Sinqnew's ( Iron ) Experimental Work

I thought why not bother posting it on here, since this portion of the forums is OOC. Normally these are done and posted in the Experimental Lab portion of the WeaveMasters Forums so that Weavemasters only are aware ICly, not to public eyes. Thought it would be fun to stick these here as well, maybe will help get me going to work on newer pieces. I'm not offically a concept artist, but at my school we are taught concept drawing, perspective, life drawing etc,

I am personally heading into 3D Enviromental Modelling, so these aren't so much my focus. While I'm fine with doing quick and decent sketch outs and roughs/thumbnails of random things, to characters or mainly enviroments, I have a difficult time sitting myself down and finishing a piece... like adding shading and color, and cleaning up the line quality too of course. I thought of them as a fun outlet for interesting RP on the side and to give backstory to Iron's odd... projects, that may be considered something else if seen by non Magi.

Irons first success in turning non organic material into organic. Just a pile of flesh and eyes.

Image
Taking the creature to the next level of warping, adding more eyes and horns and something of a bone.

Image
Giving the same subject now a mouth, teeth, and movable legs.

Image
Now more evolved and has more structure.

The hidden Mastermold project ongoing at the towers Laboratory - the beginning of a mechnical golem able to build more copies of itself or other types. This one is really messy, I should do up some ideas for something interesting, and put it actually together.

This is a second revisement of Mastermold... I still believe I will be changing a few minor things before changes happen. Then I'll do up a good copy.

One of Sinqnew's newer experimental subjects, almost like a warped sack of flesh, cant really think of anything to relate it to. Also did a 3D version for practice and fun, learning a new sculpting program at my institution and we needed some sort of our own reference to make some kind of creature. Thought why not something from the mage's warped creepy concepts.

Havent been able to put teeth in it yet and havent made the feet more clawed-like. Tentacles seemed like a bit too much, so I kept them out!

New Rp ideas going along with the guilds new reforms, I decided to start doing some Speed Painting ideas for Propaganda/Recruitment posters for the WeaveMasters. They're speed paintings, so they aren't something I plan on taking weeks to finish. As a environment 3D artist, i'm slightly out of the groove to say at the least when it comes to character pieces, so this one was more of a warm up. It took me about a good hour to complete.

The background was left extremely simple, because it is not the focus and I forgot to have it as a seperate layer, so it was a bit of a pain to work with without accidently painting over the front image. Future posters for the weavemasters will likely be more like wartime american propaganda posters - as that is somewhat the aim Sinqnew is going for - not only recruitment, but giving the guild a new strong image. Next one I'll do make it less dark-looking and more dramatic with some action. Maybe like a mage stabbing a demon with a WeaveMaster banner or something.

New sort of idea to continue the new weavemaster image campaign, just a quick rough, and then I'll do a speed painting of it tonight hopefully. Simple theme again, getting into a groove of keeping this as good practice. Something also to begin promoting the image of MasterMold, the potentially contraversal figure of the future. Maybe a corny propaganda line to go with the poster

" WeaveMasters... bringing the fight back to necromancy, so you can sleep soundly at night! "

A quick speed painting render of Mastermold's current stage - The final assembly! Oh the things that go on below the tower...

Been busy with finishing some portfolio work lately... and I wasn't so happy with the digital paintings I was doing on here anyhow, gone back to traditional drawing for getting the basic outline before painting in digital. I finally decided to do a concept and get Sinqnew's portrait done, I may try and push this a bit further, but didn't want to spend TOO much time on it.

His focus in the labs brings fruition slightly, a newly 'designed' helmet for preserving himself. There's no helmet really in game that can match the concept I liked, but oh well. Can at least imagine this is what it would appear like.

Sinqnew's plot thickens, bringing new forms to life in the belly of the tower! I think I'll do a quick-paint of these rough concepts. Not sure how it will turn out.

Loyal subjects... No bias... no beliefs... and can aid in the construction of more. More. A army of steel, iron and modified flesh-creatures!

With the aid of the mechanical glory of the golems, Sinqnew's own overhaul of his body complete! I'm still not too happy with how this turned out... but I didnt want to spend too much time on this. I dont enjoy doing self portraits of characters too much, but its hard to describe his appearance constantly, especially after his overhaul now. And with Neverwinter's limited appearance choices, can only go so far.

He looks a bit more sinister then I planned now that I look at it twice.. Oh well. Its my right as French Canadian to look angry.

The rise of MasterMold!

Thanks to Charraj and the tower debacle, the project was moved with ease while attention was focused elsewhere. I'll have to figure out where to post the rise somewhere in the forums of when Sinqnew activated him.. just unsure which forum section to place in yet.
