy, they taught tactics, strategy and military history to aspiring officers who sought their teachings." (Thomas M. Reid, Sean K. Reynolds (Nov. 2005). Champions of Valor. (Wizards of the Coast), p. 103. ISBN 0-7869-3697-5.)

With respect to "server" canon lore on this, to the best of my knowledge:
1. There is no server map/area specifically dedicated to the Red Knight. I am thinking here primarily of the Citadel.
2. For all intents and purposes, Kaitlin Tindall Bloodhawk would be an NPC "famous person" even though she will not rise to fame for a few years yet in our server time line. Lots of NPC's live on the server, IMHO she would be one of them.
3. In terms of the Red Knight, if you can choose her as your deity when you make your character, the aspect of the god(dess) is a part of our server lore.

If you have a character who worships the Red Knight I am certain that you could find a place in the server's existing guilds to RP. As the deity becomes an exarch of Tempus (mortal ascended by the god, not a demi-god per se) I personally don't see much of a "church" of the Red Knight at this point in the time line. (First temple built in Cimbar in 1359 - Sean K. Reynolds, Master Tactician. Magic Books of Faerûn. Wizards of the Coast.)

As with anything else though, I will add that in my opinion effective and consistent role playing makes all the difference as to where things go on our server - good luck, and feel free to poke me in game for a little RP.

Is it safe to assume IC lunar events to follow the same schedule as IRL?

Meaning, today we'll be having a lunar eclipse. For characters who worship a deity associated with the moon, this is somewhat important. Should players of such characters consult IC lunar calendars, if possible (and risk disagreeing with the majority on lunar phases) or just use the IRL one?

A character belongs only to their player, and only them. And only the player may decide what happens.

The Wizards of the Coast has a link to a calendar that they say has lunar phases on it, that corresponds to the Calendar of Harptos. It is the only source of FR lore that I know of that has this kind of information. In terms of the server, I suppose lunar cycles could be used by individual characters for RP purposes, but anything related to an event or something that would be applied server wide should be floated past the DM team first. Here is the link:

Random loot generator names

Ok is it just me, or are there some pretty hilarious loot names randomly generated? I came across, "Falchion of the Ogre's Big Toe."

What's the funniest thing you've found?
