Guiding Light
Adrift in this exspanse of sea
Where is the lighthouse to shine through the night?
My guiding light to lead me, to save me
Struggling to keep my head above water
The sea sings to me a sirens song
To sweetly drag me to depths below
Storms rage; to sweeten songs sullen sway
Winds cry out in beastly wails
Calling me to sunken grave
What can save me?
To bring me back to sandy soil
To a place I call home
I drifted away, blind in sight
My sails are torn by winds of change
I am sinking; alone, adrift, a sea of despair
I need help, a ship I cannot sail alone
To make it through the ravaged dark
To live again in home and hearth
Home lies with the heart
An anchor, my focus, guiding light
So I find, my home is found here with you
